Honestly when it comes to Maxine I feel similarly to you, which I’ve realized is an unpopular opinion, however, I do think I know why they’re trying to turn her into a wrestler I think Maxine was brought to the main roster to be a “diva “because remember that’s what Vince McMahon feels female talent should be, it’s not about talent it’s about the way you look and Maxine has the look that fans liked so that’s why she was called up. I think Triple H is trying to now turn her into a wrestler, to make it appear like she was called up based on potential and not looks. The problem with that for me is if NXT did not exist it would be fine for her to learn on the job because I wouldn’t want someone to lose their job because they were called up for the wrong reasons right ? at that point it wouldn’t be her fault, however, they do have a developmental show! so she should have been sent back down there heck even Becky went back to NXT and had a run so who is Maxine? why couldn’t they have sent her back to sharpen her skills and then call her up to the main roster when she’s ready.

I feel like Cody felt pressured to go out there and be someone he’s not. All the idiotic curse words and stupid things that the Rock has said, Cody didn’t need to respond the way that he did. As someone else wrote here, he just needs to be himself. He’s one of the best talkers in the industry when he’s just being Cody.

To me a lot of Cody’s promo just fell flat . A lot of it he comes off as inauthentic and wooden . It was basically the same promo he cut against Chris Jericho when he was in AEW. So to me, it was just disappointing to see that he doesn’t have the range to go against The Rock and Roman .
