If there is one team that can beat us down (Not actually making that claim, knocking on wood) this is the one. Don't be nervous though, they're not gonna do what they did to the Rams even in their own house we have 2 games worth of film to figure out how Kyler did so well against us I think we'll have some new stuff in place for Jackson (AND they just lost their center, kid better look out for DJ). That’s how good the Seahawks are. They can have an off-day and still be one good play away from kicking an opponent’s ass.
In that same vein, as n opponent can play what looks like dominant football and still wind up having little to show for it, like the 49ers did in the first quarter.
The Seahawks play to their competition; they just need to avoid crucial mistakes that allow opponents to look better than they are. Close games almost always favor them.

Russ threw a red-zone INT that would have been a TD with just a little more touch.
Germaine Ifedi tried to run with a saved fumble (he snatched the ball out of Russ’s hands), when he should have fallen down. Instead he gave up a scoop-and-score to give S.F. new life at 17 points! The 49ers were mentally defeated until that play.
The Seahawks could easily have beaten the 49ers 35-10 if not for those three mistakes!
The Seahawks are the most dangerous team in the league right now. They haven’t even peaked yet, and if they meet the Ravens in the Super Bowl the smart money would be on the Seahawks.
Almost no team beats them twice in a season, and I don’t think an AFC team has done it since the 1990’s - unless the Steelers played Seattle in 2005-06 regular season before playing them in Super Bowl XV.

But this team has emphasized that they know there’s a lot of season left. They don’t underestimate any team but still feel confident they can win and go all the way. But if you listened to any interview by any of them besides that one with ET you’ll see how much they emphasize this “one game at a time” mentality. So just with context imma disagree but without the context I understand where you’re coming from. Cockiness and hype destroys teams.

It's just based on a week-by-week form. If another team has shown more improvement, and the Patriots have shown less, or a specific weakness, you can't base a ranking solely on their record.

The pat beat easy teams and while playing decent teams scored less then 20 points. The ravens have scored more than 37 points in 4 straight games against playoff worthy teams while giving up 43 points TOTAL

Lloyd J : Nope! The Seahawks are nothing if not consistent. They are creatures of habit. That’s why they are the team most likely to finish their last 5 games undefeated, which is a real problem for the 49ers.
The Seahawks are the best December team in the league, and they are just heating up.
Please understand that my “very positive outlook” is based on a long history of trends! It is a realistic outlook.
Sure, any team can catch any team slipping, but it will likely be the Rams or the Panthers (possibly both).
The odds of going 8-0 on the road are small. But both teams have subpar (if not lousy) QB play, and they’re both falling apart at this juncture.
The Seahawks have characteristically been a nightmare to play against in Seattle, and winning all five of their final games would keep them consistent with their 8-year trend, which is about 11 wins per season. To do that, they need 13-14 wins this year, and based on the info that I have given you the Seahawks are more likely to finish 14-22 or 13-3 than 12-4.
The last time they started this well they went to the Super Bowl, and they had home field advantage. 12-4 will still put them into the wild card.
So no, I’m not buying that.
Did you look at the info above? The 49ers can’t seem to buy a win against the Seahawks half the time on their own field, and they have an abysmal record in Seattle.
The Seahawks were really just three plays from blowing them out 35-10 a few weeks ago, which I have found most people don’t realize.

The Seahawks were far more dominant over the 49ers (on THEIR) field, than the 27-24 score indicates.
They did steal one from us last year, and I think our youth had a lot to do with it.
Our young players are STILL learning that it doesn’t matter how good you think you are, or what your record or trend is, ANY team can beat you on any given Sunday if you let your guard down.
They went into the second 49ers game cocky and gave a half-assed effort. They are starting to understand what it takes to be a championship caliber team.
The Seahawks also have another advantage: they are slowly trending upward, so they won’t peak too early and risk flaming out, like the Ravens are doing.
I think the Ravens’ heads are getting too big. ET already has them going to the Super Bowl, and they’ve still got 1/3 of the season left.
They could still theoretically wind up as a wild card team!

@@DeCurtaRican well we kind of did peak during the first part of the season. Something we haven't done since the Pete Carrell Era. It makes me concerned the trends of the past will not play out the same this season.
Our defense has been playing better and I hope it continues. I hope we continue to bring pressure on the qb and stop the run.
I'm definitely not a niner fan boy but what they did the green bay has me on edge. When their offense is healthy, they can beat anybody. The Seahawks should have blown out the niners and eagles but they let them stay in the game. If we don't correct that down the stretch, it can bite us in the back. I really like Metcalf but his hands are average at best.

Almost no games are on a neutral field, this game determines a ton as far as playoff seeding do you football?

I mean seriously, there's only one game left on the NFL schedule that will be on Neutral field the international games are done and this game is very big in determining who gets to play that game. Ok I'm done, just think before you type lol

If the Ravens *dominate* then it would. Homefield only gives you wiggle room. Maybe a score or two; extra penalties. But we'll know if Baltimore dominates or not. (And you have to admit that if the 49ers win, then it would determine a lot. Plus if Baltimore wins and New England loses that could give the Ravens home field advantage through the playoffs, which would be huge.) I support the 49ers but I don't see them beating the Ravens AND the Saints on the road, especially when the 49ers go on the road in a week where they have one less day to prepare, and then play the Saints when the latter has three extra days to prepare.
