- FIRST LOOK: the G80 is getting a performance upgrade from Genesis. On the outside you will notice the bright orange exterior paint, forged aluminum wheels, and performance exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by special Recaro race seats, Alcantara and Carbon fiber. Under the hood is a twin-turbo V6 that pumps out over 500HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2025 Genesis G80 Magma Edition a BETTER performance sedan than a BMW M5?

Genesis is popping off. Those two vehicles presented in this video have actually got some of the best interior and exterior styling out of any vehicle in my opinion.
The way the make them so clean and consistent by combining side blinkers with aero etc. BEAutiful vehicles
I've had a v6 GV70 for 2 years now, and I couldn't be happier. Everyone that has been in it has been blown away by how luxurious it is and it's been 100% reliable.
G70 3.3 has been my favorite car Iโve owned my whole life

2 years, of course it should be reliable. If after 60-100k miles it's still reliable then we're talking
I've owned a number of Mercedes, BMW and Audis, and none of them were 100% reliable after 2 years. My Genesis has been 100% reliable and it's great drive.

I own a 2020 G70 and absolutely love it. I was talking with some of the folks at the dealership and mentioned what Iโd like to see in an upcoming package with Genesis and itโs literally ๐ฏ of what I described to them. Iโm in love all over again!!! Genesis is killing it!!! ๐๐ป ๐๐ป

Albert Bierman is killing it!!! Looking to get this as my next ride๐ฏ Currently own a 2020 Veloster N performance package 6mt at 55,000 miles and it's been flawless fun and performance. Totally happy with it and looking to upgrade into a performance sedan. Was looking at the BMW M2 CS but waiting for the price of the this car reviewed.

@@ericdavis2312when you can get 650hp+ out of a 6 cylinder with improved fuel economy compared to a v8 thereโs really no point outside of the exhaust note lol
@Postingam2 I guess it depends on how much you put interest in long-term reliability. A NA V8 will last a lot longer than a turbo v6 due to the strain being put on the engine. I like the fact that my NA V8 sounds better and will probably run well past my lifetime as the car owner with only regular maintenance required.

Imagine going back 30 to 40 yrs in the past and telling people that Kia and Hyundai will be top dogs in the car industry, people will think that you have lost your damn mind well Iโm sure now some people got proved wrong and the Magma Edition might be a way for Genesis to prove that they can hang with the European Brands
Never thought Iโd see Hyundai or Kia outperform any of bmw or Audis models but here we are with the K5 besting almost every i3 and the G70 3T besting all i4s, G80 sparing with a Mercedes S class. Definitely getting interesting out here. Almost forgot to add the Kia telluride whooping both BMW and Kia in value and luxury.
Well fiat now owns Ferrari and Chrysler corporation.

@@andretomlinson507 Yeah, after the recent hyundai/kia thefts in the US, their reputation dropped a lot. But I'm in Canada and Hyundai is still highly sought after here since ours had immobilizers installed from factory.

I owned a 2019 M5 Competition and I would take this Genesis over my M5 as long as it looks like this and was cheaper! Absolutely stunning! Great job, Joe and Lori!
Depending on the engine choice, it would be from 70 to 100k.
considering if you see the price of a g80 3.5t at dealers is for sale at 75k. I would think the performance version will jump to atleast 100k. expensive brakes, more hp, bigger turbos, carbon fiber. yea, wont be for sale cheap. nothing at genesis is cheaper by a big margin.
