The best thing about this game is we already know it’s good. The game reviewed really well in Japan. It’s now getting a localization which is cool.

I’m so glad a publisher picked it up for an English release, finally!! I thought it was lost forever on the depths of JP-only Vita releases. Can’t wait to play it 👍🏽👍🏽
This wasn't the case when Earthbound was made, it did well in japan, but it never did in america until Nss was in the first smash bros game Only then, did Americans warm up to Earthbound.
I think the coolest part about this is that it plays differently everytime. I've never really seen a mystery solving visual novel with so much replayability.
oh, that's interesting. A bit like that old Blade Runner game then, where the replicants where randomly decided at the start of each game

For those of you who know this game, is it something like: "someone got possessed, does bad things to a crew of some sorts, we the player have to find who it is, but each playthrough, the culprit changes (and maybe the story?))

Yes, as far as I can tell, it's mafia like(danganronpa or among us if you prefer, actually danganronpa might be the closest) but more story based. I wouldn't expect too much in the sense of gameplay, looks visual novel like.
got some zero escape vibes from it, or "Virtue's Last Reward", so Im interested.
Soooo lost dimension but a visual novel? I think I saw a screenshot of this ones but thought it was a zero escape spinoff.
"Search to make sure I remembered the name right" oh hey it's on steam now neat. Most people I've talked to who've played it liked it but man did it get buried.
You're... sort of there? Gnosia are similar to the werewolves in werewolf in that you get "infected" with it, so that's why it's different people in every round (it has an equal chance of infecting anyone, basically) and the Gnosia, as Setsu put it "exist only to erase humans, that's just what they do", or putting it another way "becoming a Gnosia you're overcome with the desire to erase humans". Something like that. And as also mentioned, people who are attacked by Gnosia don't so much get "killed" as they "disappear". They're essentially erased from the universe.
I've been through the game twice at this point so I hope this answered some questions! There are more info that comes out in the story but this is the general description of what Gnosia are and what they do!
Sort of like Higurashi, I guess.

Everything got overshadowed by the Among Us reveal. If anything, the comparisons being drawn are giving this game more attention.

@@justaguy3983 Yes he is, because it's far more like Mafia than Among Us. The part where people die at "night" and people talk about their "roles" should be dead giveaways.
Raqio's design is amazing, and I really am digging the art. The more I look into this game the more I want it, especially as a fan of zero escape. I really hope it gets a physical english release, but i'll definitely be picking it up either way.
Among us was not the first to do this kind of game btw.

YESSS!! I remember this getting a Japanese-only release on Vita ages ago, and it looked so interesting. So happy it’s finally getting an English release!! Art style and concept looks extremely on-point. Here for this! Will be supporting it.

This was my most excited reveal from yesterday's showcase. It reminds me of Zero Escape, which is probably my favorite series.
Why is everyone comparing this to Among Us and danganronpa when this is literally just Mafia/Werewolf as a visual novel? One person killed during the night, collective voting during the day , people having unique roles. Mechanically this is exactly like Mafia. Are there really so many people who've never played Mafia before?
First I heard of Mafia/Werewolf was from this.

I’m halfway through this game and I absolutely love it. It was gripping in a way I don’t often feel with games!
There's actually a lot of these kinds of games, however most that I am aware of are that they're only available in Japanese. So I'm really happy to know that this is coming in English!

IGN isn't trustworthy imo. Remember Sonic Unleashed's review, how they said Sonic was never good (despite giving a lot of Sonic games scores over 6 with some even getting 10), the plagiarised Dead Cells review, the badly written Xenoblade Definitive Edition review, etc?
Then again, that was America I think, so nvm.
This game looks good either way though.
@@Cinko420 You do realize that just because one person on IGN doesn't like Sonic it doesn't mean other people on IGN can't like Sonic? Also the plagiarist got fired as soon as he was exposed. Not sure what theproblem with the Xenoblade, to my knowledge the only drama form that was that the reviewer didn't like a character that a lot of other fans liked.
