That actually makes so much sense now, I have been looking at other NFL explained videos but none of them explain the Superbowl and how to get into it.
It's theoretically possible that an entire division could split their games with each other and lose to every other interdivisional opponent. The entire division would tie at 3-13, someone would not only win the tie breaker and make the playoffs, but actually have a home game in the first round to a superior opponent. This exact scenario may never happen, but the Seattle Seahawks did this at 7-9 a few years ago.
@@hachisthoughts now there’s 17 games. Instead of there being 2 conference leaders with a bye, there’s only 1. There’s also 7 playoff teams instead of 6. Do u watch nfl
Both, but it’s 11 other games now. 4 of them come from a different division in the same conference, 2 come from the other two divisions in the same conference that have the same placing as your team (ex: if you placed 2nd in your division, you’d play against the other two teams in that conference that placed second that you haven’t played against yet). Another 4 games come from an entire division of the opposite conference, while the last game comes from a different division from the opposite conference with a similar standing to your team. If that makes sense

I know I'm late, but the team with the highest record gets the 1st seed, 2nd highest record gets 2nd seed, and so on. In the 1st round of the playoffs, the 7th seed will play the 2nd, 6th will play the 3rd, and 5th will play the 4th. That's seeding for ya.
