    At 57 years old, Greg Thomas was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer and given only a few months to live. Although he was growing weak, he passed the hours walking his dog. On one fateful day, he took another path, which led him to an abandoned church.
    He suddenly felt compelled to start caring for the church and got approval from the historical society. Little by little, he restored the church and painted the interior making it look brand new. Each day, he prayed for a miracle.
    Now, three years later, his cancer is in remission. How incredible is that?! No matter your religion, we can all agree this is a beautifully touching story about the power of faith and miracles.

      First off, I'm alive because my mother had sex and got pregnant.
      Secondly, the laws listed in the Bible advocate slavery, torture, genocide, infanticide, kidnapping, and murder.
      According to the system in the Bible, a child molester who believes in Jesus gets rewarded with eternal paradise while a good and charitable person who doesn't believe in Jesus is tortured for eternity.
      Is that a good, moral, and just system? Imagine if the justice system worked like that.

    • @Batya-Grace
      @Batya-Grace 9 년 전 +3

      Taylor Moore a that's because Mercy and Grace is about the giver's choice rather than the receivers bad choices, crimes and sins. God doesn't measure one sin against another. All sin is the same in God's eyes so the murder you commit in your head sometimes when you're angry at someone is no different than Ted Bundy but Ted Bundy is in Hell because he never turned to Jesus and was most likely possessed anyway. Point is, crimes have levels to us but not to God. He shed His blood for all sin so the blood covers all sin. The only thing that's not covered in rejecting the blood because if you reject it than how could it possible cover you? If someone offers you a gift and you don't want it or feel you need it then you shall not have it. By the way, not everyone who claims to be a Christian is. If a rapist calls on Jesus but continues in sin then they are not changed to begin with. The Holy spirit changes the hearts and minds of those who truly become saved so then they would no longer rape or molest and a changed heart is like a new person. The blood has covered their sin so it can no longer be recognized by God.

    • @Batya-Grace
      @Batya-Grace 9 년 전 +3

      Taylor Moore secondly, God does not advocate slavery and torture! Yes it was done in the way LD testament but that doesn't mean God was happy about it! The bible is many things including a history book which entails descriptions of what people did. People make choices that God allows because God gave man n women free will. Some humans are for slavery but God is not and the bible simply states what humans did.

      Yes, because they can turn the evil that Satan did to them into goodness through God. There is God, and there is Satan. When good happens, it's God. When evil happens, it's Satan. Sometimes all God can do is take the mess Satan did to someone and turn it into a message.

    • @SineDeus
      @SineDeus 7 년 전

      Then your god isn't all powerfull and all mighty. He knows all that was, is and will be. Then he knows when evil will happen, could stop it, he doesn't. So your argument has fallen.

    • @AlbertaRose94
      @AlbertaRose94 7 년 전 +3

      We are human beings, not puppets on someone's string. You say "my God" as if you do not believe in God. If you are speeding and do vehicular manslaughter, are you going to blame God for not protecting that person, or are you going to take the blame for speeding and killing someone? Far too many people are quick to blame God, instead of themselves. I do not blame God for my wrong decisions nor other people's wrong decisions because I realize there is Satan, and human beings have free will. This man was told by doctors and nurses he was dying of cancer. He did not give up, he chose to turn to God. He is no longer dying of cancer. He has chosen to thank God for that fact. If you are dying of cancer, you can choose how and whom you turn to for support. If after three years you are still alive, you can post a KRplus video thanking whomever you turned to for support.

    I wonder if the church is open again for worship, or if WAVE did staged it by setting out a missal. In the current, post-Vatican II liturgy, the missal is in the correct place, but it would have been on the other side for much of Mass when the church was originally open.

    This isn’t meant to be derogatory, but it shouldn’t take cancer to be one with God or do a good deed repainting and repurposing a church, for his age it doesn’t make any sense he didn’t know the church was there prior to walking with his dog being in solitude. You should be one with God already, blessed you can breath, not a nearing death moment reaching out for help at the last minute.

    • @gracefultimes
      @gracefultimes 년 전

      True but this is the way it is with A LOT of people who are lost. God looks for us but we don't pay attention until we feel we need him. We should be living with God as our focus but we don't and yet he continues to show us mercy ♥ He will save as many as he can and sometimes near death is what takes for some. I'm glad he's born again.

    • @AlbertaRose94

      The doctors and nurses told him he was dying of cancer. If the doctors thought that treatment would work, they wouldn't have told him he was dying, they would have told him the treatments would eventually help him to live. Also, Alex Pearce is 100% correct, this isn't the thread to insult religion. If you don't want your life path insulted, don't insult other people's life path.
