About the AFI Life Achievement Award
The highest honor given for a career in film, the AFI Life Achievement Award was established by the AFI Board of Trustees in 1973. Denzel Washington will receive the 47th AFI Life Achievement Award, celebrating his life and work. The special will air on TNT on Thursday, June 20, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by an encore at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Sister network Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will also air the special in September, during a night of programming dedicated to Washington's work.

I feel like Morgan Freeman has been 80 for the past 40 years
Being roasted by Morgan Freeman is an achievement of a category winning an Oscar.
Morgan Freeman can literally narrate a rock doing nothing for an hour and a half and I'd still break down into tears
Can Morgan earn a second lifetime achievement award? He deserves it.
A man's greatest achievement is being respected by the men he respects the most.
If Morgan Freeman narrated my funeral even my enemies would be in tears.
For those of you who are not aware, this was Morgan's response to Denzel after a previous awards ceremony where the roles were reversed. Love it.

Nothing but respect for both of these men. Legends is the appropriate term. Not only for their acting but for who they are as people off screen as well.
