EP. 12 When I Walk on a Dark Night Road | SEVENTEEN : HIT THE ROAD

I feel like, ppl think Jun is weird because of the stuff he says and the way he acts. But like Jun said here, he can't express easily or properly what he means in Korean. He even told abt his experience w/ learning w/ Joshua because The8 wasn't there. Look at 2:14. That is why it is hard for him. Yet, he always tries to be direct. He may be a weird little cutie, but he is being raw. He isn't trying to be funny on purpose or act all serious and rigid. He is being himself and showing us directly how he feels. He compares himself to others because he can't be like them. But, that is where Jun stands out because he isn't or doesn't try to be like anyone. He improves himself step by step. He takes in others inputs and knows where his weaknesses are and makes sure to fix them.

ok see the main reason why i love “hit the road” is because we get to see a video on everyone’s individual thoughts and who they truly are. and wen junhui isn’t really thought as an “emotional” member as he shows his bubbly and “child-like” personality more in front of the cameras, so i was extremely happy to see him in this series because i truly wanted to know more about junhui and im glad that this series was able to show it, because there is a lot more to junhui than just a good looking face. he’s thoughtful and selfless and just works so hard and im so proud of him and i hope you all can also see it

It reminds me that some carats ask wonwoo what he would do when Jun is having a childish temper. Wonwoo reply：Jun never lose his temper he is such a gentle person, very gentle and kind.

this episode was very important , i think the fandom never gets enough of Jun not even a bit, he's the one i was most curious about, his character was always blurry besides the little goofy moments he gets on cam that definitely does not define him, i guessed the language is an important factor, i speak multiple languages and yet there is only one i can really express myself in authentically and it's frustrating when I'm not around people who can undrestand,so it makes sense how he remains silent a lot or doesn't really say what he wanted to, however he spoke so well here, he's very observant and appreciative of his surroundings, learns cleverly through it, i guess when minghao said Jun has a careless personality it was about how he's direct with people that comes off inconsiderate i think Jun doesn't get easily sensitive about things and that's how he expects other people to be, but he is very mature and conscious that he corrects himself and is always improving, very beautiful, it was mentioned before that he's not comfortable when being filmed, i guess he feels observed so he feels pressured and it gets hard to act freely and authentically and it might comes off awkward or weird, it was very nice to see him more comfortable here and finally we got a piece of the real Jun, this was a great episode!

Jun could talk about his members for hours without taking a break. The other members always struggle and need time to think, but Jun shots out everything in speed-light. Jun admires and idolizes the other so much and he only sees the positive side of them.
I wish Jun would know how much I admire him. He is so friggin talented and his personality is pure gold. I love Jun just the way he is. He is such a gentle person and he has the most beautiful soul. But I wish he would become more confident and selfish.

People are interpreting Jun's comments about himself as insecurity, but I disagree. I think he just has very high standards for himself. As he said, he's a perfectionist. So even when he does well, he's always aiming to do better. Jun has improved so much year by year in terms of stage presence and dancing because he doesn't settle for less than perfect. I think it's a quality to be admired, so please don't feel sorry for him. Jun fighting!

Each member is special in their own way, hoshi’s confidence, vernon’s easygoing style and seungkwan’s emotions, and I love our moon jun because he is moon jun. His innocent charms offstage yet strong presence when performing (especially his gaze tho) makes up *J U N* and I wouldn’t want anything more. Everyone is talented in their own way and I hope our junhui realizes how precious and skilled he truly is.

junnie feels the need to learn from his members because he doesn't like his own voice, doesn't feel like his dancing is up to his own standards and this makes me feel really sad. Many people think that jun is an overconfident/narcissistic person who rubs his good looks in everyone's faces but he's really just insecure about himself. As he's said, he learned to be confident from hoshi, which also means his perceived confidence is really just an act, a facade, to hide behind, to cover up his low self-esteem. I hope that jun realises that we love him for who he is, wen junhui and moon junhwi, and I hope he realises how much he's grown and developed. I think it's okay to want to emulate others in hopes of improving oneself, I really admire his desire to better himself all the time, but I just hope he realises that he doesn't have to, because he's enough for us. And I hope he'll be enough for himself as well.

For Jun's TMI I would like to write something that is not so funny, many carats do not know about this...
- His little brother wrote a letter for him a few years ago. Jun is his brother's role model, the boy loves him very much.
He wrote about this very hard moment in Jun's life. When he was in high school, he entered a martial arts competition... he was so hard on himself, that in a performance he fell and hit his waist on the ground, the sound was very loud, but he continued. He was badly hurt. He kept the pain to himself for a while because he doesn't like to worry other people, but his case was serious. After a period of time, his muscles began to rot. His family contacted many doctors and they were unable to give a diagnosis. Time passed... the bacteria in his muscles affected his bone area... He had Potts disease (spinal tuberculosis). It was very painful and his physique became smaller, but Jun never cried in front of anyone.
He was in therapy for months, but continued his studies at the same time. Jun is an amazing and courageous person. And a hero to his brother.

- Jun's visuals are extremely unique, androgynous & beautiful. An international brand got interested in him for his strikingly sharp features
. Jun is also called visual miracle in Japan, he is extremely popular & the visual of SVT in Japan. He has very prominent & beautiful moles all over his face. Jun looks like Heechul, but Jun is also known to look like Audrey Hepburn.
- Jun had a hard childhood. His parents divorced when he was 2 years old. His mother got remarried when he was 7 years old. They say that Jun coupled his mother with his current step-father. They met at a filming set & Jun kept asking him to be his father. Jun also acted through his WHOLE childhood. He acted in mutliple movies & dramas. In one of SVT's concert in 2015, Jun sang a solo "Mom" by Ra.D for his mother, for all the pain she went through to protect her only son. His love for his mother is out of this world. Jun's mother said that Jun was very weak as a child that's why she made him do martial art. Jun's little brother wrote a letter about Jun & how much he admires him. In the letter he tells the story about the disease spinal tuberculosis Jun had. It was extremely painful, but Jun never cried & stayed very strong. Jun's little bother said: "Even if the sky fell, my brother would be brave enough to hold it up." The love Jun gave his little brother can be seen very clearly in the letter. In SVT TV Jun played with Samual too, picking him up & giving him rides. Jun loves to play with children, on CYZJ he played with a little girl, he said that he would play like this with his little brother too. The most beautiful thing was when he asked the little girl for permission. He asked her if he can carry her before picking her up. A gentlemen even to little girls.
- Jun is very open minded as well. He is also a big supporter of lgbt, feminism, animals. Jun's very close friends acted in known BL movies & dramas. Jun posted a photo with Hush who is Taiwan's first openly gay singer & said he wants to collab with him. During events, Jun noticed his fansite (girl) looked tired from holding her camera the whole time. Jun always told that she should put the camera down if it's too hard. He told her that it doesn't matter if she takes photos & that she should relax & just enjoy watching. Back then Jun only had 2 fansites.
Jun said many times in interview & on vlive that he wants to have animals, but he can't raise one right now cause he is too busy. He said an animal is like a family, it needs all your love, care & time. He had raised many animals in the past & he respect them alot.
- Jun is a extremey positive person, like hell there is no negativity in his vocabulary. In those 5 years he has NEVER ever talked negative about any members or anything else. He even gets his own milk spilled in oder to protect a member. Even when he has to pick someone regarding a negative aspect he just doesn't pick or pick himself. Even in positive aspect, when Jun picked himself as the visual, answering: "No matter how i answer i'll upset someone so i would just rather pick myself". When members make fun or talk negative about one member, Jun is the only one who comes out saying extremely positive things. Whenever he had to talk about his members, he only showed pure admiration for them. & to be honest he talks more about his members than about himself. He is totally idolizing his members & always looking up to them & seeing only the positive points of them. He always says that he wants to learn from his members. Once he was forced to say something that bothered him about DK, but he couldn't & everyone pressured him & then he said in a tiny voice "if you could keep your volume down sometimes" feeling extremely bad for saying that. Jun & DK were sitting both at each edge. Joshua gave DK a tissue as a joke. DK laughed & then acted like crying. The members said that DK is crying. Jun immediately sprinted to DK, asking worried if he is really crying. Jun is an extremely pure person. Jun is beauty in & out. Jun is the original emotional support K-pop boy for a reason.
- Jun is a strong minded person with a strong body. Jun never gets sick. They once said that "If Jun gets sick too, then it means you guys are really sick"
- Jun is SVT's mother
. He always takes care of the members, he always does so many things a mother does which goes unnoticed. He is cleaning up behind everyone, taking care of his members in so many ways, feeding them, protecting them from things, ALWAYS making sure that no one is left out, leading them to the right spot in games, events & even helps his rivals in games xD
all he wants in life is to help. He is too kind. He always hugs his members when they are getting cold, once Jeonghan, Joshua & Vernon. Jun is always fixing someone's hair, clothes, etc. At the airport a fan kept touching Joshua & the manager told her to stop, but she didn't, afterwards Jun kept back hugging Joshua & walking behind him to protect him.
- Jun is a very wise & deep person, sometimes he says things that blows my mind, he might act childish, but he is so mature. Things like: saying to Yanan that he is more important than the show, making sure he has no regrets & giving up his position so the other can shine, etc
- Jun didn't cried on the concert when he talked about the hardship, he had tears in his eyes. He really tried his best not to cry. Jun hates to show his weak sides. He said that he has his pride. On a concert the members said that Jun NEVER complains, he never talks about his problems & inner thoughts, he always goes along, he always bottles everything up.
- Jun is extremely polite. I would say the most polite member of SVT. He is really the only one who bows to every single person, be it rookies, staff members & that very low. There were so many times idols passed by not bowing to staff, but Jun made sure to bow to very single of them very low. When Jun bows to seniors who are younger than him, he doesn't get a bow back, but Jun still bows. He really pays attention to everyone, not just seniors, but also rookies & staff. For him, everyone is equal. It shows in his personality. He is a social butterfly. He has many friends who are juniors & younger. He isn't someone who tries to be friends with popular artists.
- Jun is a very thankful person, who cherishes every little thing. When they once had to bring something USELESS, everyone brought TOTALLY useless stuff, but Jun, Jun brought a chinese coin which he kept from 2 years ago when he last went to China, he said that some members are learning chinese, so he prepared this to teach them about the chinese culture. He put some thoughts into it, it was meaningful. When Jun was on CYZJ Jun said that it's quite difficult for international fans to cheer on him & The8, but international fans searched everything. He was amazed & so thankful. He made sure to mention international fans & thank them.

hoshi saying "he stands in the middle gound for us.",,, i was shocked by how accurate that statement for jun was and after that i really got emotional by hoshi's way of saying it. he sounded and looked so much grateful and i really get it now. we all know jun isn't able to express himself as efficent as the other members because of the language barrier therefore he isn't always the one that stands out in reality shows or in the content they make but he stands in the middle ground for seventeen, carry them, balance them and for me realizing the other members see and appericiate this is so valuable.language is a barrier for me too and i hope i was able to explain myself. we love you jun. keep makiing yourself happy.

Jun's warmth and love is the most precious thing. His pureness is blinding me. Hands down, the most selfless, purest, caring, gentle and thoughtful member and person. He might be carefree, crazy and weird, but he is extremely observant and thoughtful. Just like Hoshi said, he is a tree, a tree that is shining in the dark. He is super loyal, considerate, generous and self-sacrificing

I agree with many Jun stan that it hurts a lot to see these sides of Jun, cause he is too selfless, he gives up so much for others, he steps back and keeps quiet, he lets other shine when it was his right to shine, he puts others first and doesn't care if he gets hurts. He is someone who burns himself to keep the others warm. It hurts. Add to that there were so much injustice happeneing to Jun over the years which were so unbearable, but he didn't show any pain, it didn't set him back. He kept smiling. Sometimes I hate his smile, cause sometimes I can see the pain in his eyes when he smiles. It hurts to see that he doesn't see his own worth. He is such an amazing singer and dancer. His whole being screams perfection and uniqueness. I want to walk up to the highest place on earth just to scream out to the world how amazing Jun is. I love Jun just the way he is. Man I just love Jun, he is such a kind hearted person. Like 50 % of his documentary was him talking about his members and showing how proud he is of them and how he appreciates them. He's one of the sweetest guys out there... I love you Jun!

i love how juns episode is him talking about what he learned from his members and adoring them. it’s so precious, especially because of his childlike personality it makes it even more adorable. although he couldn’t speak the same language as the other members, he worked so hard and has improved so much not only korean but as an idol as a whole. he really cares about the members so much. i’m really proud of him

Jun's awkwardness is really cute. I'm so happy that he's finally getting out of his shell these days, which means we also get to see more of his quirks. And can I just say, Jun is super attractive these days... From getting a lot of center parts in choreographies, plus being more active and talkative in Going Seventeen

Jun's episode is mostly the interview portion as opposed to the camera following him around because he gets awkward in front of the camera. I find that really endearing.

I hope we have more Jun focused videos in the future. He's overlooked so often, or pushed to the side. In interviews he's always on the edge and since Korean is his second language he doesn't get many chances to speak. And I know the members love him, but it's hard to tell their real relationship with Jun sometimes, so things like this are really important. Jun is such a considerate person and I really relate to him. I wish him so much success and I want him to have everything he wants!

I’m thankful that there are more of Jun’s interview in his episode because we rarely hear him actually say this kind of things to the public and listening to his thoughts now gave me more understanding and made me respect him even more. I hope more people see and appreciate your galaxy. I’ll always be watching and supporting you from afar.

I cant understand why people says Jun`s weird or something, but for me he is the most charming member, really

i think he's really such an amazing person. imagine having a whole career back home but decided to move to a foreign country with language barrier and learning everything from the scratch with zero knowledge in dancing. Since then his dancing skills has keep improving and always slayed his part whenever he was given the center part in svt performance. There is a reason why he was in performance unit. If you watched his moonwalker or wave or limbo performance you will understand why.

All of 13 members, Jun is the most one that I’m curious how about his documentary 😆

I like guys who are straightforward. And yeah, that guy means JUN.

you know, as a korean, i think jun's korean is really good. He only has a few grammar and pronunciation mistakes, his vocabulary is pretty wide and he doesn't have a strong accent. i mean, he wasn't raised in korea, none of his parents know korean, he probably never learned korean before which makes it even more amazing.

i love jun’s character! i feel like he’s the definition of development. the fact that he mentions what he likes about other members, and how he learned that from them is amazing!he’s always wanting to become a better version of himself and i acknowledge that. i’m really glad to see this side of jun!! 🥺

When he said he learns from the members I really felt that because I tend to learn from others too. We can see that he really appreciates his members a lot because he talked about them half the video. Even though he doesn't get that much screen time I feel like when he gets the spotlight he really slays. It must have been so difficult for him to communicate with his members in a foreign country without knowing the language but he always tries his best. He always has a smile on his face. Jun-ah don't think you haven't done enough because you always give your best.

Seventeen's members' colors kind of bleeded a lot more on Jun along the way. He envies them, adores them, learns from them, respects their style and work ethic and develops himself. I can see his change more so now. Fighting Jun!

Just by watching this video we know how much Jun acknowledges the members and it means literally the world to him! He has the purest soul and such a kindhearted man. He DESERVES the world!

I never thought that jun would be this perfectionist so much to the point he will get irritated if he not meet the standard that he wants.
The8 once said that if jun can't meet those standards he will push himself to the point that he can no longer do that and get stressed so much about it. That's why if he sees him like this he calm's jun and help him to reach that.

When he started enumerating the things he liked and learned from the members, I really felt that Junhui is observant and not as carefree as others say. He's thinking of ways to improve himself and as he says, he has a pride that makes him work towards that. I think that's why the members love him. So many things I could say but my point is, Jun is a lovely person and just as he envies some of the members, I also envy his ability to work hard but not get let anything affect him too much. I keep coming back here and keep adoring Jun's personality the most. I realize that all public figure including him don't really show their 100% real personality on cam but one thing that i know for sure is that Jun is a kind and sincere person, he's really gentle and puts another people first before himself. Jun is someone who has rare personality, many people think i'm different from others bcs of my 4D personality so i can relate to him. I always talk bluntly like him but at some point i should handle myself not to talk too bluntly. Jun is someone who is perfectionist, so do i. Jun is someone who doesn't want another people to look down at him, so do i. I can relate to him and i feel like Jun has a lot in his mind, Jun has been suffering a lot bcs he finds it hard to express the way that another ppl can understand. Every time i look at Jun, i fall for him again and again. I hope people can understand him better. And i'm so proud at Seventeen's bond. They really take care of each other so much. I bet if they gave Jun an entire hour for interview he would have just went on and on about the good qualities of his members. Best boy indeed.

At first I thought he was to shy to talk about himself and that's why he brings the member out but now I can understand. Jun is not making a comparison with the members and even he saying does he was jealous of Vernon, I don't think that he meant it. He really, truly appreciate his members so much to the point that he would like to have the skilled of everyone because knows and feels that he needs them. And I think that is the main point 🥺. If you think about it is true. Every skill, charm, characteristic of each member make them Seventeen so I can understand why they say that they feel that's something is missing when is some member sick or injure. I really admire the way Jun speaks, so honestly but always with the kindness he has in his heart. He is so humble, the fact that he learns from his members so much shows it. I think it's very important in any relationship to be able to learn from one another, because that 'admiration' can help you to improve yourself as well.

세븐틴에 제대로 된 관심을 가진지 얼마 안 됐는데 준휘를 볼 때마다 약간 나랑 닮은 느낌을 받아서 자꾸 신경이 쓰였음.. 이걸 보니까 얼마나 노력하고 주변사람들 잘 챙기고 신경 쓰는 애인지 알겠고 괜히 울컥함ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 평소엔 장난도 많고 시끄러운 성격인데도 혹시나 실수할까봐 방송같은데선 일부러 말 수를 줄이고 있는 것 같다고 생각했는데.. 정말 그런 것 같기도 하고 그런 점에서 조심성이랑 신중함이 느껴지네
외적으로나 실력적으로나 충분히 너무 잘난 사람인데 본인을 아주 뽐내려고 하지도 않고 매사에 정말 신중히 행동하는 것 같다.. 항상 자기보다는 다른 사람들에 비중을 맞춰주는 걸 익숙해하는 스타일인 것도 같은데 지금처럼만 잘해주면 돼 준아 사랑해

I think one thing we need to understand is that he isn't degrading himself. He just has a very high standard when it comes to performances. He knows that certain things can be improved and certain things need to stay as it is. I really admire how he is able to see himself in a beautiful light whilst seeing his flaws. I think us fans (me included) always has this idea that idols are perfect. For me , its because i love them so much i tend to not see their flaws but they do. They can see what they need to work on. Jun is someone who dosen't want to dissapoint others. He knows that his members helped him out so much and so , he wants to do the best he can. He is filled with so much energy and passion and love for what he does but he doesn't let that cloud his vision.
