- During the Seattle Mariners hosting of the Houston Astros, Caballero was doing as he usually does, not engage the pitcher before 10 seconds or so. Houston Astro pitcher Bielak was "set" prior to Jose being alert, so the batter would call time out to avoid being rushed. The Astros catcher starts jawing with the batter and the benches would empty. No fighting, just jawing.

The home plate umpire failed to enforce the Scherzer rule. That's what set this whole thing off in the first place.
Cuzzi was also inconsistent calling balks in this game. He's been worse since his old crew chief Hallion retired.

Its always amazing to see how everyone comes out and theres always a good 5-7 players actually ready to swing but the rest 30+ players just hudle the fight area. I feel like in baseball they should let them square off for 30 secs. U got 30 sec to get one hit each lmaoo. Why not. They let hockey ppl fight for 2 mins.

I can't tell if baseball is a real team sport or an overly sensitive sport, with all the players coming out for absolutely no reason, I get that they're sticking up for their guy but there was no danger whatsoever of it turning ugly

That’s another reason why it’s called division rivalry, MLB fans, since there’s so many aggressive words and benching clear beefs going on between both teams.
This pitch clock rule wouldn't have to have been implemented if guys would just get in the damn box, pitchers would stop all the ridiculous waste of time for getting set, and just play the damn game. This is why a lot of people don't like baseball because of antics that caused the pitch clock to come into affect. Guys like Nomar Garciappara wasted so much time because he had "his ritual" between every at bat. If you're that good, and you are, just get in the box, get set and hit the damn ball. smh

Anyone who leaves the bullpen should get a 10 game suspension. This is some stupid shit. As a matter of fact, anyone who leaves the dugout should get 5 games. Let's do this like hockey. Let the 2 square off, third man in gets a suspension. (as I am aware there are others on the field so the hitting team is at a disadvantage)

Rule change isn't making enough difference in length of game to keep it. Cut down on length of commercials instead.

Huge mistake making the pitch clock part of the game. Takeout the clock and give out penalties for delaying the game. I have seen Peewee and Little League players with far better sportsmanship.

This needs to stop! Both players should recieve automatic ejections. The team that empties the bench first forfets the game. The managers should recieve a heavy fine for loosing control of the teams.

Usually the hitting team empties the bench first, since the hitter is all alone on the field with 9 opponents. If you ban clearing the bench, you'll only get more batters hit, as there won't be anything to disincentivize pitchers from throwing at them. It would be open headhunting season.
