Rams should’ve never paid Gurley. Not because of the knee issues we know now, but because RB’s are the least valued position in football. The majority of teams that win Super Bowls and go deep into the playoffs, have a runningGAME not a runningBACK. Money at the RB position should be spread out, amongst multiple backs, not invested into a lone player. Running backs truly have become dime a dozen, don’t believe me, just look at the 2017 Draft RB Class.

Here's the difference between the Rams and the Chiefs, Chiefs won a superbowl, Rams lost. Brett Veach is good a drafting, not saying the Rams aren't, but with Veach's history, he can pretty much replace at least 50% of what he loses to FA. Chiefs, AS OF RIGHT NOW, don't have many terrible contracts, along with young players like Thornhill, Fenton, Hardman, Rankin, Ward, who all at least have potential to be impact players for another 3-4 years before they're paid. I must admit they won't be able to keep everybody. I think max they keep 2 out of the group of Kelce, Hill, Mathieu, Jones, Watkins, not putting Mahomes cause everybody knows they'll pay him. What I'm saying though is that right now the Chiefs are in a WAY better position than the Rams were, not to mention Chiefs haven't traded a bunch of draft capital for other like Rams did with Talib, Cooks, Peters, Ramsay, Fowler, well you get the point. The Chiefs of 2025 will look much different, but with Veach's history, it seems like they will still be near the top.
