I lost my mom when i was 18, she died in a car wreck a month after i graduated high school, my sister died from a blood clot three weeks after having her third
child, two friends (both brothers), committed suicide, i found my dad lying in the hallway at home, he died from a bleeding ulcer, all the people i truly loved are all gone, i never felt so alone and lost, now i have a new family, believers in Christ, more brothers and sisters who care about me, helped heal the lonliness with the love of Christ.

the nostalgia... this came out when i was 19 and it was an amazing summer that year, now with 28 i hope everyone who felt the same as me back then is doing well!
dang man. this is the worship music that i grew up listening to. Coming back to hear this song after all these years just brings back so many memories from camp and youth and all that. As I’m getting older, it’s just crazy to think about how simple life was. it’s also really sad for me. I wish i can go back to these times with all my old church friends worshipping God with this sick music. I do miss those days. But I know that God has a plan for us, and it’s way better than any of us can ever dream of.

This song is so annoying, because it is the same 4 chords in the same progression from beginning to end. Just no talent or ability. Everytime I felt alone, betrayed, depressed and stressed out, I always end up listening to this songs and my tears came out. I was struggling so hard, I lived life broken, mute, hiding my feelings but today, God reached out to me, he told me by sending a message to a teacher from a Christian camp of 2018, a message that I need help. this past week, I got so sad to the point I was thinking about self harm, I stopped caring about myself, worst of all, I stopped caring about others. I couldnt feel much emotion other than hate and sadness, I prayed, with the little emotion i had, for him to help me, help me not lose hope, help me not lose my emotions towards others. i thought I lost hope until when my teacher texted me saying she was praying last night and saw me. i finally realised, it wasnt God who had left me, it was me who had left him. I want everyone to know, he was always there, always will be. we just have to open our hearts and let him in instead of listening to the knocks. hes always waiting and always will. I hope anyone who read this find God and never lose hope ❤
