I am a retired Corrections Officer and I have dealt with many people with Mental Health issues. This is a great rendition of what it's like to go through withdrawals. The video enhances the experience and draws the observer right into it. It allows us to share your pain. It takes an artist to make another feel with your art. Much credit most go to you, and your PIC Nova. This is right up there with Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Damn it good to see high intelligence come pack to music. I love the follow ups "Let Me Go" and finally "Stronger Version". I have a couple of recommendations for you: Frank Zappa - "I am the Slime" and Harry Chapin - "There Only Was One Choice". Hello, I'm Shawn... I'm an alcoholic. I found this vid after hearing Fake Woke on the Glenn Beck show. Became an instant fan even being over 50 and hating rap music. Spent the last three days watching your vid's and reactions in my off time. One girl posted in the comments about this song and I checked it out...... Damn, you hit the nail on the head about addiction.

I heard Tom on Glenn also. heard fake woke a couple days before that. I'm 55 and it's great to find someone making incredibly intelligent, well thought out music that paints such clear pictures in the mind. But also the depth to give someone something to think about over time.

Commented on this earlier but since then I've started therapy and learned about the damage from childhood I had and didn't realize how it created the "voices" he's portraying in this song. Anybody that's had any trauma in their past or present I encourage and pray you start your journey of healing today you won't regret it.
Its amazing how you and your music came into my life. I am a 42 year old custodian. While cleaning up a classroom this song came on my headphones while listening to pandora. As my name is Thomas as well, it really scared me, but also got my attention. as i sat down at a students desk i listened to the lyrics of this wonderful song. I played it over and over. During this time of my life, i was headed towards divorce, neglecting my kids and dealing with my own demon. Even after a year of week to week therapy, nothing was sticking till this song literaly called my name. Since that night, i have turned almost everything in my life around. I have even discussed your music in therapy and how it has changed my outlook on my situations. Thank you from one Thomas to another.

the song itself is REALLY good...but i'll admit some of the cinematography is quite cringey XD the voice should have been ENTIRELY out of frame to add that fear element instead of being just an aspect of himself, you could have had that as a subtle subtext instead of just thrown in your face with the cringey omen-like thematics.
I love the song. I also like the concept for the video. The visual representation of two sides of your mind fighting with each other.

100% agreed. That's the first thing I noticed and honestly, I find it refreshing to see (hear) an artist open up and share. The more I listen, the more I like and I'm not really a fan of rap music. I listen to a little rap when in certain moods, but it's nothing mainstream and it's usually someone or a group that's not even around anymore, like Beastie Boys or Jurassic 5.
@Addison Walter what about "you girls?" My comment was in response to this song's depiction of a man struggling with his demons and insecurities. Male artists, especially those in this genre, which is built on "flexing" and "game," hardly ever show any vulnerability. We have generations of kids who think "you need to go hard" and always project dominance. It was refreshing to see someone take the same position that so many young adults or struggling adults or anyone coping with pain and addiction faces everyday. I just don't see how your comment relates to anything I've said.
@Addison Walter there's nothing to apologize for. I just didn't see how it fit. Were you saying that female artists often show vulnerability in their music? I'm asking because I am one of these people who really gets set in a genre or on a band and often that involves independent or lesser known artists. If it's on the radio, I doubt I will ever know of it. Radio has been so corporate for so long that I can't even stand to listen to it anymore. I guarantee you that most of the radio presets in my vehicle are still set to the factory defaults ... aka static.

Keep the light on. Darkness can never keep out the light. Jesus will walk with her and carry her through all her troubles. Biggest issue is people thinking that they can some how reach a level of perfection when God clearly states we will never measure up. The battle will always be there but God is the only one that can simply say enough and release you of all the burdens. I'm no drunk but I pray to God almighty that if I could take any or all of your wife's pain and demons and help your battle im happy to do so.
