28 Seasons Gameplay Ideas To Try | The Sims 4 Guide

I don't know if anyone has told you this your ideas are best and awesome

My favorite thing to do with Seasons is to make a beautiful green house. I know you don’t need Seasons to do it, but you need shelter if you have Seasons and want year round plants. Also the money tree gives more “fruit” if it’s sheltered.

Wow! I didn’t know this about the bluebells!!! I always have too many and did not know that scenting the bouquets preserved them. I had a retail store full of rotten flowers and didn’t know what to do 😩

I made a tree farm retail lot (technically I downloaded a barn from the gallery and modified to suit my needs). All of the holiday decorations are for sale, and I stuck a bunch of the undecorated trees outside among some debug trees. Now my sims can go shopping for their decorations and pick their own tree. The barn came with a little photo backdrop, so I made a knock off Father Winter that my sims will be able to take photos with.

Great vid as always. One thing I discovered (on accident) is that any holiday with the Flower Bunny tradition that takes place in Henford on Bagley will produce colored chicken eggs as opposed to the collectible ones. Was a great way to stock up on all the color (and rainbow) ones chicken produce.

Doesn't matter how long I've played this game you always have such great ideas and give me features I never knew existed. Also like that you remind me what it is I love about the game.

Could you do a video on Eco Lifestyle gameplay ideas? Since it’s free to play this weekend I’m wanting to try it out as thoroughly as possible 😆

Wonderful ideas! For number 10, I like to create community lots, and then I decorate them according to the seasons.
For example, during Winter, I turn it into a Makerspace for children and add some general crafting so my Sims can craft gifts for one another.
During summer, I turn it into a Marketplace with some water related side activities. I also spread some Juicers around so they can make and sell their stuff.
My favorites are Spring and fall, when I turn it into a community garden, with flower arranging tables that I replace with Pumkin Carving tables during Fall. I also add some Cauldrons and other Magic related things! I make it animal friendly so cats and dogs can hang around too, add some Yoga mats and other Zen stuff and you will wish such a place existed around your neighborhood, lol.
If you do a Park / Community Lot, you can get the best location for parties, holidays and celebrations. Just be sure to have at least a family around so they can vote on what you want at the turning of the seasons.

I love the roller disco idea! I love roller discos I don’t know why I never thought of that.

In one of my saves I added Patchy to the family. Now when Patchy is activated at other households in the save- he's the one that showed up.
I also played a story for him with Calab Vatore and he became a vampire. This was around the time when the "leave the game running unattended for X amount of time" videos were popular. So- in the sims way- I left it running- and came back to find Patchy had decided being out in the sun as a vampire was a great idea. So I rushed through the resurrection stuff with ambrosia etc.

Omg I didn't know kids could befriend snowpals, how adorable! Also thanks for reminding me of patchy, I have to add him to my farm. Great video as always :)

If you put the money tree in your household inventory when it can be harvested, then the fruit is separated from the tree, giving more fruit to plant instead of cash. Do this the first few harvests for a field full of money trees,

I like the idea of gift giving in the sims, but I usually don't use it because it's completely random if a sim likes or dislikes the gift. I made Mothers Day in my game, and used "give flowers" as one of the traditions, and my sim mom loved the flowers from most of the family, except she didn't like the flower her kid son gave her and then she had a festering grudge against him lol. It would be nice if we could turn the sentiments off. I also like the IDEA of the sentiments, but sometimes they are completely ridiculous and make zero sense.

Speaking of the lottery, after over 9,500 hours played not one of my Sims EVER won the lottery. Until today. My "Global Superstar" won the lottery. She already had over 2,000,000 Simoleans in the bank when she won.
What's another million? The rich keep getting richer - even in a game. I have a screenshot. I'll upload it to Steam in a bit.

I like having evil, childish, loner sims sabotaged all holidays like TVs on new years eve. I also have a will wright day that includes classic sim behavior, starving, creating fires, Romance, etc as a homage to the classic gameplay. I also have a week of summer where every day is a holiday with Sim INdependence day at on the last day so all sims are off on school and work for a week to go on vacations, travel around and really build bonds with bbqs, water fun, etc.
For Gift Giving/ Money giving - I use this to handle inheritance for my legacy families- I have a "will reading" family gathering and have the Sim who is inheriting the house and living with the sim who passed give money in 10K intervals to all the sims who were " in the will"
You have given me a great idea- Using Eco Lifestyle Community lots to Really invest in 3 major seasons- Snow, Heat wave, I guess I can push Rainy/Sunny into a half indoor half outdoor setting and have it be life a holiday market that I change with the seasons. ....Fall/Winter Together,,,Summer, Spring....yes....Thinking outloud about my weekend building project.
