Actually from a teacher's perspective, Grace did a great job. She praised Ollie when he did well, and explained what he did well and why (1000% points for this!). She didn't diss him and he learnt the material just as well, even though she was more relaxed and not strict. She also got him back on track easily and gained Ollie's respect, instead of tempting him to be 'naughty'.
On another note, I petition for Grace to sing something classical for us! (Pun very much intended)
Yeah thats what i was thinking, Grace was teaching him well! I feel like Ollie able to concentrate better on learning korean on this episode, while bringing out the jokes at the same time. And the most important thing is she did not make Ollie feel bad during learning

I totally agree with you! She helped him make the associations he needed to learn the pronunciations and meanings. And that's how Ollie seems to learn - odd connections with jokes thrown in, lol.
I'm sure they play up Josh being the strict teacher and Ollie being the impossible student, but I got legit defensive when Josh said she wasn't strict enough with him. I mean, it worked with Grace - he learned. Right? Isn't that the point?
I wonder if she'll continue to be like that if she gets to teach the boys how to sing classically?

I like that Ollie goes from struggling to say certain words to "My name is Josh, I've never been to a Korean sauna before" 😂 this also goes to show that the phrases that Ollie remembers, he can seemingly repeat them fluently without any problem
It kind of worries me how many times Josh has said that that it's ingrained in Ollie's memory 😂
I love how Grace didn't fully get why Ollie said 250% the other time and was just impressed that he knew how to say 250 in Korean xD

I thought Grace was a great teacher. She took more of the relaxed and encouraging language exchange partner approach, which works very well for Ollie’s current level. And the memory device he created is actually a really great language learning technique. Connecting new expressions to things you already know is very helpful.
And her laugh is so infectious! I love it.
Definitely. I was very impressed by Ollie here, he's using some very effective study techniques. Josh often teases him and Ollie himself puts down because of his Korean but he's actually doing really well.
And Grace was a wonderful teacher.

As a New Zealand singing teacher, I can attest that kiwi accents ARE impossible. Our accent is so lazy! I love hearing Grace on here and calling attention to it. It was voted the sexiest accent last year though...
