im actually kinda proud to say that when i was in high school, i slept through a earthquake triangulation explanation and was the first and only person to get the assignment right on the first try. During popcorn readings, i would count ahead to see which paragraph i need to read, and remember the final lines of the paragraph before me, then wake up when i heard those magic words

I've fallen asleep in class once before, and the teacher woke me up by smacking the back of my head with the history textbook. Afterwards, there were kids who thought I fell asleep on purpose to spite the teacher, cause he was so ridiculously boring that other kids (including the tryhards) were trying not to pass out themselves. Lmao, never did it again, but just a note, if you ever teach a class, don't teach it as if you're trying to put people to sleep.

I actually once pulled off an amazing stunt in my least favorite class (history) where when we were taking a test and we all had our folders up to hide our tests i kept falling asleep cuz sleeping at night is for the weak. I kinda just decided to give in and i fell asleep frfr but my brain could sense that my teacher was trying to sneak attack a look to see if i was awake and as soon as she was bouta peek i forced my eyes open... no one knows that i pulled off such a heroic maneuver and she doesn't know that i saw the embarrassment in her eyes after she thought she had caught me...

I slept through my GCSE's (similar to high school) and managed to get a double D, 7 C's 4 B's and an A (but no A*'s, sadly) across all of them. I also managed to get out of PE by doing an extra exam, ECDL (European Computing Driving License, basically an exam where I study MS Word, PPT and Excel and how to use them effectively). I also use to eat in class, and my teachers were 100% fine with it because my in-class work was above average.
Me and my friend had made this whole system of how one of take turns to look out for the teacher while the other catches some Zzs.
I would say it works quite good.

As a highschooler, I can attest that having a group of friends willing to let you sleep and wake you up is the beat strategy.
Me and my best friend would sleep in turns. I would sleep first, then he would sleep in the next class, and so on. We would listen to the discussion and help each other whenever there's a quiz or some shrimp like that.

I learned the ability to sleep while my one eye open. Most usefull thing ever. You close one eye then lose focus with other eye and look into nothingless. But when you go into REM sleep your open eye will move randomly as the name suggests and it looks creepy.
