It's kind of mind blowing the squid is somewhat alive at the start of the process but it is what it is.
I love the taste of fried squid but this gave me a better appreciaton for the animal and preparation of squid dishes 💗

I mean, they're alive when they cut them length-wise, when they cut off the beak and tentacles, and when they rip out all the guts. I guess maybe at some point they went into shock or died from trauma, but there was never a moment when they stabbed/cut/destroyed the brain and/or heart; so they could've thrown them away as conscious as a squid can be.

I don't understand what made you think it's somewhat alive, and only at the start of the process. The brain is kept intact and connected to undamaged vital organs. It's alive throughout. That's the whole point.

Yeah, I encourage anyone who are critical about the way we kill animals to investigate the way other animals kill. We're not above nature. I encourage all to attempt to create better conditions for animals, but just remember we're not angels put on this planet to save all the cute animals, we're animals too and we eat both animals and plants.

오늘 점심에 건오징어 구워먹었는데 오징어 회 보니까 먹고싶어지네요 평소에도 오징어랑 문어 쭈꾸미 갑오징어같은 것들을 좋아하는데 오징어 회니까 더 먹고싶어지네요 위생도 좋고 솜씨도 좋아보이셔서 나온 결과물이 너무 이쁩니다

Except that fish feed is largely made from...you guessed it...wild caught fish. Also commercially farmed fish doesn't necessarily equal quality and food safety. Because of population densities and high concentrations of animal waste found in water of commercial fishing farms, many fish and surrounding fauna will contract disease and die as a result, causing damage to surrounding ecosystem and lowering efficiency and yield even further. The best solution to ensure food safety is to reduce fish production and give fish enough time to rebound from declining population density. Also there must be designated areas in which commercial fishing is completely prohibited to provide fish populations with a stable environment for them to have a chance to rebound in numbers. These areas must be monitored and protected from illegal fishing by appointed organizations to ensure that fish population density increases sufficiently for humans to harvest without risking exhaustion of fish stocks.

It seem like most of this sea food is served raw…not used to that here in the states. Raised in the mountains near the east coast everything was completely cooked before eating. I must try this someday.

Welp, I'm from America and I can say, people here like food but hate the slaughter part generally! Quite a faux pas topic to most but the heartiest of Foodies❤ But, to me, it's just the part of the process of food. So, I might as well enjoy it!
