Hawk Pants hell, I’d be annoyed too. Imagine being one of those actors, trying to move on with your career, and every time you get a part people say, hey it’s Chandler! or hey it’s Ross! I mean that is the downside of getting a huge role. Because every actor knows after a huge role your career pretty much already hit its peak. Your career is on the down hill slide (well, most of the time.) Unless of course you’re Jennifer Aniston.

Actually Jennifers career went downhill also, its just that she kept working, her and Perry. She never became a Hollywood star, none of her movies were spectacular, I would say Perry did better movies than her. But she did a lot of them, stayed in the picture. She stayed good looking, stayed in shape, and stayed famous. If she hadn't did friends, none of her movies would have made her a household name. And Matt only took a 5 year break, it isn't like he disappeared for 20 years. Then he started with Episodes, Top gear, etc.

When Mathew Perry said he actually remembered that episode, I genuinely felt bad for him cause he really can't remember shooting many seasons of friends because of his drug abuse.
That's true! I remember watching him in an interview about how he couldn't really remember years 96-'02 because he was always high on pain killers.
Woah, that's sad but I hope he's now recovered from that. I think I read somewhere that he tried to stop and relapsed? But I'm not sure.

How...just HOW is it possible to have never seen an episode of FRIENDS?!
She purposely avoided it because she couldn't stand one of its writers. I can relate; I'm not one for trying to convince other people to do it too, but I've stubbornly boycotted several franchises simply because the "service" I experienced from them was appalling. I realize that it can't mean every single employee of that corporation is just as awful as the ones I had to deal with, but I just can't help it, I want NOTHING whatsoever to do with the lot of them.
You can see she knows boycotting the whole show on account of that one writer was irrational, by her apologetic look at Matthew when she admits she's never seen a single episode, but it would have felt wrong to her, and if anything, you gotta be true to your conscience. Not that there's anything wrong with "Friends," or to imply that people shouldn't watch it (I'm a fan, myself), but I get where she's coming from, when no matter how popular some product is, you just can't bring yourself to buy it, purely because of a bad experience you had with the company that manufactures it.

Until I decided to give it a try on Netflix and ended up watching all the episodes last year, I had never seen a single episode of Friends. I had heard about the show but didn't even know it was a sitcom.
TheGrandmaDeath My best friend (who I met a few years ago as a freshman in college) had never seen an episode of Friends. She had NO idea any of the relationships/stories of the series. Finally, senior year, I convinced her to watch a few episodes with me on Netflix.
She watched all ten seasons within a month following.
TheGrandmaDeath why would it be impossible? There are a lot of stuff on tv past or present that are way better than friends.

I don't think so. I think everyone except Matthew Perry enjoys talking about the show. It's just that Matt Leblanc has a very cherry and upbeat personality as opposed to rest of them. Matthew Perry, may his soul rest in peace, obviously felt uncomfortable recalling the days when his addiction had reached its peak. His worst and best days overlapped. On one hand, he survived for so long because of FRIENDS but, on the other hand, this show would always remain somewhat tainted by his struggle with addiction.

You know these guys have got to hate that they can't ever outlive that show but it's so fantastic how they each roll with it and understand that they are carrying on a legacy for those of us who were obsessed with the show and will forever see them as Rachel, Joey and Chandler.
