Recently we had the chance to meet Lee Na-Young while filming an advert for Maxim Mocha Gold, and so we flew to Korea and took the train down to Busan for this incredible opportunity! We thought it would also be the perfect opportunity for Ollie to practise his Korean with Lee Na-Young, so we practised some phrases for him to say, and off we went!
Will Ollie be able to show Lee Na-Young how fluent his Korean is now?? Or will he freeze in the moment!?
최근에 저희 이나영씨와 같이 맥심 광고에 출연할 기회가 생겨서, 한국가서 부산까지 갔어요! 그리고 이번이 바로 올리가 한국어를 연습하기 딱 좋은 기회라고 생각해서, 올리가 배운 한국어 중에 이나영씨한테 어떤 문장 연습해볼 수 있을지 생각해봤어요.
과연 올리가 이나영씨 앞에서 그동안 갈고닦은 한국어 실력을 뽐낼 수 있었을까요?

I live in Brazil and can speak, comprehend, write english perfectly. I practice it daily for more than ten years now I guess. A few years ago I was at Brazil's biggest airport in São Paulo, and there was this brittish man needing instructions, and apparently no staff member there or bystanders were able to speak english a all. So I went there to help him, damn I sounded so broken, I still managed to communicate and arrange for him to meet with someone that could solve his problem still. But it surely didn't go out as I had thought it would.

For real. English is not my first language, but it is my best language and I speak it the most fluently out of all the languages I now. Yet when I’m around native english speakers I get tongue tied and suddenly forget how to speak properly.

I think most of Korea's beauty standards are what people in general biologically think is attractive, just in other parts of the world, there might be not be a specific phrase for it, such as a small face which means proportional. I think In any place, a person with good proportions is considered attractive, I live in the US and a lot of people tell me i look prettier with my hair down. This makes my face appear smaller and narrower as my hair frames my face, and my eyes look bigger. I think although it is put in different words in America, this is also people liking how my face seems to look more proportional with my hair down.

Gissel SN there's a Korean movie called "Train to Busan" and its about Zombies taking over the most part of the country, while this happens a father and his daughter are going on a train from Seoul to Busan, and that train also gets invaded by the zombies, it's a great movie with high ratings and I recommend it, give it a watch when you have some free time :)

완전 미친듯이 정주행 중입니다.. 진짜와 너무의 차이를 말하시는 거 보고 정말 깜짝 놀랐어요..한국 사람들도 구별을 잘 안해서 표준어적으로도 점점 차이가 좁혀지고 있는 표현인데!!!!
그동안은 그냥 봐왔는데 처음으로 존경하고 싶은 마음까지 듭니다.
