Lucky for you, you have nowhere to be, and this shop provides ample ways to pleasantly waste some time. There’s a magazine rack to peruse. There’s a chess set and some cards as well. You know that if you ask nicely the barista will let you flip through the collection of funky old records behind the counter. And what’s this-someone has left a newspaper behind with the crossword puzzle halfway finished. Maybe you’ll just sit awhile and try to finish it. You settle in with your pen in a spot where you can watch the wind gently shaking the golden leaves outside. There’s no reason to hurry. This is a moment that you want to savor...*

Two years ago Iost my very best friend in the world and then six months later my son. this coffee shop was my go to place for comfort and to ease my pain. I still come here when i'm cold, lonely and just need to feel at peace. The music is the best. Thank you.

For a barista, most calming thing about this is there’s no line out the door.

You seriously got me through the pandemic. I am a teacher, and as part of building community with my students, I would run a Virtual CoffeeHouse, where we would sit and talk, with this video in the background. It helped keep us all sane, and my kids still tell me it was their favorite part of the pandemic.

I know it's still July. But I can't wait. Fall is my favorite season. Cool crisp weather, football, Thanksgiving, the holidays getting closer. As hot and icky as it's been lately, I could use some cool rainy days. I don't care if that makes me weird.

I genuinely cannot express the level of appreciation for this comment section. No homophobia, no racists, no fighting, just genuinely good people and relaxing vibes. And to whoever is reading this I hope you have a great rest of your time on this planet and realize that you are a great person and you deserve be accepted for who you are no matter what. This is the best. I can picture this. Downtown, in the fall, autumn weather, a great Jane Austen book, and a warm cappuccino. I'm sitting near the window, warm lighting, it's a vibe.

One of the things I've missed most since this whole pandemic is this, just sitting quietly in a coffee shop, not even necessarily with something to do... people-watching or just being in the presence of others while still technically being alone with myself... listening to the busy sounds of the outside world while being totally un-busy myself, watching the rain...

I cried when the music started playing. I guess I didn't realise how much I've missed just simply being able to go to a coffee shop since the pandemic started. No social distancing, no masks. Just free to watch the world go by. I miss that.

The song at 1:00 is my favorite!!! This is my favorite place that really doesn’t exist!!! I love listening to this specific video while in the shower!!! No kids, no hubby!!! Just a quiet long hot shower and my calm by nature cafe!!! Oh no, someone is knocking on the door!!! If I don’t answer they may just walk away😅!!! I work in a hotel that was once full of laughter and fun. Now, it's just silence. COVID has devastated the hospitality industry and almost all of my coworkers are furloughed/laid off. Can we all take a minute to thank the uploader who's still reading and responding to peoples comments even 3 months down the line, it's nice to see that they care about what people are going through in the comments, some are having a hard time and they sound like they actually care about them, some are just here for the vibe and ambience and they can get down with that too. And I for one, love that!

In college, I would frequent a café called Sweet Eugene's. It has a young, funky vibe, always bustling with college students working on homework or group projects. The screech of the latte foamer was a surprisingly comforting sound as the smell of fresh crepes waft through the air. When I would finish my homework, I'd often read or doodle on my drawing tablet, always ordering a second (or third) cup. Eugene's is always open late. Sometimes, I'd find myself asking for a slice of cheesecake or a donut to end the night. When the weather was nice, I'd often sit on the patio, petting any dog who passes by. The patio has these beautiful string lights, and old CDs hang from the trees, reflecting the sunlight in an array of rainbows. It's this coffee shop where I met the love of my life. Four years later, he proposed to me in the same spot where we met.
I still live in my college town, even three and a half years after I graduated. I still find myself drawn to Eugene's, especially when I have nothing to do. This pandemic has made my favorite place in the world a little more inaccessible, but this video gives me the vibes I so desperately crave. So thank you, Calmed by Nature.

You’re sitting by the window in this café all alone, sketching things on your little sketchbook and looking at the rain outside, the bus stopping near the café and people just walking by. You’ve been feeling so lonely lately and have no one to love.
Your past relationships haven’t been the best and you decided to take care of yourself before anyone else. You took some time to grow up, you’re 26 years old and you’re a woman now..but still, you miss loving someone and feeling loved.
The barista is a dear friend to you and she is always there to make people feel good. Today you just wanted to spend the evening alone because you told yourself it’s better to sit in your favourite café rather than home.
Suddenly a cute guy walks in, he had no umbrella and he’s been running his way to the café to find shelter for a while. He is tall, quite fit, brown hair (a little wet because of the rain), he’s wearing a blue suit, he looks like a business man but seems to be young. He has big brown eyes and a lovely smile. He orders a warm chai latte to have in. You can’t keep your eyes off him, but you try not to be noticed.. you look at him quickly and then look down on your sketchbook.
He sits next to your table and starts sipping his drink and then typing things on the keyboard of the laptop he took out of his backpack.
You’re dressed much simpler: a cozy oversized white jumper, tight jeans, your old fashioned watch, black classic converse and your hair is curly, half tied up and half loose. You stop drawing, thinking if you should talk to him or just let him do his work. He’s really cute.
You drop your pencil (whoops) and it gets next to his right shoe. He quickly bends down, grabs the pencil and hands it back to you. “Sorry..” “Not a problem, nice sketches!” He says. “Oh, they’re just..sketches, but thank you.” “Are you an artist? Is this your job?” Damn, you’re actually starting a conversation now. “We-well it’s just a hobby, I am not working right now, I’ve been taking a break”. “Oh nice, I wish to take a break too, I am so tired. You should do something with your art in the future, they are awesome!”
“What do you do? If I may ask.. and thank you, again”. You start feeling calmer now, it is nice talking to strangers sometimes. I mean, especially.. this type of strangers, right?
“I am a translator. Novels, books.. and I also write sometimes”
“That is cool! What language can you translate and speak?”
“Swedish to English, I speak it fluent too. Also a bit of Italian, Spanish and French. I love neolatino languages.”
...
The conversation keeps going until 10pm, the café is empty now, the two of you are the last customers left.
“Time to close! Sorry guys.” The barista has finished her work, she could have told you to leave before, but since she noticed the new friendship between you and the cute guy, she decided to leave you chatting until the very last minute before closing the doors. What a great friend she is. She knew the guy didn’t have an umbrella and she gave him one someone has left there a long time ago and never came back for it, probably never will. “Thank you so much!” The three of you leave the café together and she locks the doors.
“You’re welcome, have a good night guys! I’ll be off from work tomorrow so I won’t be here if you happen to come again, so I’ll see you next week!”
“Bye Amy, enjoy your day off!” You and the guy are left alone outside.. Wait a second, you didn’t even ask each other’s names!

God i miss when covid wasn’t a thing, me and my friends used to walk down to the local coffee shop after school and it was cozy and had all types of mugs and a homie type feel. We would buy some coffee with food and just sit down there until it was dark out and just study while the snow would whip at the walls. Uh I loved it so much, but now we can’t do that until next winter, which is so far away😭
