Personally I like the British accent more cuz it sounds a bit posh and dignified.

In Taiwan, when we learn English, we learn the American accent. However, I went to learn English in Sheffield, England one summer when I was in college. That year is 1997. It just took me almost two weeks to finally understand "schedule" in English accent when my homestay hostess pointed to my schedule and said, "According to your schedule." By the way, at the language school, the English teachers always tried to "fix" our American accent. They really didn't like it.
The British are far, far more protective of their version of English than Americans are. American English teachers wouldn't correct your British accent if you had one.

Color is spelt colour here But american movies are so widespread we mix it up Now I try IELTS training and can't even place my accent properly. I'm England born and raised and I love the American accent! The American girl is so polite and we'll mannered whereas the English girl comes across as quite rude at times!
Well, I don't really like the American accent, ours's the original one as English originated in England not in the USA, so yeah!

In Taiwan, when we learn English, we learn the American accent. However, I went to learn English in Sheffield, England one summer when I was in college. That year is 1997. It just took me almost two weeks to finally understand "schedule" in English accent when my homestay hostess pointed to my schedule and said, "According to your schedule." By the way, at the language school, the English teachers always tried to "fix" our American accent. They really didn't like it.
The British are far, far more protective of their version of English than Americans are. American English teachers wouldn't correct your British accent if you had one.

I’m Japanese from Japan that immigrated to Australia so I’m not biased when I say that every encounter I’ve had with Brits were a bit rude and tend to talk trash about Americans for no reason. Americans were EXTREMELY friendly it’s a bit creepy lol but they always talk amazingly about brits for no reason. And I can see it a lot in this video
