Great to see the relocation of the shifter...have to be honest, still looks like it could move another 4-6" forward though...either way can't wait to see this thing hit the dyno!

If this was a pure drag car then sure. But its not so having some comforts of having the shifter closer to you is not that big of a deal imo.
Kickers and Stickers Personally, I think it’s going to be even more critical in a drag situation, as it’s going to increase the chance of miss shifting...

This is a the type of car you take to the track you run a 9 and they kick you out because you dont have a cage.
If Chris wants to recommit this thing to a 100% drag car then he should re-range the shifting position but for what it is currently it will be fine.

Agreed. It's odd, considering that all half-decent editing software has dB level indicators to monitor sound levels.
Just need a driver with really long legs and very short arms and that shifter position will be perfect ;)

Having the shifter that far back isn’t good for racing at all, you want it to be right next the steering wheel for better control.. I may be no racing driver but its true
Makes sense for getting your hand from and back to the steering wheel
Yea I noticed that Oscar had to reach way back to put it in reverse!
true. basic ergonomics
it doesnt necessarily need to be next to the steering wheel but it needs to be the same distance from shoulder to wheel and shoulder to gear lever so that you focus forward and back movements solely on the gear lever and not on positioning your hand.

Something to consider for future builds, I saw someone use rare earth magnets on their build for interior panels. It eliminated the need for screws and clips and made for a really clean install.

Dude that's a twin turbo TSP engine. The 11's are in your back mirror if you drive it right. At a minimum I expect it to run a low 10. But a 6-speed is gonna suck in drag racing... Powerglide 2-speeds is where it's at. 4 less chances to miss a shift.
HMan he’s saying that Oregon regulations require a roll cage in cars that are that fast. Which this is clearly much faster than.

They are closer to the driver. When you are strapped down reaching is pretty hard
