this was discussed in a recent interview with Freddie Roach in Skip and Shannon youtube channel. Roach said Manny wanted to stop the fight after 4th round because of right shoulder pain.

When Pacquiao's team claimed that he had torn rotator cuff coming into the fight, my mind went straight to the moment when Pacquaio exited the bus with his child in one arm and the other raising his hand to the crowd. If he had a serious injury like that, he wouldn't be risking further damage and pain by doing that. That moment is incredibly suspect to me. At the end of the day, respect to both Mayweather and Pacquiao for giving us the fight even if it was later than the fans deserved.

What many saw in this fight is a boxer who excels in running backwards to avoid heavy punches by Manny Pacquiao known as the greatest fighter of all times. They try to make a fighters achievements seem less deserving for no reason what so ever without having any type of real fighting experience especially not at as high a level as these guys. So why speak if you can’t really put yourself in their shoes.
It was a fair comment. Most would agree that Mayweather vs Pacquiao was a huge disappointment. Everyone knew Mayweather has a defensive boxing style and he just did what he always does, but Pacquiao was the one who failed to deliver.

Jimz Yu May After round 9 he started throwing a counter jab and dodging. Manny couldn’t hit him and for the last 3 rounds it was Maywheather counter punching and dipping. That doesn’t mean he was afraid of Manny. He was way ahead on points and probably just didn’t want to risk a knockout.
