Lyrics:
Oh yeah
Sh de da de dup dem de doo
All the time I think of you
Holding on to someone new
Don't make me lose my mind
Seems like I been here before
Baby I can't take no more
Of you trying to play me out baby
I feel so strange thinking about you
After all the wrong you've done to me
I can't go on feeling like I do
Cause my heart loves you
I'm so confused
Don't waste my time
Cause someone like me you'll never find
I thought we had a good thing
But I was wrong and now I must move on - 음악
Can’t call yourself a real Usher fan if you don’t know this one!!!

Usher 90s King Shit! 🎶🔥Who still here in 2024?
TOOK ME BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD...THE 90S WERE A HAPPY TIME
@Chyna Edwards. I might be a little older than you but I myself was in college. I was 19 when this song hit, and this takes me back being in my college dorm after class on a warm sunny afternoon in FL, siting in the tv room watching all the hiphop/r&b classics on B.E.T and Rap City. Such simpler innocent times for me back then. I miss my college buddies; I haven't spoken to them in a long time.😥 Faaaaaaamuuuuuu! Go rattlers!🐍
What year did this song come out
@@dsrgreen29 94
Best time ever
No Chyna, The 90's were a BEAUTIFUL TIME!!!🌺
He really should start the Super Bowl performance with this. For the fans from the beginning.
He never sings this song...he thinks no one knows it. He was hurt about it for years, but now he kind of jokes about it. I hate it because it's still one of my favorites.
It would've been crazy if he started with Call Me A Mack 😂
@@SmoothCrmnl80 Yes...haha
@@lisacox5405I know the song, but I never knew that it was him. And I’m embarrassed because I’m old enough to know 😅 I would’ve bet my last dollar that “you make me wanna” was his first single lol
I love how usher opened the show with MY WAY setting like a king upon his throne with that white fur studded with diamonds. Seeing usher from think of you (this song is neck and neck to candy rain IDC 😍🥹) on some 90s shxt THIS SONG WAS ALWAYS A VIBE. Real usher fans know..baby usher had it 🤌🏾🌟👑
I miss the 90's so bad😢
90's 4 Life- Jade, Brownstone, JoDeCi, TLC, Aaron Hall, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Onyx, Queen Latifah, Nas, 2Pac, Cypress Hill, ToTal, Faith Evans, Mary J Blige, Aaliyah...

Still listening to this classic in 2024!!!
You a REAL Usher fan if you know about his First album that debuted in 1994!!!
Don't forget "Call Me A Mack" from the Poetic Justice soundtrack and it's his birthday too. Happy Birthday to Usher!
Yeah man and don’t forget it was Donnell Jones that penned this song!!. You can hear him on the hook!!.
Can U Get Wit It and that video
Classic Album!!! Underrated
Donnell Jones wrote this btw. Sounds like a song he'd sing!
+IamMe UAreU I know right
+Lateshia Childs oh yeah
In fact the song heavily samples 'Tidal Wave' by Ronnie Laws (Pressure Sensitive)
+Perverted .Alchemist u right bruh..im wrong on that one..good lookin
omg 4real thats my fav singer
THIS WAS THE JAM!! that early 90s sound was so soulful! 🖤🎶
Usher WAS & STILL IS one of the longest lasting singer from back in the day. He's a very positive, hardworking, driven, classy, well mannered, professional Gentleman. I like how he's always been focused on his music business and he makes good music. Ush is COLD, BAD as hell... All hands down and can dance his ass OFF. Love him.
Don't forget Mary j also
And Brandy
Him and Beyonce made it through it all since childhood. I don't know anyone else in that Era that is still relevant, making music good music at that and not broke. Still humble still look good up there in age and all
RIP Chucky Thompson who produced this song 😔😔😔😔😔
He used the Tidal Wave sample like Black Moon did for Who Got The Props..
And sample big daddy Kane and biz markey
Man the 90's was an amazing time period
John Hoffman I agree
Yes it was
Best

PREACH 😍
Usher was a child singing like a grown man! 🔥his lyrics and music were 🔥
Yes he was and you just had to be there
Donell Jones wrote and produced this.
@@wilcoxpromise Usher also wrote it
@@wilcoxpromise I thought Faith wrote this
Um He was definitely an adolescent not a child actually so he could very well sing in an adult way with practice
A top 5 Usher song for me. It’s still a bop and it takes me back to my childhood
Still a classic damn near 30 years later
Aint that crazy this song almost 30 yrs old 😩

WORD!!
🔥Can definitely tell that Donnell wrote this 🔥🔥
Usher's first CD is so underrated. It was so good. As a whole, I think it was and is still his best CD.
So do I!
Facts but I like My Way better!!!!
From his debut to confessions is his best work in my opinion
Me too.
Confessions was his best
He need a lifetime acheviment award he's been singing since he was a fetus
LMAO!!
😂
😂😂😂
Not a fetus 😂😂
Not a fetus 💀💀💀
Damn. The 90s was such a beautiful time to be alive. Everything was on point and not overly saturated. Having to wait hours on BET and MTV countdowns to hear this, unless you recorded on VHS 😂. Even crazier when he performed it on All That.
Taral Hicks is so pretty
Usher had so much soul and still does :), I love soulful music
YES!
Keshia from Belly was in that video
I didn't know about this
Omgg! I just noticed that! So pretty. I still love this song!
Sure do! He the last of the Mohegan
Did some research on her.. I could believe this was the same girl from Belly!
He didn’t perform this at the Super Bowl, but it was still 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Donnell Jones, Faith Evans on the lyrics and Usher singing, dynamic duos of the 90's🔥🔥
Whaaa?? For real?
Power house I met her before
Who would think that this young man in this video would be the legend that he is today?
Donell Jones killed those background vocals
Betty Millz I know my R&B ! You my friend !? Hooked me up on sum game !!
Donell Jones was a background vocalist in this song ? 😵🔥 wow
Donell Jones Wrote This Song
Wow never knew that
AND Faith Evans!!
Who's Still loving/bumping this in 2022? The 90's are undefeated!
Me ..I have to remind my son's of early Usher
10/22/22
I just wrote a verse to the instrumental
Yes this was my teenage yrs still loving this

This still my jam & I’m 41 ✨💫
Me too
He better perform this at the Superbowl
Don't dismiss your 1st hit! 😊
That's the same thing I was thinking how could we get him to sing this song again this was one of my favorite songs
Usher has been officially crowned as KING OF R&B 👑🎖️🙏🏾 he earned it. Watch club shay shay ❣️ usher is said to be the "successor" to MJ ..and the last artist to have recived a diamond album. 8 Grammys 12 billboard awards and the last r&b artist to have dance with Michael Jackson himself. Usher is KING ✨
Well he didn't and that's ok. His catalogue is massive there's absolutely no way to perform everybody's favorites I 13 minutes.
@@carlosedwards3230but he never does this one I never heard him once sing it live
Donnell jones wrote this song with faith Evans. You can hear Faith in the harmonizing oooo
Didn't know that.
Cool
Didn't know that but now I can see this being a Donnel Jones song.
I was born Nov. 79 so i remember the young Usher era on the radio station!! I miss being a teen in the 90s!!! Can i go back please!!!
Yes I born may 1980 this was the good old days
U guys r lucky

Sept 23rd 1980...I just turned 40,I feel like an old man now looking back at far the 90's was. If you're an 80's baby the 90's the Era that shaped us.
This song gives me chills. The memories ☺️

It's so soothing....
RIP Chuck Thompson.True legend.
Day 1 fan here!!! First song I discovered when I discovered Usher and played on repeat on my Walkman on a family trip to Montreal from NJ ❤️🙏🏼. Loved his music and talent ever since!! He is my favorite R&B singer and will always hold a special place in my heart since my adolescent years. Cant wait to watch him perform and watch him grace the stage. May God bless him always 🙏🏼
When they used dark skin black women in the videos very refreshing
Shot out to Taral Hicks!!!!!!

Faith Evans was harmonizing on here too.

The 90's we're the best time of my life!
Definitely a hidden gem if you didn't know about it when it hit then. You really do have to remember it to look it up. He blew up with "you make me wanna" & it overshadowed this song. This one is probably my favorite one from him.❤️🔥✌️😎
Easily my favorite from that Album 🔥 🔥
T-Boz choreographed this video! she did her damn thing! lol Love this song

Right!!!
This was my favorite Usher song of his entire career...this album didnt get the publicity it desrrved great music..I I hear Donnell Jones and Faith Evans singing all the background vocals.
What a career Usher, Hype Williams is directing your second video and Diddy is backing you when you are only 16. I can’t believe how humble this guy is
The moment he starts that harmony on the bridge😍
i been waiting 19 years for Usher to top this one....
RodWone Lol goodBYE he topped this with Nice n’ Slow and then topped everything he will ever do for the rest of his life with the Confessions album.
Man, I am so happy to have been born at this time to watch all this unfold. Usher been doing this thing. Go head, Usher Baby!
Thank you very much. Chuck Thompson big time producing my favorite R&B singer of all time and many rappers and pop singers you made good music with many. Faith Evans, Biggie, Soul to Real, Ne Yo, and so many you can name of. RIP Chuck you did and done so much in the music industry. So much good music because of you.
RIP Chuck Thompson 🙏🏾
Usher time to shine! black history month! let's get it! ❤😂🎉
Taral Hicks is the lead female dancer, T-Boz came up with the dance routine for this video and Faith Evans singing background.
hell taral hicks is da love interest too i think. check old gurl 👀
Wowwww Taral Hicks can sing her butt off too.
One of the few songs off that album that was actually age-appropriate.
Written by the RnB guru Donell Jones 🙌💯
Still a big fan. If you're a true fan you will know Usher came out long before '97
Right! Usher is only 1 month older than me. So we were both in 9th grade when this song came out lol
Yes
Too bad for me then XD
I was a toddler in 1995 when his first album came out.
I never knew about him until the early 2000’s 😭
(Was born in early 90’s)
he came out in 95 right
When I was younger I thought he came out in 97.. I was born in 93 btw
The best song he ever made...
This song popped in my head today! Still a bop! This song and video reps the whole 90s era vibe in 3 minutes and 53 seconds for me.
Mines to 😂
That's how I got here too!
Usher is one of the greatest R&B voices in R&B history and the dude got the moves and the styles like Michael Jackson, still love his music today.
Damn Usher was so cute he still looks good and youthful he has aged very well...But I miss this era of music I'm glad I grew up listening 2 the greatest 2 ever grace us Jodeci, 112, Dru Hill, Usher, Boyz 2 Men, HI Five, H-Town, Color Me Bad and the list goes on and on!!!!! can't no generation of music compare 2 the 90's early 2000's that era was WINNING!!!!!!!!!!
This was a great time for music - but the greatest? I was a 90s teen, but I got a hard time calling the 90s better than the Motown era, or the jazz era, or the funk era. Most of the 90s artists u noted I think would give deference to those older artists b4 them
Me too A. Taylor. The things we like from the 90’s pays homage to the late 60’s and early 70’s. But r&b or soul music is cyclical, I'm praying that I live to see another wave of great musicians and singers like generations past.
Same with the 80’s (even though I wasn’t born in the 80’s. XD I was born in early 90’s)
I truly agree
@@adriennebonner1206 there are some now they are very underrated. Check out Teyana Taylor, Anderson Paak, Sebastian Mikael, Kevin Ross, Ella Mai, Aloe Blac,
I remember when Ushers tunes came out.I was 14. Turns out we are born on the same Birthdate but i was born 79 he's 78, but I remember thinking "what does he know about sex and relationships !!!?" 🤣 . He's always made "grown people" sounding songs, and it works.
Classic banger. Miss the 90’s
This is still my favorite Usher song! I miss the 90’s that was my ERA!!
King of RnB this one a classic 🔥
I say that also... his longevity is so impressive! Idk why we argue this. He's deserving or should be named amongst kings
This was back when Usher was a quite less known artist in 1994 until his successful sophmore album My Way in 1997
This is an underrated Usher joint from 1994, and Good Kisser is an underrated Usher joint from 2014!
One of my favorite Usher songs
This was a different era....music was made for you to chill out to, ride to, bob your head, or dance with someone of opposite sex at a house party or club.
Chris a Brown said it best, this is the "turn up generation" They don't want to chill, they want to go hard....I can respect that, but I hope things go back to how they were.
They're moving with the times. The new generation has so many easily open doors compared to the good ol days. That eras music was so chilled cause of the producers that grew up on soul music. Sampling made it more fun to make music, let's face it we won't see it coming back but we can always go back.
Jazzy Tre exactly...in the 90s, the youth were mostly people born in the 70s...they grew up on Earth Wind and Fire, George Clinton etc....and you could hear it in the music.....A lot of the 90s R&B used a lot of the 70s and 80s musicians as well............Sadly, I think we're stuck with this artificial, uninspired music.
Eli C I would like music to have the same vibe as the 90s, but definitely be something new and original....the same way groups like Jodeci and Boys 2 men had the same vibe as classic motown groups, but updated it to the new era (at that time)
💯💯💯
SoulPhilly Skates Krew more importantly we werent so aware that artist's sampled so much especially since most of us did have so much acess to the internet
you can tell P diddy was his mentor during this time.
He lived with him during this time...
Back then he was at the pinnacle of his Midas touch, except it turned to platinum not gold
Facts shiny suit era
His mom hates Diddy. Had her 15 year old in strip clubs and who knew what else
@@MrYS-eo5zw this was before the shiny suit era
Black Moon "Who Got The Props" Ronnie Laws "Tidal Wave" this sample is 🔥🔥🔥
Usher me and keke coming for you in two weeks. Can’t wait
Can I go back to the 90's pleaseeee?? 😭 I'm sick of this adulting bullshit and sick of this shitty new music. I want to go back!

If you figure out a way take me with you......
I was in born in 96 and thats how i feel !!
i wanna go to lol born in 87 ....i wish the kids in 2016 wake up and realize what real music is
+lanay richardson wish i was born in the 80s and grew up to 90s music but i grew up to late 90s and early 2000s it still had that same feeling but the 90s was the golden era .
He really has a way to get into your very soul, w every single song he does! Love Usher, always!💯

A underrated Usher Song Smooth Jam!
The Usher Album. Released in 1994 on LaFace. Classic
Y'all say you miss this type of music but when an artist comes out and does this NONE of you R&B community members support it.
Preach !!!!!!!!!!!!
g star gotta keep it 100
Lol @ "When an artist comes out and does this" you must of missed my comment fam. This was the Golden Age era. A Artist of Today couldn't do this IF THEY WANTED TO because now we live in the Dark Age. And THAT'S why no one "Supports" it. You can't compare Today's Crappy Music to the Golden Age era of Music.
SoulKidVids "you must of"? you mean "you must have", idiot...
SoulKidVids not everybody makes crap music. some artists create really GOOD R&B albums but it does not SELL. nobody supports it. yet people claim they miss it.
Played this song for my son and he said ma what happened to music today? I always tell him the 90’s had some of the best music. People had to actually be able to sing!!
This when usher was unstoppable
Was a sophomore in HS when this came out. 90s R&B was the best. Usher is Still the ish!
Bring these type of dance moves back bc these dance moves today messes with my anxiety and hips😂🙅🏽♀️
Awww look at lil usher. And to think this was 20 years ago wow. Who would've known that this lil guy would be the international superstar he is now?

The production on this song is amazing and very underrated
My favorite album from him besides confessions. Fun fact, Faith Evans provides many of the backing vocals on this and other songs on the album.
87201?
You are right. Faith and Dave Hollister did the background vocals on this track (bridges) and Donnell Jones wrote it. I believe Donnell also sang the chorus's background vocals.
