King of the Monsters was fucking incredible, a relentless and beautiful thrill ride that left me exhausted and exhilarated at the end (make sure to stay past the credits). The sheer scale of the action makes everything else this year feel small and irrelevant.
No spoilers... but please tell me Ghidorah isn't a lil bitch in the fights against Godzilla.
The movie was AMAZING! I don't know why people are being too critical about it. So what if part of the story was a little strange? The action, the monsters, and the numerous Easter eggs were seriously awesome!

Just saw this movie via prerelease and have to say it was completely amazing! The fights were epic and kept me captivated all the way through! Also the tribute to haruo nakajima was really nice, RIP.

Fights? The movie had maybe 35 minutes of fighting total. The rest were shitty characters running around doing stupid things. Don't mislead people into thinking this is a full on monster throw down. It's a 2+ hour movie and most of it was Millie Bobby Brown running around looking like a 10 year old boy, Kyle Chandler being mopey, or Bradley Whitford holding a coffee cup and saying stupid things. This movie is to Kong: Skull Island what Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen was to Transformers. A poorly acted, poorly written and directed mess with flashy CGI.

@@FioNensa26the human story and overuse of action scenes, made the story less good in quality compared to other godzilla movies, is a fun watch but i always hate the mother character and the stupid device that makes the titans act like pets. I think 2014 is superior cause of the way it set up the fights and how big they showed the titans also had a better human story and made an almost realistic approach to godzilla.

If you haven't seen this movie, please see it! This was a fantastic movie! I will let you know some of the acting was cheesy, but the titans were well used! Awesome battles! And they used the original music from past Godzilla's movies. The music definitely made this movie into a masterpiece!

Maybe I'm placing too much high hope on it but I might come close to reaching Infinity War level in terms of how many watch it and love it and all, a modern classic, if that makes sense. It may not be perfect in the eyes of the critics but it honestly has a high chance of being such in the eyes of most of the audience.
The last Japanese Godzilla movie "Shin Godzilla" was Oscar worthy. It was far more than just a monster movie.
