Watching this opening cutscene actually feels nostalgic because it reminds me of the cutscenes used in previous Mario sports games for the GameCube.

Bowser getting blown away after stopping King Bob-Omb reminds me so much of Toadstool Tour, where he got blown up in his rage because Wario and Waluigi gave him a black eye. He was just trying to play some golf. He's playing very fairly here.

I haven't been able to play the game yet, but something about Daisy chasing down Peach and then pulling out a pair of golf clubs like she's about to give her the old 5-iron to the face is just remarkable to me.
Wario and Waluigi always be killing it in these cutscenes

These types of animations are the Inés I wanted back, such as the ones in Mario Power Tennis, so I enjoyed this cinmeatic a lot when I saw it in the game!!! Thank you Nintendo!!! ❤

I love full motion video cut scenes. For those that don't know, full motion videos are scenes done not with the power of the video game console, but instead they are done with the power of supercomputers. It's why the graphics of a full motion video always look gigantic leaps better than the graphics of when you're playing the game . While full motion is no longer used much these days, it's still sometimes reserved for introduction or ending sequences to a game. Beyond much better graphics, it can display an unlimited amount of things happening on screen all at once, something the console would crash trying to do so.
Nintendo and Camelot never cease to amaze me with the cinematic openings like this one.
Bro Pauline!! I hope she's playable in the new Mario Party, she's been in Mario tennis and now Mario golf, so it's time for her to be in a Mario party game
She also made an appearance as a playable driver in Mario Kart Tour. I hope that she'll made an appearance as a playable character in the next Mario Kart.

Mario tennis aces started getting dlc after 1 month from the launch

This cutscene is an amazing reference to the GameCube sports games where Wario and Waluigi always finds a way to mess things up to win and Mario ends up winning! Nostalgic!

That's because it runs on an outdated graphics engine. The game looks barely better than the Gamecube one from over 15 years ago
I want the coin shoot mode from toadstool tour back. I always used to play this with my grandma and mother. now she turns 80 years while having Alzheimer's and was excited to play this game
with me but the current modes are to difficult for her to understand. It broke my heart when she kept asking about the coin shoot mode she loved playing with her grandson.

Another Mario game, cool! I really enjoy the trailer. The beginning looks pretty interesting, considering the part where Mario helps Peach, but the part where Bowser, Wario, and Waluigi launched to the ground is just sad.

At least Battle League's victory and losing animations did have SOME personality in them, as toned down as they were

I like that this video has official closed captioning for the Mario characters, even for simple one-liners and sound effects.
Too bad it gets some lines wrong. Like for example at 1:23 where it close captions Wario's "That's us" as "Wa-that", or 2:02 where it mistakes Waluigi's screaming as "King Bob-omb chuckles" even though the dude doesn't even make a sound in that scene, and doesn't mention Wario also screaming
