The response to this video has been huge. One of our biggest videos ever. We worked our ass off on these animations. Big shout out to Mike and Eli, our stellar animators. Also big thanks to Curiosity Stream, without them we simple would not have the budget to make something this ambitious. If you liked this video, you will love that Armstrong documentary on CS. It gives me some serious goals to work towards. Packed with information and beautiful story telling.

I was driving down a country back road back to the house from the convenience store, I had my dog with me in the passenger seat, I pulled over on the side of the road when they had confirmation that it had entered Mars' atmosphere. Once tango delta was called out I freaked out and scared my dog lol she didn't know what was going on. A sheriff deputy, who's a family friend, actually stopped and rolled down his window to check on me, I told him I was just an excited nerd and told him about Perseverance making touchdown on Mars, he just laughed and we wished each other a great day and to be safe lol

What will it do? What kind of damage will there be? It would be impressive if it just had paint scratches and dead batteries.

In The Martian (both book and movie) Watney was able to get Pathfinder working with just a power source and a portable heater and I've never seen anyone claim that was unrealistic. I hope by 2050, but I think it's going to be a 100 years before we land on Mars. Working out a redundant system for three hundred thousand different routines is going to take alot of time. There's no hurry to get there. We're at the point in history, I believe, where we get to witness NASA construct a new space station that orbits the moon, and several moon landings. I'm 38 years old. I've never seen a man land on the moon. That's pretty cool.
