Jerry Cole youre strongest at the top of the motion the hardest part is getting it off your chest. locking your arms increases the range of motion but it also gives you a rest at the end of the press. if you dont lock you keep the tension on the muscle and off the joint which makes for a more intense set. these guys have all likely been lifting like this since high school.

If you look at world strongest man contests, there are quite many winners and elite challengers in their mid or even late 30s. Strength is the last motoric trait one loses with age. So i think he rather had an advantage here because of his age.

    • @BlackWhiteBeast

This man has insanely great genetics along with insane athletic abilities just like the men competing in those world strongest men competitions, but without the steroids.

Here's my solution for all of the locked elbows arguments.... Have them bench an empty barbell and hold it up and mark its height of when the person's elbows are fully and properly locked out... and that's the height they gotta reach for all the 225 reps to ensure the legitimacy of each rep
