I'm surprised they let animals like them out in the winter.
You’d be surprised how much heat elephants produce in their bodies. Also, this is a form of enrichment for them and they give the elephants the option to go back inside their heated barn at any time.

I am sad to see elephants in captivity….. no matter where in the world.
Why? So they can go back to Africa or India and have their tusks cut off? Or have their foot cut off and turned into a trash can? These elephants are well cared for and are adored by millions. The Cincinnati zoo is not a circus.
