I love how they make out PIKMIN to be this therapeutic relaxing experience about exploring the world, when in reality you're frantically rushing before the day ends while trying not to get all your pikmins wiped by these massive creatures.
You also left out the fact that you need to find fruit, otherwise your crew, as well as their home planet, will STARVE.
yeah but in Pikmin 3 you only need 1 jar of juice to survive and you end up making more than 1 jar every day, so you just slowly watch your surplus juice buffer grow. It actually is pretty relaxing, compared to Pikmin 1 and 2.

I’m pretty sure they meant that they were working on Pikmin 4 ever since humanity began to exist. They’ve been slowly working on it to a point where we exist around the same time it is "close to completion." At that rate, we’d probably have to wait 3 - 10+ years.

There's a possibility that Miyamoto was mis-translated and didn't mean pikmin 4 and instead meant that a new pikmin game was almost complete, which was Hey Pikmin. The translator just assumed a new game would be pikmin 4.

It will forever be a crime that Alph isn't an echo fighter who uses rock Pikmin instead of purple Pikmin
Heck, with how Purples work in Smash, Rock Pikmin could very well have been purely cosmetic, not even warranting an Echo.

@@Gamxin Oh yeah you're right. I never did play multiplayer in the Wii U original, and yeah the Olimar chapters could bring them back. Part of me wonders if the Olimar epilogue chapter could be the lead in for Pikmin 4.

@@Ksanthecat Purple pikmin also have hair though, as do many insects. I have no evidence that alph's species produces milk or is warm-blooded.
Not to mention that classification like that is based on genetics rather than phenotype, meaning that unless their origin is a monkey that we shot into space somewhere, they wouldn't be mammals even with all their traits in common.

I remember when I got Pikmin 3 for free when I bought Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, I think a '' Pikmin Trilogy '' would be a lot more interesting, I hope the long awaited Pikmin 4 will still come out on the Switch.

When the Pikmin believe that their numbers are too low the hunt begins. They find an unknowing creature, preferably something like a giant breadbug, then they attack. They pummel the innocent bystander to death with their elongated stalks and scratch at it with their tiny claws until finally the poor creature falls too the ground, they watch, laughing in that supposedly innocent chuckle. They drain the creature of its bodily fluids by use of a hidden tongue, then they drag the lifeless corpse of their victim back to the onion or what the pikmin call it The Creation. The body is pulled inside by a gravity field, whilst the pikmin dance around, chanting in their native language. The body is torn into multiple different sections. Bones, skin, internal organs, muscles, etc. are used to create the different types of pikmin, and finally what remains of the creature comes out as that little pixie dust stuff that comes out. As the seeds of their next of kin fall to the ground the pikmin sing that song you hear every once in a while you are traveling. The seeds immediately sprout up from the ground as they wait to be picked to continue the terrible cycle.

My hypothesis is they will re-launch every major Wii U game on the Switch and, unless they add something major to them, like what they announced for the SM3D World port where they added Bowser's Fury, they'll have the "Deluxe" word at the end.

If you like those games you will love pikmin
It's not a platformer but it is action-packed. It's similar to Mario Odyssey in terms of progression, you collect a bunch of things, fight bosses and explore areas.

can't wait to finally buy this game as i felt out of the wii u's games being brought over i wanted this the most since it'd be a control scheme i'd be more comfortable with and i've loved the pikmin series since i played 1 at a demo kiosk(along with donkey kong: jungle beat,super smash bros. melee & luigi's mansion.) showing the gamecube's library at the time off.
