Can we just think about the massive amount of work MatPat did for this and the first episode of this video? He would have had to watch all the Pokemon episodes AND analyse them to find the little details that indicate towards what season it is and not to mention the additional research he did on the Japanese cities that the Pokemon regions are based on. I've seen this theory! I don't know how much evidence their is for it but I've seen people posit that the people in pokemon "evolve" from baby to young kid to older kid/middle schooler to high schooler to adult to elder. A lot more stages than pokemon but hey. Also kind of fits with the earlier video where humans shared ancestry with pokemon? I'd be interested to see if there was enough basis for them to do a video on it at some point.
I also thought that the Pokémon world is completely different from ours, time works differently, let's say a year is over 1,000 day while still keeping the same rate of aging, thus ash could be much younger then he is in this theroy

I think conditions that prevent/slow physical aging don't affect mental age. So would have to have both.

Ya know, if they had kept Ash’s age like you calculated, they could have had a good opportunity of making him more of a mentor figure for the other 10 year old trainers who are following him anyway
That would have worked waaayyy better. They could've made him also, a big brother who is about to graduate, type in his teeenage - young adulthood (15-19 years). To ease the transition. It would be like we are watching him grow up, and it is a bit of a present to all the viewers who watched pokemon, and played the games since they were little. I really like your idea, and it is better than having him restart to the age of 10 with 20 years of memories and experience.

Like, he's hunting down videos that ONLY AIRED ON JAPANESE AIRLINES, and figuring out the ripest times for fruits, and watching EVERY VIDEO to see the deerlings, and hunting down EVERY MENTION of a seasonal festival or event, and looking at WEATHER PATTERNS. Like, the DEDICATION is astounding. Keep doing what you're doing, know that we all know and appreciate the hard work you do :)

I'm honestly shocked that the anime has such a consistent progression of seasons that MatPat can actually follow the day/night cycle and seasonal produce. I feel like most shows wouldn't even get the Deerling formes right.
And yes, obviously the canon age means that Ash has indeed remained 10 years old for 10 years and counting.

I think the Sun and Moon Ash is actually a Ditto that has been creeping on them the entire time, and takes over Ash's life in a 10 year old form.
Wouldn't be too surprising, as there was a scenario that was played out that way in the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games. The police pretty much asks for your help to find them all, and catch them so they can stop taking over spots from other people they are impersonating.

Ho-Oh is said to grant you happiness if you ever run into one in the wild; when Ash first saw Ho-Oh, it was glowing gold rather than displaying it's usual rainbow plumage. Therein, Ash's wish to have an eternal adventure was granted by Ho-Oh (As, at the time, that's like the only thing that would've made him happy).
But do the others age or not?

My one complaint for this theory is MatPat just disregarding the explicit message from the Pokémon Company that Sun & Moon doesn't follow X & Y. I understand the desire to keep things in a single canon, but there are other explanations that allow for the creator's statement to be true, such as multiple canons. The scenes with Brock and Misty's flashbacks are just reintroducing those events to the new canon. At a glance, it seems like Sun & Moon is intended to follow Johto Journey's.
If you look at ashes self in the first episode of Journeys that pretty much contradict the entire statement

Actually, taking this into consideration, Ash would have to be 1,020 years old, having seen Jirachi twice on different occasions. Once in “Jirachi Wish Maker” and once in Season 16 Episode 35 “Searching for a Wish.” The Pokédex even days that Jirachi only comes once every thousand years.

Animal Kingdom No I mean 1,020. If you saw Jirachi once at 10 years old, then you would see him again 1,000 years later at 1,010 years old. If anything I think he’d actually be whatever age he was at in Jrachi Wish Maker plus 1000 plus the age difference between the Best Wishes arc of BW and the current time. So 1,016 probably.

A Possible Theory : Dialga, the god of time got badly injured in one of it's battles with Palkia. This lead to time behaving oddly in the Pokemon Universe and might be the reason why people never age. Also this might've happened after Ash crossed 10 years so Ash isn't aging.

I haven't watch the Sinnoh series, so I couldn't say for certain. However, I wanted to add that it snows in and around snowpoint city (according the games, and I know that we aren't talking about the games, but I think it's an important point) because of the snow blowing down from the mountain. Bulbapedia states: "Snowpoint City (Japanese: キッサキシティ Kissaki City) is a snow-covered city located at the far north of Sinnoh, where snow blows down from the top of Mt. Coronet causing low temperatures." So to assume winter and jumping from summer to the summer might be adding an entire year to the sinnoh arc without it being there.
