I PREPOSE A THEORY: the minecraft overworld is round yes, but its like penrose stairs, its only infinite because it wraps around itself in a way thats so simple yet so complicated that its essentially a fractal and the the penrose staircase.

yup.. was thinking the same thing.. can't have day/night cycles with the "rope theory" as you always face the same direction.
Unless you have like a half sun, sun on one side, solid rock on the other one.
The other problem of the “flat planet swinging in a circle” is that it would ALWAYS face the sun, which it doesn’t, and if it did, the sun would set everything on fire, because it is an always on super heat lamp
This assumes it orbits the Sun like our planet when we have no conclusive proof to that effect.
Regardless of even that fact the “core” of the planet would be a completely unstable sphere within a slab of rock

Now, I'm not a minecraft flat earther, but I just had a thought that (might?) make this possible.
A few things we know:
1. The cause of the centrifugal force, the thing swinging it, is not the sun.
2. There is a ceiling of sorts to the minecraft sky, at one point it doesn't let you fly any higher.
I think, if minecraft was flat, then it would be inside a huge sphere, with screens on it that project the illusion of a sky. Inside the sphere, there are two light sources, the sun and moon. The disc of the planet would be spinning on one axis inside the sphere, meanwhile the sphere is what is being swung around by whatever celestial object. This means the planet wouldn't have to travel around the counterweight object in only 20 minutes - it could take ages, and be on a really long tether. I think this fixes some problems. No luminosity issues, gravity problems, nothing with the speed of rotation, and you don't have to stick a tether to a star. I could be completely wrong though, I haven't learn this sort of physics yet so really I'm guessing.
Just to reiterate, though. NOT a minecraft flat earther, at least in the main game...
I'm am one for Minecraft Earth (the AR game) though ;)

Biggest problem: if the Minecraft ‘disk’ was attached to a rope and facing the sun, there would be no night cuz the sun would ALWAYS be on the world.

1st thought, makes me question if he looked at his own example on screen while explaining centrifugal force, or was going down a check list. Didnt even have to go to all the trouble, but hates Flat Earthers so much, he needed to use math. Math which often involves numbers so big it is meaningless to most people anyways.
Math is still important to everyday life regardless.

meanwhile on a server i play on. the world is claimed to be an artificially constructed ring with us on the inside. hostile mobs and humans (the server was from 1.8 and has no villagers or nether) are all part of an army created by unknown beings. all we know is that the end was somewhat of a control system for the creation of this army, but then the ender dragon showed up, removed that civilization, and took control of the system, using the center as a nest, causing the less sentient army parts to be under its control, while humans were meant to be closer to officers, and had enough sentience to not be under its control. the mobs are hostile because the dragon wants to hunt us down because we do not obey. the dragon was killed by four friends, but three of them died. this ended all hostile mob spawns, ending the First Age of Darkness. however, much later, an insane duke from the kingdom that last friend, Lanner, established, (Lanier) decided to bring back the dragon, managed to create monster spawner missiles, took over the flagship of the Lanieran Navy (Royal Navy) and used it as a distraction to keep the Royal Navy away from the palace, where he stole the dragon egg and resurrected the dragon, starting the Second Age of Darkness, within which the server occurs. the server started in like 2013, but the first server had problems, so a new server started, which is like 6 years old as of now.

The world doesn't wrap around in any way, though. Maybe past the world border, it wraps around like a torus. Seeing you prove Minecraft being a torus would be really cool and would probably solve much more.
The only sticking point a Flat World Mincraft has is this: You travel in a straight line for millions of blocks.. do you ever return to where you originally started your journey? No.. A round world would eventually get you back to your starting point, but in Minecraft you just keep going until you hit the border wall
PLUS: If a "flat earth" spinned like that there wouldn't be day-night cycle.
Yeah, i noticed that too. The planet would be constantly facing the sun. The only way it would be possible is if the planet orbited around a point, the sun was a few million metres in one direction and the moon would be a couple thousand the other, which...wait

It's literally just: "This Equation equals this thing. Get the numbers that are the things inside the equation - as in, don't put a length into a speed, and just put speeds into speeds, and so on -, and then, well, use those as the equation. Then use basic algebra to find the x".

The spin of the Minecraft world could move back and forward as well as going around
This would crate an unstable spin that would miss up however as long as the moon has its own pull it could let you spin around that (almost like a link or bound because of the corners)

I don't support flat Earth but these calculations were spacifically designed for minecraft and it's day night cycle. Of course Earth is round but im guessing you would have to use a fresh sheet if data catered to Earth's day night cycle to do i)(and gravity, and everything really) (warning: I don't know much and this could all be incorrect)

Yeah, that was my first thought as soon as he mentioned orbiting the light source. Not just day/night, too, but sunsets, where the sun slowly sinks toward the horizon and rises on the other side.
Instead, the world must rotate around some point, and the sun and moon must orbit around it roughly perpendicular to that axis.

This is an actual glitch in minecraft bedrock edition. If you go 2040 something blocks away from spawn and walk in between two blocks you will fall through the ground and to the void. Note: the further you go from spawn the easier it is. At a certain point you can so go far away that you will fall through the ground no matter what.
