Today I completed a tune-up on my cheap Fast & Furious Lamborghini Murcielago, and it was pretty easy, aside from the obvious lack of maintenance that the car has had in the past. Also, the oil. And coolant. And the smoke. THE. SMOKE.

@@dumas1012 FK filters are a great product. Why would you throw away perfectly good, servicable, working condition filters? It's much better for your wallet as well as the environment to clean them and put them to use, instead of just dumping them in a landfill.
That's like buying a high price, high quality pants, wearing them until they get slightly dirty and then instead of just washing, throwing them away :D

to control the mess for really any fluid change where supports or lift arms are in the way, you can use aluminum foil to cover the object and make a channel guiding the oil to your drain pan. I usually place a magnet on the foil to keep it in place. Afterwards, i put the foil somewhere in the engine bay where it wont fall out and then you have a funnel for topping off oil. Bonus is that with parts not as coated in oil, its easier to identify a leak location.love the channel. Keep it up!

To explain the glug glug situation:
It happens when the fluid flowing out fills the entire exit hole, so as the fluid pours out the empty space inside the container increases. Once enough fluid has poured out, the space inside will have increased enough to where the pressure inside is less than the pressure outside. This results in the air outside pushing the fluid back in momentarily to equalize the pressure in that empty pocket. This is the glug glug. Same as when you fill a 2L bottle and dump it by just flipping it upside down.
So to stop it you need to pour it in a way where the fluid flowing out doesn't completely cover the opening. So for a full bottle you'd want to pour it with the opening at the top, which can be done by pouring the sideways (like in the video) or rotate it 90 degrees to where the exit hole is at the top (so flip the bottle over compared to how you poured it at 16:07)
The oil container may even have a logo on the side showing to pour it with the opening at the top for this very reason. If you type "how to pour oil" into Google images one of the first results is a bottle with this image on it.

couple of things to remember when using K&N: Dont use hot water, the cotton will shrink & cause a spot where dirt can get in even after oiling it. Also, dont use compressed air any higher than 30 psi this again will cause an imperfection that will allow dirt in even after oiling it. I usually clean the filter, allow it to dry in the sun then look thru the filter in the sunlight. You can see where the bad spots are in the filter. You should be mindful of these imperfections because as K&N states with their warranty that it will last a long time but only if serviced properly. :)
