- Hey there, this is a brief comparison of Firefighters in The Sims PC games, I thought I wouldn't make this video and when I did I thought it'd be 3 minutes long, guess there's way more to firefighters than I ever thought.
Like maids, they're fairly similar but there's little details all over which distinguish them, they're a very basic NPC and it's just odd that they've been missing from Sims 4 until a few months ago, I didn't put too much emphasis on that in this video because, just like toddlers, as time passes it matters less when they were added, and I think at this point is hard for people to forget this fact lol
This is the part where I give you my opinion but I think we all know the winner here, it's hard for a bunch of NPC's to compete against a full profession, but hey, I thought it was interesting, it's the last place that I'm not sure of. What do you think? - 게임

The Stylist career is interactive too and super fun :D also the Investigator career :D

It seems to be bugged in my game. Whenever my sim is at work it says there's a fire in town but my sim can never do the job.
I miss the time when you didn't need to wait for around 6 years for a firefighter to be included in the game and finally put out your fire. Also, a great comparison video as always! Sims 3 killed it with the firefighter profession

yes but the fire is much inferior compared to the sims 1, it don't do much damage =/ meaning even if the firefighters don't come and you do nothing it get out in itself.... in other words this more time it take don't really matter with is sad really, i wish the fires was more dangerous like sims 1.

Every time I've tried that career in Ambitions it glitches out and doesn't work. Never had an earthquake either, didn't know it was a thing.
@@animeangel1983 routing issues, just move the lot somewhere else or level up using cheats, the glitch is only with small fires

I didn’t even notice that until my sims died and I’m like where tf are the firefighters. Death showed up before my sims even finished dying 😭😂

I made an added sim to the house in my sims file yesterday and when I was done there was a fire literally 5 secs when she was cooking on the grill.
It's called pausing the game >.> I mean, is this a foreign concept to people? LOL.

One thing I definitely remember from the sims 3 is how sims who have the brave trait will immediately start extinguishing the fire rather than panic.
In TS4 we have the confident trait which is similar
in Sims2 if you read fire safety book the Sim will tackle the fire instead of freaking out

In Sims 4 too! My Sims always extinguish the fire before the firefighters and when they arrive they always have to charge me a fine because there's no fire anymore
@@ramiromunoz1161 Ah ok... From my experience, I’ve only ever had one sim that’s immediately extinguished a fire straight away. All the others panic and run away 😅
I hate how the sims (in sims 4) just freak out and stand near the fire instead of getting out. It’s like do you WANT to DIE.

In sims 2, if there's a toddler in the room that is on fire, the maid will run in can carry the baby outside the house.
most adult sims would do that in fact, not only the maid
I’ve seen adults automatically pick up and run their newborns outside of the house during a fire, even if they’re not in the same room as the fire.

I had no idea there was a difference in time between civilians and firefighters putting out fires. 🤣 My Sims usually try to play hero and end up burning to a crisp before they arrive. Now it makes sense.

It always looked obvious to me since I was a kid during the days of fireworks indoors in Sims 1.
A firefighter who extinguishes faster is like a chef who cooks faster.
Meanwhile my sims just get fined for putting out the fires before the firefighters arrived.
@@TheRedPlumbob In the first game, if you pause the game as soon as the fire shows up (before it gets big) and then you click away the sim's "panic" reaction and choose "extinguish" before restarting the game, they'll most likely get it before it spreads anywhere.

"Building disaster"
Recently my brother started to play Sims 3 again and he was almost becoming the emperor rank of criminal career. So his Sims was on rank 8 or 9 and his criminal career building got a meteor fell on it and exploded. 2 Sims died and 4 including his got the injury. He said it was so sudden like outside of the building his Sims was talking with the boss and the colleagues. Soon after they got inside the meteor hit the building. Among the 2 Sims that died was the boss and that's how my brother's Sims got rank up to be the emperor lol

Fun fact: In sims 3 Sims with the daredevil trait cannot die by fire.

There were also some secret traits related to fire. If your Sim had a child, they'd be born with the immune to fire and PYROMANIAC traits. They'd be able to turn any fruit into flame fruit, they'd recover energy by eating flame fruit, they'd have the ability to create fires and being on fire would give them a positive moodlet.

If you want to traumatise yourself in sims 3, take a family of 3 and kill the parents. Oh God the way their child cried traumatised me 😂 then it just said "the social worker is on their way" and "game over"
Ofc I didnt save it, I was just checking at what age can sims live without an adult. The answer was "teenager," cuz i had another save where it started with an elder woman and a child girl, i couldn't make them related so she just was her guardian. Yeah so later the child aged up into a teen and one day after the elder woman came home from work she just died. And no social worker! Well yeah so I made the teen later get married to her boyfriend (they've been friends since they were children) and they had triplets who were all girls!!! So when I got the ghost opportunity thing I brought back the elder woman but I kept her as a ghost, so she can take care of the girls while the parents were at work. I honestly really love that family tho :D

Ambitions is such a great expansion. One of my favorite of the whole franchise.

Yeah the firetruck really makes a huge difference and being able to tip them is a nice touch Sims 4 offers no real game play or visuals like that.

In Sims 3 World Adventures, traps could set you on fire but you could use the "shower in a can" item to extinguish yourself. As an alternative, you could jump into a dive well.

You forgot about meteor strikes, which are related to the firefighter career in The Sims 3 Ambitions.

They should have the sprinkler system working without the alarm, or a different alarm, one to call the firefighters and other to activate the sprinkler

Still the Sims 1 fires were the hardest & most panic ones... they raise so easily & eat everything around... and Sims were stupid, running always to the fire instead of staying somewhere safe + that magic spell was only available through crystal growth.
Btw I wish I grew up with Sims 3, having a unicorn to finish the job is cool as hell!
Yeah! If there's a fire there's a legit thread all of your sims may die if you don't handle it well, once they're caught in the fire, they're done.
I remember in sims 3 my sim have brave traits, when fire started my fire alarm start to going off, but my sim just extingush the fire, the firefighter takes long time to my house, when she there the fire alreasy extinguished, and she still charge me 500 simoleon and saying that i prank call the firefighter

Yeah, I've only had it happen once when I played the FF career, and it was amazing...you had to actually dig Sims out of rubble and stuff and put out the fires, was very intense and exciting.
So, its rare occurance but also for FF only.

@@pedro6720 there is a glitch on top of the glitch. I had one that made me go what the actual hell 🤣 when there was a laundry animation the basket had fire animation instead. Happened once. Shame I didn't catch on a video 😅😅😅

But most of them are most annoying and make the experience of playing the game less enjoyable

Whenever I play Sims one I never put a kitchen stove. Like, they can live by eating salad everyday because at least for me it doesn't matter how high you cooking skill is. THEY ALWAYS PUT THE HOUSE ON FIRE.
Gosh, it's so annoying I just gave up on that, just eat salad my dears. Sims 1 it's already too difficult, like, don't light out the house for the 41th time pls. 😂😂😂😂
You can always buy a fire alarm or sprinklers if you're in the mopping mood, OR both

My first fire on the sims 4 happened because my sim's wife was doing bar tricks. She started using fire to make the tricks and Booom the house got on fire, I was making myself a bowl of cereal while this happened. When I came back I was so confused lol

Except for businesses/retail and cars TS3 had it all. TS2 actually had the animations of pulling in and out of your garage instead of vanishing.
Like I mentioned before, the simple act of customers lining up at the register to be checked out felt so authentic. I miss these two things dearly.

honestly in my opinion sims 2 will always hold the top place for the best sim game with the most thought put into it, like you could see them getting in cars, having pillow fights on the couch like cmon now! the other games really lack that
I like how TS2 allows you to learn about fire safety.
After all that, the Sim who learnt fire safety will be like firefighter-mode in which they will put out fires faster than most Sims. ( Only when other Sims didn't learn about fire safety. )

4 is kind of shallow and all about clothes and looks..
The Sims 3 constantly proving that it was a game ahead of its time which EA screwed up. Problematic but awsome. Not boring like 4!

I was observing through out the video that when the fire starts the sims like slowly turns around and takes their distance and turn back around and then they start to scream which is a bit dumb since in real life no one would do that.😂😂
I've been on a small fire and is actually terrifying, I was reminded of the Sims instantly, especially when I tried to put it out and my sleeper caught it. Always be prepared, and make sure you know how to use the fire extinguisher

I loved this video but seeing the emergency contacts in the sims 1-3 have police makes me wish that we had crime in the sims 4. Like the only crime we really get is vampires breaking in and sucking your blood but I want the police to call back. We have detective as a active career, might as well add in Police as a free update.

@@SimsAllAround Also magic came on afterwards so people had no choice. They're not gonna remove the firemen because of a magic update. Nor should they, as you say, not everyone wants a magic Sim. Especially those who don't have a magic ep.
Watching this just reminded me at how great Sims 3 was. Sims 4 was alright after tons of updates and expansions but back then it really sucks. Though i have to say that 4 was pretty optimized and there's tons of QoL improvement over 3 and i love that you can play multiple neighborhood at once to compensate 3 open world system. But other than those, 3 stomps on every category

I remember in Sims 3 if a fire started and I called the fire department through the alarm system, my sims would always extinguish it before the department arrived and they would always charge me for "prank calling"
I don't know about anyone else, but I would feel extremely awkward if the firefighters that just extinguished the fire in my kitchen started booty dancing as a way of celebrating. xD

I always found it amusing when you could prank set off the sprinkler system. Watching the Sims run around covering their head from the water was absolutely hilarious
One time while playing the sims 4 a fire started on my lot killed my sim then wouldn't go out for about 4 or 5 sim days

Funny story: I once had my sim die in a fire (her husband and kid were at school/work) and when the firefighters arrived the both died in the fire
in my sims 4 the firefighter left but one of them came back after a few seconds disappearing because I already had the chat action lined up.
That's what I miss in Sims 3, you can see people and cars navigate through the whole town.
My favor thing in the sims 3 was playing as a firefighter and realizing the truck was 51! I love watching the old show Emergency with my Dad and that was a fun Easter egg!

I always just use smoke alarms. And I think Sims 3 had it best. I like how in 3 and 4 they can jump into the shower or pool. I mostly play sims2 so sometimes it's annoying if they catch on fire and some reason act like they are locked in place.

Gloom games and my sister didn’t know, but one of my sims caught on fire and the firefighters said “it’s already out.” So I told my sim to extinguish him. 5 hours later, nothing. The timer is out, somehow he’s not dead. I was like “if you won’t extinguish him, go do your freelancing.” And I clicked on the burning sim as him and it said “Extinguish Self.” So, yup. That’s how I saved him. And then I reloaded the game to reset the broken sim that did nothing and I found the spoiled fire hotdogs floating at an angle like in a GrayStillPlays video.
Were i the only one who loved the sounds of the Firefighter in Sims 1? I remember how often i intentionally put something on fire just to hear the Firefighter. Got me a good laugh.
Somehow I really like the furniture art designs in The Sims 1 especially the kitchen, it's like there are something about them, maybe because they're in 2D lol

In sims 3, i had a funny expirience, my stove caught on fire by cooking, and i have a fire alarm called the fire department, at the same i have a skeleton maid working near me as well and she put out the fire as quick as possiable. When the fireman came to my lot, the fire already gone, and fireman wander a while before she left and sent me a fine for abusing fire service :D

I could have sworn in Sims 2 that if you have a fire alarm, a firefighter showed up from the sky and then left when all is well. Maybe that was a fever dream? I never remember the truck.
