Man, why did they make it so cool, then decide to discontinue it. The NSX was always underrated. Such a sweet car.
They shouldβve kept it going smh
Because no one buys these. The people who can even afford these will just buy a slightly used Lambo Hurrican for nearly the same price.
You're right... THATS how the front for the NSX should have looked like! I'm looking at the previous nsx fronts biiiiig difference! Sheesh..
@@dylanfarris7647 This looks better I saw both a Hurrican and a 2019 orange Nsx in person.. Nsx is by far the sexier vehicle
the car is nice but for 200,000.00 the people who can afford this car will go for a Lamborghini or some other car for a little bit more the c8 corvette start at 60,000.00 and you get a capable sports car for not a lot compare to its competitors then you gave tge c8 zo6 coming out and even if that car is double which I don't think it will be still a better value than the Acura car once again great car but I think the price is a little hight compared there competitors offerings.
considering that the base price of the nxs is DOUBLE the base price of the zo6, it BETTER be better.
That applies to other cars as well....not just the NSX.
People will buy the more expensive cars/models in a performance range/spec range solely for brand appeal, exclusivity, and looks. I'd buy this Type S but not a standard NSX.
But that's the part they don't understand the base C8 is $100k cheaper than the NSX and a lot of other mid engine cars. A person will be able to buy the C8 for $70k throw another $10-15k in mods and it will dog walk a lot of other cars out here while looking good doing it. I don't understand the mentality of car manufacturers when they bring certain cars back and they put it out of reach from the gear heads that made the platform popular in the first place. Back in the day an average man could get his hands on a NSX now a days the new NSX it isn't possible. It will be a matter of time before you see the NSX getting gapped by an average Joe with his C8 on 1320 or any other channel like it smh. The Average guy is what makes the car popular not the rich guys that garage queen it.
@@Harold10ful right, but you won't stand out in an average guy's sports car. Rich people buy expensive cars for the status. They can also afford to modify their cars if they're concerned about stoplight racing or bragging rights. Manufacturers are a business, they only care about bottom line. Not whether their cars are in the reach of the average guy. If they were within reach, they'd lose their appeal. How the world works. π
@@KSxPharaoh Let me tell you the MK4, R34, NSX and Supra I have gone to MANY Of car meets and "Cars & Coffee" and have witnessed grown men and children walk smooth pass the Ferrari's and Lambos to see those other cars. Legends are built from the ground up not the other way around. People who have tattooed manufacturers logo's on their skin giving allegiance to manufacturers those guys are the reason why the new NSX were able to bring the car back. Not some rich guy who has to check with his accountant if he can buy it because they are going through a mid life crisis. That's the exact reason why when the first gen new NSX came out in 17 they flopped because the guys who would have continued supporting them couldn't get their hands on it and the people willing to pay $200k for a car wasn't buying an acura, These are facts. These household brands chasing ferrari and Lamborghini prestige needs to understand that they are not those guys and it's ok not to be. That's why the C8 is taking the world by storm and these super expensive cars from everyday manufacture drift off into oblivion. Nobody wants to hear about their friends rich dad cousins uncles best friend talk about the driving experience they couldn't have because they can't afford it. Acura isn't the only brand guilty of this either there are many others manufacturers who did this dumb shit as well.
This facelift works wonders for the car's appeal.

The car isn't meant to compete with the Z06. By that measure the Porsche GT3/RS are all "way too high compared to the Z06". The NSX is very more rare and better looking than the Z. Plus it's hybrid tech.. Corvette isn't there yet. One go up in value; the other, while where my dollars will go, will not increase in value and in fact will depreciate into commoner hands and be seen everywhere.
Iβm loving hearing that indycar in the background gettin started omg. That sound watching this NSX is everything

That is a gorgeous blue color. The 2nd generation NSX has never received the love it deserves. Acura please don't discontinue the NSX. π
Sales are poor that's why they are going to discontinued it.. they should have made it without all those electric motors and lower the price and maybe it would have done better in the sales.
@@civicpride1986 itβs simply to expensive, most people donβt think Acura is a performance brand, itβs not as recognizable as other brands for their super cars, like Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Porsche, OR as inexpensive as C8 Corvette.
Yeah if they could have made it cheaper I think it wouldβve done well, just too expensive for most of the Honda/Acura fans and people with the money would rather get a different exotic
@@civicpride1986 nice looking car but they should have just gone with a mild hybrid V6 or just super charged it and marketed it at $70k starting. these cars are sitting.
Simple formula, make it beautiful, make it light , NA 500hp, or even a screaming v6 turbo with 500hp, make it rear wheel drive, track focused like a type r , offer a GOOD manual, keep the price under 100k.

Both NSXs are my absolute dream cars and I know this didn't get so much love because of the price but at $200k (even the regular NSX went for that much with options) this car offers a lot of tech for the money. A hybrid supercar isn't something you see at this price. Reviewers getting 30-40mpg on a supercar is so awesome. Yeah a Lambo, Audi R8, McLaren get recognition but the NSX is so rare compared to those and people would be amazed to know it's an Acura. Only witnessed 4 in my life and sat in one in a car show haha. Always excited to watch any video about it.
It just lacks heart interior and performance.

People don't hate it, they just weren't in love with it. In the same price range there are a lot more exciting raw cars. The old gen NSX was loved because it was beautiful, simple, and a driver oriented car, and it wasn't the fastest, but still loved. The new car is super expensive, complicated, heavy, while it looks good to most, not regarded as beautiful.

0:52 Right on, brother! The new NSX paved the way for so many other super cars. Itβs amazing that people accept anything from any other car maker, but cry heresy when Acura actually does something revolutionary and technologically advance. Itβs not like Ferrari or anybody else is still making naturally aspirated engines with manual transmissions. Even 911βs have become bloated GTβs.
You really nailed it!
What did acura really do to innovate anything really? Overpriced underperforming car that doesn't even have great performance for the price? Ffs the car got embarrassed by a gt3 rs on a track, even on the nurburgring bruh.
@@Michael-tm6vs how is it underpowered? it does 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds. show me another car within its price point that did that in 2017 when it came out. it keeps up with most newer supercar even now. it has SHAWD which is one of the best handling AWD systems out there. itβs just too heavy and thatβs why it does bad on track. but itβs electrical engineering led to many other manufacturers to do the same. it was the only hybrid supercar when it came out other than the LaFerrari & 918. and it was a fraction of the cost. interior isnβt great and thatβs the one thing. this thing even gets like 40+ mpg with probably the most comfortable suspension system on a supercar.
@@Michael-tm6vs like he said^. It was way ahead of its time. And slow around a track? Itβs quicker than an R8, GTR, and others, and just a couple SECONDS off the pace of others like McLaren. If you judge a car only by how quick it is around a track then youβre overall viewpoint on cars is very skewed. And have you seen an interior if a McLaren, Ford GT, Porsche 911 and others? Theyβre certainly nothing to brag about. Iβve ridden in some of those too, including the NSX!
They donβt understand, real Nsx fans are few in numbers because most of us are really smart, tech savvy, and most of all real drivers. I think the navigation could be upgraded, but who cares when youβre blasting around corners making Paul Walker smile
Bought a 2017 NSX and it has Science of Speed tune, exhaust and spoiler. Supposed to now be over 700hp. Love the car and it does get the looks. Jay Leno was quoted as this is his daily driver and best built car in America.

I would love this with butterfly doors! But looks absolutely stunning none the less
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
These are such great looking cars, and I miss my '17 Nord Gray with Orchid interior. But not too much as I replaced it with a new GT500. The C8 styling looks busy and angular as compared to this, while this looks like pure elegance with a touch of aggressiveness in the front. Totally different look. In addition to the well deserved zonk for lack of ventilated seats, I think it deserved a zonk for the lack of infotainment updates. Those two things were my chief complaint about the car. The audio simply has no bass; its like comparing an Apple HomePod Mini vs the standard HomePod.
Why did I get rid of it? I live in a semi-rural to rural area and medical issues will soon make it difficult for me to drive an hour for me to get this thing serviced. You can't just get the oil changed at your local Honda dealer (no Acura dealer here) as they'll almost certainly get it wrong. It has 7 drain plugs and a pretty involved procedure to get it done, and the dealer back in California mentioned Acura requires specially trained dealer techs to work on the car.
Beautiful design, inside and out, awesome powertrain, the best NSX ever even though they haven't mentioned the real weight. But I must tell you I'll choose the Corvette 2023 with the flat plane crank V8 with 4CAMS and 32 valves reving up its more fun and enjoyable. ππ
