This drama really is a ‘healing’ drama. It’s touching me in a way a drama hasn’t in a long time. I mean I CRIED I can’t remember the last time I cried because a drama, a movie or anything like that. We are all fighting a battle we choose not to show, we really don’t what a person went through or is going through by how they present themselves to the outside world.
I need to stay something about this drama as an autistic person myself. An autistic person asks unintentionally a lot of concern which they can't chose. But this also asks a lot from the persons around them since they end up hurting others without their knowing. We sometimes say things that are very devastating towards the people who always look after our because we ourself are vulnerable at that moment. Sometimes we ar so unmanageable that even though others love us so much, they feel lost because of us. They put so much effords in us that they themself reach a point where they lost themselves. This drama shows beautifully how it's also extremely hard for the surrounders of the autistic person who are always with the question in their head wether we'll be able to step into the big world on our own and who scared to let our hand go. I cried a lot, really a lot while watching this because I saw my own situation, I recognized a lot. I just wanted to say with this that it's okay if people need space. "I wish you weren't here." I know that sentence and honestly I can't be mad over it since my family did so much for me and also suffered a lot that its sometimes just too much. The main character wasn't selfish here, nor did he really wanted his brother dead. It's just difficult. I hope every autistic person finds a person like his younger brother here. We are also worthy in this sometimes harsh world. And we are also loved. This drama was really the most touching and personal I ever saw to me.
As a psychology student,I totally can relate to this drama. In fact, lots of people out there still lack of awareness in mental illness. They just can't understand this mental illnesses things and always blame the patients for behaving the way they had to. I'm so glad for choosing psychology, never I thought that choosing this course can open my eyes so wide about the perspective of mental illness. I'm glad that I'm able to help people surrounding me with the knowledge that I've gain in university. Sometimes what they need is an ear to listen to them, just listen and try to feel their story. It'll help them even just a bit.
Kim Soo Hyun can take a break for another 3 years for all I care, as long as it's a really, really good drama like this, even if it's a different concept. I can wait. Quality over Quantity 😊
@@avtanshsingh5105 I clearly said "a really really good drama like this" I was referring to Its Okay To Not Be Okay. It is indeed a masterpiece. Well we don't really see Kim Soo Hyun in small screen as often as other actors. It's okay as long as his dramas are great like the ones he did in previous years, which garnered awards too. 😊
this drama is so good. Everything that happens has a meaning. Everything that they say, how they respond to each other, What they show each other . How they see themselves..Episode 3 was so emotional. The way she got back at him and called him hypocrat. script writeing shows emotions soooo well. i'm in love.
That part and at the end when he asked her if he should just have fun with her was so touching, him seeing himself behaving like the patient being free, saying "look at me".
Seo Yea Ji said in an interview with Kim Soo Hyun that this is a *healing drama* and i cannot *agree* more!!! i cried so hard, like so baaaaad in the last episode aka ep3. the story of the boy with manic disorder was so touching🥺❤ LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMAAAAA~ This OST also touches the highlight of the ep so great!! Kang Tae: "Should i just have fun with you" if you know, u know edit: im so glad many could relate to me, my friends even family did not even shed a tear🤧 ++++ im planning to take psychology in college so this drama really hugs my heart
Agree with you. Crying so hard for cameo scene.. it is realistic scene since it really happens in our society. So far, like two released ost, can't wait the others.

The legend says that whoever watches this drama will never be able to move on from it. They just made a masterpiece that will always carry a broken heart.
Admit it guys, no matter how dark Ms. Seo Ye Ji's character here is she pulls off being a comedian! Like when she mimicked the screaming deer, or when she stucked her tongue out to the nurse's back or when she yelled "do you want to sleep with me!" to Moon Kang Tae etc,I was just about wheezing from laughing so hard. Now I am determined to watch all the shows/dramas she has ever been. Why did it take me so long to notice her? She is absolutely a very good actress. 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜
this drama is not just a love story of two people who are both broken BUT this kdrama is the story of all of us. We are Gang Tae and Mun Yeong at times. We are them in a way that only us will understand. More on feeling sad and always crying because of the scenes, they are teaching us something else. They are making us feel that what we are feeling is valid. It is okay to not be okay at times. We dont have to keep it inside. You are not alone in this world. Someone, somewhere is feeling what you are feeling right now. Hold on to that little hope. You matter. EDIT: Hi, to you who is reading right now I just want to say that I am proud of you for choosing to fight and live everyday. Just keep swimming. If you feel tired, rest. It is okay to breathe, it is okay to feel sad. No one will blame you.
I was just thinking while watching this mv that "people with certain thought process only would be able to understand this drama and its real meaning" and then i came across your comment and it hit so hard. You explained it so well, it was really needed for those who don't understand the feels of this drama and the characters . God bless you my friend.
After watching Ep. 6, I finally get it, what they meant when they said that this drama is all about healing. My heart is just so full last night because of that heartbreaking tears and warm hug. It’s so fulfilling to see a drama that discusses mental health, showcasing the twisted side of fairy tales that we always picture perfectly in our minds (just imagine Juri being the princess and moon young being the witch to highlight their differences according to the perspective of the people around them) How strong people never pretend because they don’t care what others think. That being different among the others is not a mistake. That there’s always a reason why a person acts and thinks the way he or she does. That we are all scarred from our own past. That we regret how we were all hypocrite and coward at one point in our lives. Whenever you feel like crying, dying or maybe you’re feeling just empty, remember that sometimes, It’s Okay to Be Not Okay. Soon you’ll get better because storms dont last. Your mind and heart will be in peace someday. Well, this is Officially the best kdrama of this year, I can say.
When KT was mad at her after what she’s said in the car, and then she started shouting ‘i love you’ to KT, you can clearly see that she doesn’t know what love is at all. She thought by saying that will make KT flutter and come back to her, but KT knows that she’s just bluffing therefore he ignores her. It’s a funny scene and sad at the time because in the end, you can see from MY face that she’s frustrated and sad even though the music was an upbeat one. She is just obsessed with him without having any feelings yet.
“He looked down on me because I cannot understand properly. I mean, I’m also his child” “Do children have to be useful to their parents?” It’s still lingering in my head and it sucks to think that in reality we all are facing this and getting fucked up to think of how we’re not good enough in their eyes when in the end all we want is their warm and their attention to us even a little bit is enough.
Me too I love everything about this drama. Honestly the best drama. Not one episode was ever boring and even the side characters was worth watching and cheering for. I don't know if I'll ever get over this drama. PDnim and script writer thank you.
😪😪😪 this drama is the real deal... I was crying real hard when this man w/ manic disorder went on stage ang spoke abt how he felt towards his father... 😭😭😭 and then this song .... I went searching for this song... so heartbreaking...
It is 2021 now... the world is somewhat better... I watched IOTNBO during major times of quarantine in 2020. It has helped me heal mentally and emotionally. Childhood trauma and how it affects you as an adult... how you try to keep a smile on when everything hurts.
omg me too! Ive watched so many videos related to this kdrama!! I’m scared I won’t have time to watch the future episodes in time, and then see a spoiler on my recommendation 😂😭
this drama really portrays humans well. usually in dramas, they don't show this kind of problem. Usually, something law related. but this drama shows how vulnerable people can be even when they act like they are not.
Obsessed with this drama I finished a couple of months ago like maybe in June and now it’s November 1st and I can’t believe I didn’t watch this before!!!!! Aaaaaaaa daebak!!!!! I rlly love Kim soo hyun he’s my favorite actor I have watched for him all of his dramas!!!!!!!
l rated this drama 10/10 in Google, never done this before. l can cry, laugh, and feel scary at the same time and it just needs 1 episode to feel all of that. Horror scene is really 100% seriously made, it's like you're really watching a horror movie. Both Moon Young and Kang Tae are abandoned children, but Moon Young shows her demon out to survive on her own and she doesn't know she has a good side before she met Kang Tae. Kang Tae has a demon inside, he really wants to explode. But he needs to show his angelic side because he has someone to taking care of and somehow he feels satisfied with what Moon Young did to revenge. And so many good messages inside this drama. WELL DONE. We need more drama with many attitudes, l am ready to replace Itaewon Class on the top of my list for 2019-2020 drama (and l just started to watch Kdrama during quarantine, including Goblin. But Itaewon Class and this drama are on another level)
Some K dramas r way better than Hollywood productions. So happy to see Korea with a soft power like this! Sam Kim is an amazing singer too! Korea fighting!! Greetings from Hong Kong ❤️ ❤
Trust me, It's Okay To Not Be Okay, While You Were Sleeping, Hotel Del Luna, Goblin, Scarlet Heart, and Angel's Last Mission has the bestest OST's in K-Drama History! You definitely has to listen to these! A perfect masterpiece, The storylines are just as good as the Soundtracks! If you haven't watched these perfections, You will regret for the rest of your life! Watch it all right here! Right now!
To be honest, Korean songs sound incredibly meaningful and sympathetic to me even though I don’t learn Korean. This song is such an extraordinary combination of comfort, sadness and happiness. I became emotionally overwhelmed, and my heart was literally broken into pieces and I burst into tears instantly. “Breath” was played when Ko Moon Young was walking under the rain and then Moon Gang Tae came for her and they were staying, hugging each other under the rain. After this scene I suddenly cried like a baby, honestly. Both of them played the characters really beyond perfect. I mean, they may looked strong outside but deep inside they were vulnerable and needed a shoulder to cry on. I love this drama so damn much. This film deserves uncountable outstanding awards for the beautiful messages and stories expressed through the movie. Everything will be okay, I promise. If anything is making you feel exhausted, depressed, remember, after a hard rain, the weather will constantly be sunny. Just like the title, “It’s okay to not be okay’.
Thank you so much for your kind comment😊 We really happy to enjoy this beautiful song with you😘 Hope you will continue to enjoy kdrama and kpop🙏 Thank you~

Especially in Asian countries. These dramas serve an important platform for social issues not being addressed.
shesaidsomething1, I agree with you in Asian culture mental health issues are often not address and are taboo conversations to have.
I'm not okay 😔
i want to take psychology course in college tooo
I highly recommend Doctor Romantic 2 it's also one of the best drama of 2020...
Kim Soo Hyun can take a break for another 3 years for all I care, as long as it's a really, really good drama like this, even if it's a different concept. I can wait. Quality over Quantity 😊
No..This drama is masterpiece. But Kim Soo Hyun should not take break now...

BEST KDRAMA EVER .
UGH, I MISS THIS KINDA VIBE OF KDRAMA🥺✨
this drama is so good. Everything that happens has a meaning. Everything that they say, how they respond to each other, What they show each other . How they see themselves..Episode 3 was so emotional. The way she got back at him and called him hypocrat. script writeing shows emotions soooo well. i'm in love.
is so emotionally powerful..I already cried a looot for only 3eps .
That part and at the end when he asked her if he should just have fun with her was so touching, him seeing himself behaving like the patient being free, saying "look at me".
Agreed! I really hope that this drama continues to do well and wins drama of the year for the next drama award cycle.
which one is it ? the act at the end ?
Is this Drama worth watching?
Seo Yea Ji said in an interview with Kim Soo Hyun that this is a *healing drama*
and i cannot *agree* more!!!
i cried so hard, like so baaaaad in the last episode aka ep3. the story of the boy with manic disorder was so touching🥺❤
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMAAAAA~
This OST also touches the highlight of the ep so great!!
Kang Tae: "Should i just have fun with you"
if you know, u know
edit: im so glad many could relate to me, my friends even family did not even shed a tear🤧
++++ im planning to take psychology in college so this drama really hugs my heart
Agree with you. Crying so hard for cameo scene.. it is realistic scene since it really happens in our society. So far, like two released ost, can't wait the others.
Yes yes, omg. His story was definitely gripping especially seeing him liberate from the oppression of his own dad. I cried and laughed so much in ep 3🥺
I also cried when he expressed his feelings 😭😭😭
ikrrr i was bawling my eyes out when he started to talk about his feelings in front of everyone, i felt so sorry for him. kwak dong yeon acting is so excellent i love him😭💖

Ys, you should watch Save Me and Lawless Lawyer, and even in Moorim School
Seo ye ji
She's in hwarang also
Love her since i saw her drama fr day one. Cool and adorable artist. ❤️❤️❤️
HAHAHA that's my favorite scene ever (screaming like a deer). Until now I can't seem to stop laughing every time I watch it.
You breathe inside me
With a sigh of longing
And make my heart flutters❤
I miss them ... #2024
Kim soo hyun & Seo ye ji ❤
this drama is not just a love story of two people who are both broken BUT this kdrama is the story of all of us.
Dang your comment made me cry :(( i'm not feeling emotionally well lately but yea i guess i'm not alone We all had empty sides..

I miss this drama so much😭
After watching Ep.
Cant agree more
True😊
this was so deep 😭
😢👏👏👏👏
God why am I tearing up reading this😭❤
When KT was mad at her after what she’s said in the car, and then she started shouting ‘i love you’ to KT, you can clearly see that she doesn’t know what love is at all.
Yeah, she just wanted to get a reaction and manipulate him at that time.
I need song on spotify!!!
kangen bgtt nonton ongoing ni drama
“He looked down on me because I cannot understand properly. I mean, I’m also his child”
“Do children have to be useful to their parents?”
It’s still lingering in my head and it sucks to think that in reality we all are facing this and getting fucked up to think of how we’re not good enough in their eyes when in the end all we want is their warm and their attention to us even a little bit is enough.
I STILL CAN’T MOVE ON. THIS DRAMA IS TRULY THE BEST! AND NOW THEY JUST WON THIER ACTING AWARDS AND I PRAY THERE’S MORE.

I like the fact that this drama doesn't have tons of characters and no evil envious girl. It's straight to the point and focuses on real life issues.
Who is watching ost,episode,clips,interview.. i mean everything related to this drama. I can't wait for next episode. This is just healing..

this drama really portrays humans well. usually in dramas, they don't show this kind of problem. Usually, something law related. but this drama shows how vulnerable people can be even when they act like they are not.
This song is very touch my heart.

SAMEE
same energy :')
l rated this drama 10/10 in Google, never done this before. l can cry, laugh, and feel scary at the same time and it just needs 1 episode to feel all of that. But Itaewon Class and this drama are on another level)
main reason why Kim Seohyun is the highest paid actor..he choses his drama and character wisely
Some K dramas r way better than Hollywood productions.
So happy to see Korea with a soft power like this! Sam Kim is an amazing singer too!

Just like the title, “It’s okay to not be okay’.
damn samee! literally bursted out tears whenever breath starts playing
