Day in the Life of a Japanese Housewife in Tokyo

- This is a day in the Life of Japanese Housewife raising a Japanese Kid in Tokyo with Husband. This Japanese family shares their life in Japan and life in Tokyo for an entire day. We follow a Japanese mom and her soon to be 3 year old Japanese daughter inside their Tokyo home to see what they do in the morning all the way until the evening when they go to sleep. Tomomi, 38 years old and child, Karin almost 3 years old spend most of their day in their Tokyo apartment, but they also find some time to leave the house and go to the park. This Japanese family does many typical Japanese family things like make miso soup in the morning and make offering to their home shrine, but they also have their unique aspects of their life. They were kind enough to let us into their Japanese home to see what it is really like being raised in a Japanese home. This day in the life of mom and housewife, should give another perspective on how life in Japan would be if you lived here. I hope you enjoy this video.

I was looking for this comment. Even the part where it was mentioned that she was grateful that her husband is taking the time to take care of their child. They're a pretty special family if you ask me.
Yeah... Giving my 2 year old their own phone to watch KRplus all the time. Super. Bedtime after 10pm???
@@okinoboo4743 Please not all the time. An hour or two is good enough. Too much screentime is not good for kids. Let her be bored so she'd get creative.
@@okinoboo4743 The mother did say that that her daughter watches a lot of KRplus. But from the video, it seems like she doesn't actually.
Honestly this seems like every single family I know in Japan
Can we just take a minute to appreciate that the narrator does not judge the family at all?
He comments everything in a neutral way. Many journalists and moderators/presenters could learn from him. Great video!
Shut up
Totally agree
If most of journalists aren't being neutral or being objective, they could get filed a lawsuit
Try understand the journalistic principles before you presume
@@felixarsene9510 principles are ideas... they represent how things SHOULD run but of course that is often not the case
@@felixarsene9510 I did not say 'most' I said 'many', which might have offered too much interpretation possibilities. A lot of texts, videos and audio I found in the last few years that should be neutral were not. Not in an obvious way like "I think ..." or "you should do .." or "this is better than...". Often they did it in subtle ways, if you don't especially look on it you easily will take the opinion of the author without wanting it. A way many authors did this (maybe subconscious) was with some adjectives that are judging, but not too obvious or if it was audio their tone was already pursuading.
I am not saying all of them were trying to manipulate, I guess they rather did it subconsciously. I also realized it with a lot of the papers I had to write. Many of them had the same "problem" and I did not even realize it until someone told me.
I love how Karin said "My teeth hurt" and Tomomi immediately stopped eating just to check if theres a problem, love moms like her

I'm beyond impressed of how disciplined Japanese people are they do everything with so much precision & so much passion the way mothers just have a natural & nurturing patience with their children I just admire Japanese culture so much! even though I have never travel anywhere in my life I'm just an ordinary Puerto Rican mother that has never seen or even been inside of a plane in my life!😩 but I just find this types of videos so fascinating! 🇯🇵❤🇵🇷

Hope you get to travel wherever you want to go
I admire how she is raising her daughter. You can tell she already respects Karin as an individual with their own needs and interests. She asks her if she likes the outfit instead of just forcing her to wear something, she feeds Karin's curiosity and desire to do things for herself like put on her own shoes, and even when she is working she will stop to pay attention to Karin if Karin wants to interact. She really prioritizes her.

Karin having a better childhood than a majority of us for 14 minutes.
The tragedy of having both parents going to work, leaving the kids in horrible daycare facilities being slapped around and having them fend for themselves. Then once the parents come exhausted from work, leaving no energy fro the kids so they order a pizza and everyone goes to watch TV alone in their rooms. What have we done?
@@REGENERONDEALER The reality of it is, a single breadwinner isn’t viable for the average family. Parents often have no choice but to leave their child in daycare facilities (which by the way, are not always terrible and abusive). It’s possible to have a good work life balance, lots of working families make time for their children, take care of the house, etc. All that matters is that the child is loved and happy, regardless of familial structure. :))
Seriously 😂
My childhood was filled with abuse :/
@@ookreek5374 hello there I would like to add on to your point, you see, you are right for the most part but I live in dubai as a 13 year old (I am indian so it's quite common to only have one breadwinner) and we are considered middle class yet we have still lived in a moderately sized apartment for about 7 years, and even with just one breadwinner, my parents have supplied me with lots of love and enough money for all my needs and wants. Sorry for the bad english😅

Asians look young for a long time.
She does look 38. We Asians all look like that.
that child such an angel
I refuse to believe she is 38 years old bro. Japanese people can become immortal with how young they tend to look!
i mean... asians are basically immortal hot gods.. until they hit 60 and then its instant 100 years old
@@doubled99218 nah not to South korean ..they just do plastic surgery
I think western ppl just look a lot older by comparison. Im asian and seeing 18 year olds on the internet look 30 is crazy to me lol
They're secretly Hamon users.
@@XioneLokyz lol what

Google global truth project and read "the Present" to see the truth about life/death. Nothing is more important than checking it is true, especially pgs 1-4

Being a housewife is such an underrated job..
@@mansamusa8191 depends on how you look at it, in my context, the pay is good successful offspring that will contribute to society, because mothers are very important for a family's well-being, they take control, manage and care about every day activities at home, serving as household managers for the family, thus why it's a very underrated job/occupation especially mothers who juggles between jobs and caring for their children..

Amazing how much energy she has!
Japan is such a civilized country one of the most well Disclipined countries😄
One of the dark sides to it is that Japan also has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. People in their 20s are incredibly depressed because they can't handle the social pressure of succeeding. Its honestly really sad.
@@adamruiz6460 oho so sad😭
She looks like a mom in her twenties, it doesn't show that she is almost 40.
Make up tends to do that
@RZ asmr I get their point was that asians look younger, but the point still stands. It might not show that a lot of these people look older because of makeup.
@@MicroHippo123 actually, make up makes you look a lot older not younger
@@allyalbu3800 When you take it off it makes you look older sure, but while you are wearing a inch thick mask, all those wrinkles and imperfections are hidden, making you look younger
I look similar and im 40 in a few months. I have a vegan diet and do not go in direct sun
The butcher shop! The cast of characters in these videos popping up again is the best meta. It's like a IRL slice-of-life manga.
I hoped I wasn't the only one who noticed, cheers.
Yup, i just wanted to comment that.
It's all connected #paoloverse
Oh yea.

I love your KRplus channel -so pleasant and positive 😊Thank you!
Such a beautiful family 🤩
So nobody's gonna talk about the FAT CAT???? ITS ADORABLE
that cat make my day.
It’s adorable but it’s unhealthy. It will live a happy life getting as many treats as it wants but it still is unhealthy and will have many health problems in the future.
Too true!!! Love it!
It's not fat... it's *CHONKY*
Hahaha😂
Why no body talks about the father? Can't we appreciate his effort for their life?He is always at work but helps his wife doing house chores and he is also a good dad
Thank you man🌷
Yes he seems like a thoughtful father.
Because this video isn't about him. It's about the house wife.
@@AlexFarleyMusic I think they mean specifically within the comments.

That poor husband. Legends say he is still out there working.
Movie Games He’s an Amway IBO, so he definitely has a better time working than the regular 9-5 employee...and probably makes more money as well.
Smashing hot wife is worth it lol
Eric Orta what does an IBO actually??
