That's probably the only thing they did accurately in this movie actually 😅. Megs are believed to have hung around shallow waters to give birth and hunt
I think a little suspension of disbelief might be required for this one... This is Sharknado on a big budget! Count me in.

meg is based from a novel back in the late 90's and '00 there are 7 of them... next in line would be Meg Primal Waters

This movie knows exactly what it wants to be. A solid 6/10 shark film that’s so entertaining it ends up being 8/10

I feel like it's one of those movies that knows it is kinda ridiculous, so they added comedy moments and others. I like this movies like this way more than movies with a ridiculous storyline but a serious theme. This is definitely gonna be fun

@TiPoK basically what you saw in the trailer, a T-Rex goes into the ocean to hunt and gets ripped apart by a Meg
@@TiPoKoS the book version is slightly different. Its a herd of hadrosaurs that the T-Rex is chasing on the beach. Two of them try for deeper water, followed by the T-Rex, and a Meg approaches underwater. The hadrosaurs are spooked by the Meg's mass moving them in the water, and they retreat to shore.
The T-Rex, being heavier with more muscle mass, sinks into the soft shore and is stuck, it is then bull rushed and crushed in the Meg's jaws, it's guts literally forced up into it's esophagus, strangling it.
The hadrosaurs collapse on the beach as the Meg breaches out of the water behind them, shaking the corpse to pieces.
The first release of the book had this as a standalone scene, the re-release fixes the historical inaccuracy by making it a "what if" video Jonas is playing at a seminar on Megs he is doing.
This ignores that Megalodon came around long after Tyrannosaurus.

Love the books. The first movie is a guilty pleasure for sure. Wish it had been more book related tho. I really wanted angel to make an appearance. But I'll be seated in theaters again for the meg.

Within the first 3 seconds a scientific inaccuracy, the Megalodon did not inhabit the Earth at the same time as the dinosaurs.

I love the fact that in the beginning it shows “One Species Ruled the World” and you’d think it was talking about the Rex but then it’s just “No no no not that species, this species” and then the Meg just kills the Rex Jurassic World Mossosaur style
