Rainn Wilson is so underrated. He made this character, who is essentially unlikeable, and sort of.. forced you to love (well, maybe just like) him. Like it or not, by the end, you can't help but identify with him on some level. Sure he's aweful, but he's the realest person in the office. Dwight is a what you see is what you get guy. Grudgingly respect him for sticking to his wierd moral code.

Dwight Schrute deserves his own show. What a great character he turned out to be in The Office !!!and to think that Seth Rogen had auditioned for the role. He would've been disastrous.
The farm got bad reviews.
They actually considered having a spin-off show, but if I remembered correctly, they thought it would have been unnecessary.

The Sun I don't know, I think it's best that they didn't. Dwight as a character works well because he and the other characters serve as foils for one another. Either Dwight messes with them or they mess with Dwight. An entire show with "Dwight-like" characters all interacting with each other would get real old real quick.

Love these lines because it almost seems like the last episode is a call back to this. Dwight becomes manager, then becomes best friends with Jim or “falling in love” with him if you will.

while i did miss their old bond them going through so much drama after season 5 together especially in late season 7 after dwight has lost it all love and his dream job and the mike dwight are having their worst fallout ever really made that letter moment stand out..to me its the best moment of that episode..rainn reading it is perfect acting...it hit me more then the other stuff....the way michael's talking head on oscar makes me laugh so hard to this day...that was the funniest moment of the series imo....its so unexpected
