@@MuShinnen Never. And it's not as if rain was going to get in there while the engine is running. Tractor flaps look like shit, too. Also, who cares if rain gets in there, the way it's setup, it can't damage anything and it's going to get vaporized pretty quickly as soon as the car's turned on.

It should fuction fine. It's just not a very efficient turbo setup. Those 180 exhaust bends are gonna be glowing quick.

The turbo inlets will be in a low pressure area of the car, once he is at speed the air will literally have to do a 180 into the inlet and then another 180 through the exhaust. If he really plans on drag racing this car he will find out the hard way.... It'll be a good dyno car though lol

Parker Landram he literally goes on about the venturi effect sucking air away when air flows over something but then puts the turbo inlet in that spot

@@Milkman69ner as they are now will look cool from behind when it's built and will work for driving around town, but if he wants to take it drag racing, he's gonna starve the turbos when he gets to higher speeds

@@APATHETIC79ENDO it was like 1 am when I wrote it, I meant that there were would need to be a thick filter between the turbo as if anything got into the turbo it would probably explode. The filter would drastically decrease air pressure though which may affect performance

It would only need an intake screen to stop large things like stones or whatever and air filters don't effect air flow enough for there to be a noticeable performance loss

It's probably for testing, surely not for final product.

I'm not a fan of the little "S" bend they put in the pipes. I'd rather it matched the exhaust more and was straight.

I was thinking the same thing, if he's going for 1000hp+ he'll probably be running a fair amount of boost, which will just blow those silicon couplers off, and I agree they look tacky and it'd look a lot cleaner with v-bands on them

The silicone couplers will flex, which is what he needs because the engine is on rubber mounts that will also flex.

MuShinnen these clamps are designed to withstand vibration, movement and be flexible.

B is for Build - you could build an extension piece that clamps onto the exhaust ends and aims further back/down, just in case it rains while it’s out and about...

@@Milkman69ner It's a SEMA build, that's kinda the point. It's about how extreme someone can take the automotive platform with x amount of time to do it. This car isn't going to be in a formula 1 event, it's not going to be climbing pikes peak, and it isn't sitting in an R&D lab for testing. The car is what it is.

guido heeling pretty sure he mentioned awhile back that they were going to weld braces in to hold turbos and piping

@@MuShinnen most of the datsun welds were done by oscar iirc. All his recent builds that are bs, like the gambler merc, the boat bmw, etc he does himself. The real builds, like the datsun and the lambo he has other people do the stuff properly (like painting the green lambo, welding the ls lambo and datsun)

noxxi knox no it’s that the intake side is in the rear and that air at speed running over the cars body will cause a vacuum/low pressure area where the turbos intakes are basically sucking air out.
Long story short he will be asking air moving at high speed to make a 180 degree turn into the turbos and air does not like to move that way.

The engine is on rubber mounts, the exchanger is not. There does need to be some sort of flex between the 2

Having the exhaust two inches from the silicone may lead to problems. Heat management is going to be a big problem. Wrapping the exhaust is not going to be enough.

@@1DVSB easy to heat wrap an exhaust, also with how short the exhaust is and how few bends. I doubt heat will be a massive issue there is also no muffler/resonator that would cause back pressure and further a heat issue

An X pipe right over the top of the engine or air to water intercooler would take away from the beauty of his creation I think plus I'm not a mechanic or engineer but it would have no benefit or power increase

Those people can start their own channels, and build their own lambos for SEMA then. The dude wants to build the car with practicality being placed after aesthetics. So what? It's a show car, and while I'm sure he'll take it drag racing, this isn't the primary function.

So i was thinking just this too. sure the straight pipe out the back would look "less interesting" but..... its a twin turbo huracan ls swap with manual. you could go tractor flap screamer (ole ruby style) and it would still be cool. I do like the attention to detail though, the parallel intake and exhaust pipes is a fucking fancy touch. Thats almost on the level with Icon motors

I find it pretty meh: not boring and not exciting. V10 Lambo builds, LS swaps, turbo kiting, and auto to manual conversions are all pretty done - even if it hasn't been done on a Huracan yet. And this isn't more exciting than say a Alex Choi exo-skeleton Huracan. The V10 240 and Lotus are still by far the most exciting builds on the channel simply because they aren't really seen.

Even without the turbos it would not sound like two inline 4 engines. The firing order and firing timing is different. Imagine, a inline 4 ignites at 1-3-4-2 evenly spaced 180° on the crank. LS do 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 unevenly. That's also why V8 sound kinda ruff compared to inline engines

@@ralvarezjr92 The Most efficient way to induct air into the turbos would be to avoid any bends into the intake.. Plus the Ram effect of a roof scoop would surely improve induction performance
