That moment when Jim finally asked Pam out was the best. Not overdramatical, nor overacted, just pure heartfelt emotion. Krasinski and Fischer are such great actors!
Her emotional reaction, even her joy radiating through her eyes (which look like she has been crying for at least an hour)...THAT is 100% how that moment feels.
It did for me and it brought me right back to the moment my husband officially went from "friend" to taking the leap of faith and asking me for more than that.

Marriage/relationships are not all gumdrops and lollipops because they can be rough and you both have to give it your 100% best. Getting into a marriage especially does not mean that you get a divorce because they "change". No honey, no darlin', you married that soul. You married that fellow human being. You fight to stay together. They are not accessories that go in and out of fashion or even something for you to grow past a stage a life and "develop a different taste". Some people are so arrogant that I am not sure if they are aware of it, and/or ignorant (however you culturally interpret that word lol), or dumbasses, OR just plain selfish evil lowest common denominators anymore covering themselves with the latest highlighter and contrasting it with bronzer! Oh don't forget to prime first because we can't show any wrinkles!

The way Fischer blushed after Jim said its a date is just so natural.. She must literally be overjoyed in real and maybe that brought the natural blush to her face.
This was so beautiful. I keep rewatching it.
The reason why it was the best moment in the office is that we were waiting for it for about 3 seasons and when it finally happened everyone's heart started beating faster.

one of the greatests hahaha
People hated Robert California however I think that dinner scene is one of the most emblematic and reflective pieces of art for the contemporary american. Robert was unsettling to people because of the command he has and the confidence he delivers, imo he's a leader and a strong person, he's the same person as Dwight only more potent and concentrated. The lunch scene where they discuss sesame street and Robert had a brilliant line where he says: "sesame was made to reflect the children watching it and the obsession with Elmo is perfectly representative of (something), ours is a cultural ghetto..." And everyone including Jim is perplexed and doesn't understand. Jim was meant to represent and relate with the average American and Jim not understanding what Robert is trying to say, trying to speak in higher order thinking and all the office just doesn't get it but they pretend to. I already love James spader as an actor but this character is one of my favorites because of how accurate the real life commentary is, not to mention how eccentric he is.
@@MrCTruck people hate his character because he tries (and usually succeeds) in socially dominating others. No one likes that. People enjoy interacting with others they can relate to and connect with, not those who try to be above them on an arbitrary social hierarchy.
That being said, he played his character BRILLIANTLY. I've met people like that, and he captures that essence perfectly and really makes the audience feel unnerved.

The Robert California one is iconic. His sex speech has so much truth in it when you actually think about it
How even?
@@thedubstepdoge you don't work in sales do you
TheDubstepDoge think about every single societal norm out there, every corporation, every idea, every law, and every piece of technology out there or medicine. Who created that? Human beings. But what created the human being? Sex. Sex created you, sex created me. Without sex, we wouldn’t have existed to create things like Facebook , idiotic societal norms like having romantic relationships with one another, or iPhones and vaccines. My point is, sex keeps the world going. Sex, is THE ONLY THING that is real and natural and perfect in the world, NOT laws, corporations, hope for finding a romantic partner, vaccines, or technologies. Just sex. Everything, is sex.
The reason why his sex speech hit home so much for me is because this is literally the way I view life anyway, but when I heard him give his sex speech during his interview, it basically fine tuned it for me.
