Francine didn't win that fight against Fury. He just did ALOT BETTER than most ppl anticipated. It's like Sandler in Uncut Gems. His performance wasn't THAT AMAZING. But he's a shitty actor in most of his films. So giving a mediocre performance was HUGE for him. Yes, Francine knocked Fury down in the 3rd. They doesn't win him the fight. If you know how to properly score/judge boxing, you'll see it. McGregor also did much better than anticipated against Merryweather. Yes, he got tkod and Francine went the distance, but just because you want him to win doesn't mean he did. Belieeedat.

1:00 I don't know if it was a joke, but one one of the MMA icebergs they talked about one of GSP's coaches who gave him the advice to specifically grapple vs. BJ Penn specifically because BJ Penn did not have any submissions from the bottom and he was less dangerous in that position on the ground. GSP ended up switching his strategy in one of the fights to go to the ground vs. Penn for exactly that reason.

I've always had this thought of how different mma would be if EVERYTHING TO DATE WAS IDENTICAL, except the round/stool times were reversed. 1 minute rounds and 5 mins rest on the stool lol.
I happened to be at UFC 203. Punk happened to be part of the reason why I went, but I had no doubt Punk was gonna lose. Still cool to see his debut though.

Minority opinion here, I think GSP won those 3 rounds and he did it against a juicer. 7 rds to 3 rds for Tyson Fury. True, the most dominant rds, are for Ngannou. Francis needs to learn you can't leave your foot of gas pedal. It's like 3 charges he took 2 rds to knock him down. 3 charges need to be consistent.
They told him to get up and he sat there 3:20 for a good long time.
One thing you didn't mention about the Khumzhot controversy is that his post fight interview where he said "Allah akbar I'll kill everyone" took place on September 11th and it was in America too. It was absolutely disgusting

There was more to the story than just, "Dana got mad at Ariel for being a journalist". Other journalists had the information too and they agreed to sit on the story because the UFC had to call in a lot of favors from wrestling to put Brock in the cage. It sounds like Ariel was asked by the UFC to not run the story, in exchange for the UFC agreeing to give him some favors. From what I can piece together, Ariel took the favors, and then ran the story anyway, thus mo'foing the UFC and torpedoing their big announcement. You can say what you want about Dana, but if you are unethical, he will not stand for that. Ariel, being the pushy, obnoxious little toady he is, strikes me as anything but ethical.
And even if you love Ariel (you poor soul), you have to admit that his little pity party was so pathetic. No wonder none of the hairy chested cavemen involved in the UFC don't respect him.
Why is everybody cry on Romero Stoolgate. The Commision told Romero to sit on his stool until the Vaseline Problem was solved and McCarthy just followed the orders. Romero uses his right hand to block punches and Kennedy was holding the Glove of his right hand

There are 3 judges who rule over the decision in Hendricks vs saint piere fight. The fans don’t score fights, the media mma experts don’t score fights, Dana white doesn’t score fights.
If the decision went via Hendricks there would have been the same backlash due to the fact it is believed you must beat the champ, not just win the fight. If it is judged a draw st piere retains the championship. Jonny Hendricks knows this, he was givin an immediate title shot after the loss so any disparity was remedied. That doesn’t make him the winner of the fight as per the rules he agreed apon prior to the fight, he lost! Opinions across the fandom will vary with this but no of them are the opinions that matter, except the 3 judges who’s job was to score the fight, they saw it how they saw it and that decision is what counts.

I have a question maybe someone on here can help me answer, some people win by armbar submission.. I'm wondering why armbar is even allowed to be counted as a means to knock out, or win the fight whatever.. I mean if that's the case why can't you just twist their arm behind their back until they give in? There's all kinds of tactics cops use called "pain compliance" why aren't you allowed to just use those things to win over another fighter? why just the armbar? which I don't think should be used to win or even be allowed? It seems like a almost a cheat or low blow kind of thing to me.. I'm not being funny or rude I really would like the answer please help. Greasegate wasn't real...GSP was not all lubed up, at the time it was common practice for cornermen to do multiple things for a fighter including applying vaseline to the face, GSP's corner man did that, he was never at anytime lubing GSP up like BJ claims. I watched this live, everyone over reacted and BJ ran with it because he was always a sore loser.

Yeah cornermen are allowed to apply vaseline to the face, because they are trying to prevent cuts. They are not allowed to rub it on the body of their opponent. I don't think the vaseline had much of an effect on the fight, and I definitely don't think GSP did it intentionally, but it was 100% an illegal tactic.
