I think what makes Sean Evans so connectable is that he sounds like a regular guy, yet he speaks as fluently as you'd want in an interviewer. He sounds like a regular dude but he speaks like he knows exactly what he wants to say next. So his conversation are full and fluent.

Not nearly as much "like" on Hot Ones from what I've seen, could be because of editing or Sean being the one leading the conversation rather than responding.

This is such a good chill conversation. Like they're not interrupting each other or constantly moving on., which should just be a regular thing people do but I've seen plenty of individuals that do not let their guest speak. I like Sean Evans because he has reverence for, and talks about, the people that have inspired him. With any form of creative entertainment, I’ll like it if is good, but I’ll be a life long fan if the creators can convey a certain amount of humility, respect, and appreciation; something that Sean does so effortlessly. I hope people that are inspired by him do the same.

I’m a born & raised New Yorker and I feel anytime someone isn’t from the USA or they are, but not from the metropolitan area, and they hear someone speak with a distinct accent, they automatically assume the person is from NY or NJ. Anyway, it’s a Chicago accent that you’re hearing. Sean is from Chicago.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This needs to happen more often. I love hearing Phil interview. He has such a fresh take on it. Keep it up.

I love the way you interview and you ask actually interesting questions! Your guests seem very comfortable, it feels like a nice conversation instead of an interrogation. Please keep doing these xx I do have a tiny editing critique. When the guest is giving a long interesting answer, you don’t have to cut to Phil every time he nods or says “hmm hmm”. It is great to cut it up a bit, but it can be distracting.

Love the conversation. You can definitely see Phil taking mental notes throughout but somehow at like 30 minutes in you can just sense that Sean is so comfortable and Phil is more relaxed that it's less of an entertaining show and more of a fly on the wall POV. Love it
This format works well for me. The only issue i could see is too much overlap in the guests between this, hot ones and H3H3. But with a bit of careful planning, this could work.

True, but I mean it also comes down to how much you like the interviewer. Personally, I'm not super into h3h3. Just doesn't do it for me. So I'd prefer to watch Phil interview the person given the choice.

Having a one, two punch with Casey and Sean... where do you go from here to keep that momentum going? You chose two guests that each share a respect for you and what you've accomplished and vice-versa. I'm in... these are conversations with engaging questions and answers and both times I've walked away feeling like I've learned more about the person and left me wanting more. Mission accomplished.

You give great interviews, it feels casual and fun which is refreshing. I would recommend talking to Sean about researching more. A lot of the questions asked (ie. Taco eating) were repeats from other interviews. You are good enough for creative and unique questions.
Did not expect to watch the whole thing, but watching these two vibe for an hour really entertained me. Love both of their shows

I absolutely loved every bit of this interview. The format was great and it really helped that you were working with someone who was so interested and open with you. I typically don't watch long interview videos like this, I just listen to it on a podcast. But, this video was very engaging, the set was perfect (I know how long they've been working on perfecting it) and it was framed beautifully. I'm really excited to see everything you and your team have been working on; you've really hooked me in.
