Yes it's pretty great! You do feel cared for here, like you don't have to pay for people to care about your health. The only thing that kinda sucks is if it isn't an emergency, your gonna be waiting a bit for a walk in. Like 2 hours or so, but appointments are on time.
Tator Kator in England we have the NHS and while itโs not super fast I got a doctors appointment about a minor issue only a few days after I asked- in a pandemic.

I've heard of a kind of cat food that's supposed to help with that... Idk, it's not a perfect fix, but customers who purchase it from me swear by it so maybe it can help a smidgen? mrp, I just hope everyone feels better!!

In Canada people definitely wait longer for elective and essential procedures but you arenโt turned away at the hospital. Additionally, working class people who donโt qualify for Medicaid or Medicare, but also canโt afford private health insurance donโt have to sell their cars, go into debilitating debt, and start โgofundmesโ when they get cancer simply because they canโt afford private treatment.
As someone from the UK who lives in the US, I actually agree with you. People cannot stand the thought that other countries actually have a good healthcare system figured out. Smh.

I've seen these metabolic changes in many vegans or vegetarians due to a lack of something in their diets. I'm not saying that you don't eat right as a vegetarian or vegan but I've just seen that a lot. Idk. But I think the matter concerns her food for sure

I think cat allergies would impact more skin and at the very least it would be hands and eyes, suggesting you transferred the allergen accidentally. If the allergen were idk letโs say a cleaning product that would make sense but cat fur and dander is EVERYWHERE so my thinking is the reaction would be everywhere too ๐ง

I had a bad allergic reaction to my friend's super sweet cat once and my eyes swelled shut and I was so embarrassed. I think it is good you're able to show people hey, this is happening. Sometimes people have to go to the doctor a million times and they still aren't sure. Wishing you all the best.

Personally, I'm very emotional but I have eczema so I've forced myself to not cry a lot because my face breaks out so awfully. This is so encouraging. I had this happen to me. It lasted about a week and just went away. The skin was messed up for a while, but I could see it was just remnants off the swelling. It just went away. No idea what caused it, but whatever it was, it hasn't happened again. It was horrible, though
Nothing stresses me out more then when a doctor tells me that stress could make my issue worse because then I stress about my stress levels and am already stressed about the issue ๐

I have extremely sensitive skin and iโm super allergic to the vast majority of skin care products so I use the Vanicream products! they are VERY hypoallergenic and contain like 5 ingredients. i know you arenโt supposed to use a cleanser on your face but i know the moisturizer helps cool my skin when it flares up. and i often have a rash around my eyes like that but mine is eyelid dermatitis. i hope you get it figured out soon ๐ฅบ

My mum had a terrible flare up like this, and we ended up finding out it was due to a specific type of pollen found in a tree just outside our back garden
my mom had that when she was younger! turns out she was allergic to the tree outside of her room, and she had specifically picked that room when they moved because she liked the tree in her window lol

I know you are joking but I was seriously thinking the same thing. Oats actually absorb a lot of the chemicals the farmers use when growing them. Maybe Cristine could try the organic kind?

literally everything in 2020 has SUCKED so far.. my eyes also got like this, i started getting pollen allergies and a eczema outburst started in all of my body (last time was ten years ago), me and all of the world lost our jobs due to a fucking pandemic, my best friend's dad got cancer (he's a doctor btw, so karma apparently hit the wrong person), my boyfriends dad almost became blind, my cat died yesterday.. all in these past six months
Not medical advice, just a funny rash story:
My husband had a mysterious horrible rash for 4 years. He saw doctors, had tests, took medications, switched products etc etc. nothing worked and no one could pinpoint what was wrong.
We were joking around and I compared him to the painting 'The Death of Marat' because he was constantly taking baths to alleviate his itching.
I looked up the wiki page to show him the painting and read that Marat was believed to have had Dermatitis Herpetiformis (a super rare gluten sensitivity/autoimmune disorder). I read the symptoms and he literally had every single one.
He started an extreme gluten free diet and his rash went away within a few days and he hasn't had an issue since. I'm still amazed that my teasing lead to a diagnosis, he is just happy his rash is gone.

I'm an American, I get all of my tests, medication and monthly blood drawn, for free, and I have since Birth, you're obviously not asking for help, at least not in the right places. You want government ran healthcare, please go back to Canada. Otherwise the people who get the help they need now, IE me, will have shitty healthcare
Those were my exact thoughts, I'm especially thankful that she lives in Canada after she mentioned all the testing she had thus far and that it'll be a long process with more tests and consultations.

my mom has been a nurse for nearly 35 years, she had a breast cancer scare and it cost nearly 8k to tell her she's fine. southern appalachia has some of the worst healthcare
@@zoebella314 they never said they were from Canada? That's amazing that you're able to get such great help, but maybe try suggesting how they can get similar help instead of being snarky about it. Many people need help and don't get it in the U.S., it is an awful problem. The majority of us currently have extremely shitty healthcare.

@@heybitsme Awful take. It would be the wealthiest paying the vast majority of the taxes. And Canada doesn't have vast waiting lists for most things. Maybe expensive surgeries. But routine doctor visits can be made on the spot and emergency care won't leave you with debt. There's no good reason to oppose universal healthcare. It's all just right-wing talking points.
