Hey Freddy, (This is Zlatko lol) It was a pleasure rallying with you guys. That Tire was a pain in the butt to find!
My co-driver John and one of the Dustball photographers (Jerry) drove to about 4 different tire shops with none of them having anything in stock. The Tire shop in Santa Fe only had one left, not even a pair to match, so we snatched it up right then and there to make sure you guys could stay in the game!
Apparently, his car doesn't like matched tires anyway :)
@@PaoloMaker I felt so bad about that 🤣, I wanted to make sure that they had PS4s but the Rally was starting the next day and they were quoting "We can have it by Friday".

I respect the hell out of the build and the car wish I could see it in person some day. Plus in racing you show no sign of giving up and massive professionalism which is what the guys who helped you out did, this is truly what the sport is all about the memories, people, and the friends you make in the process.

The lesson here is always use metal valve stems, it's required by NHRA rules if you run over a 10 second pass, but it's also just a good preventative.

I am watching this and everyone of the series seems so genuinely nice no attitudes or fake representations of what things are such as endless budgets and manufactured drama. I want to build a tuner car one day I know nothing about it so this giving some really good ideas knowing that it can be done staying with the basics and still get performance. Granted I do know these guys are skilled experts.

Worked in a tire shop for 2 years, first thing we did was replace the valve stem... unless it had steel stems or TPS.

@@tavarish I wasn't looking forward to this video trust me. A 3000 mile journey and something happens to the car (even it not being mechanical) in the middle of nowhere is still pretty upsetting. Glad it didn't cause any additional problems like ripped away at the body.
