@@colbythedell2749 Jamie Collins takes plays off. The lack of interest and effort looked bad on TV but really stuck out in person. Dude got paid and became lazy on the field instead of pursuing greatness like a Drew Brees or a Charles Woodson or a Rod Woodson did.

Ok addressing everyone who thinks that this is the right thing to do. If you watch football you understand you need practice for chemistry, so save that rebuttal, but players of Toms caliber shouldn’t be sending out the message that personal growth is more important than public health.
There is no guarantee that there will be a season and key players need to send out messaging that supports precautionary actions to ensure that.
Anyone have a good rebuttal, I’m having a hard time seeing it any way other than this.
I get that. I Think the only rebuttal I would have is nobody is obligated to be a role model for other people. And to put that responsibility on him is kind of silly. I don't know i feel about all of it but you asked to se e it in a different light.
Pretty sure Russell and Decaf are in Arizona, due to the presence of palm trees and at least one saguaro cactus. Not a good place to be right now, unless they're very isolated on the field and wherever they're staying. Same with Brady and his boys in Florida. This crap is real and just because they're elite athletes doesn't mean they're invincible.
Whether Russell Wilson plays baseball this year as well as football or not, all I know is that Pete Carroll is a legend.

Sacrifices are needed in order to be the best. These guys know that. Russ work attitude and hustle is what makes him great. He puts a lot of work on his game. Tom is the same. These guys are definitely winners and its great to see them accomplish so much yet they still look so hungry. You can see who actually cares about getting better when you see vids like these. Even Metcalf, it is said he leaves practice well after everyone is gone. Fixing his mistakes and making sure he doesn't repeat them. That is a rookie now sophomore. I can't even imagine how great he will be next year. I think he will break out and go for more than 1,000 catching yards. Go Hawks!

In my state thousands of people crowded the beaches, restaurants, downtown areas, bars, golf courses and gyms. Who is upset that two people are playing catch in a giant field?
Or they could just run the season, communicate the measures that they’re taking to keep people safe, & let fans vote with tickets sales whether they want to go. Likewise, if players and personnel don’t want to participate because of personal COVID concerns, don’t make them. Easier said than done, I know, but make the individuals responsible for their own decisions and stop worrying about the politics and who’s going to be offended. And if Wiz Khalifa is going to be a child and make threats to stomp off, let him.
Its not as simple as that. As the mlb has shown, ur forgetting abt money-the league has to manage whether or not grievances coming from allowing fans that contract it, loss of money if they choose to limit fans, etc.
You also forget that if people go and get infected, they will probably infect others that had nothing to do with the event. The whole thing about letting people do what they want tends to leave out a lot of people farther down the chain

You guys will be watching Australian Football soon cause the latest rises in CCP Virus cases are going to stop any crowd gatherings in CA. FL, TX, AZ, and many of the players are going to question the health risks - do they want to play in a shortened season and jeopardise their future career or wait one season then play for 5-10 years. Remember, you may be young and fit but if you are hospitalised, one symptom is lung scarring, which would make it hard to play when you recover.
