Remember that Apple and Google does not charge Amazon or Netflix that 30%. If fact, Netflix gets to use it's own payment plan without paying the 30%!!
That’s because they made deals beforehand, epic games picked their fight and asked for an exception to the App Store rules and then deliberately broke them.

Let Apple do whatever they want with their App Store. Let them charge 30%. But That’s not the issue. The issue is that Apple is not letting people install whatever app we want in our device. It just blows my mind we should be able to have more than one App Store on iPhone. Let us have this and will see how long their 30% cut will last. I mean Microsoft had to give in and had a huge fine with internet explorer. Why does Apple get special treatment. What is apples argument “oohhh it’s our platform our rules” what about Microsoft. Their operating system their rules. Man I’m not getting any Apple products anymore until I’m able to download software from where ever I want

apple epics move is definitely moved by them trying to make more money but they are the Robinhood because they are the only ones trying to change the 30% cut that is the norm across the entire industry for no reason. The 30% is the standard for physical products due to the logistics and costs involved in PHYSICAL goods, but with digital goods/services you don't even have half of those expenses
Apple built the App Store from scratch, with bringing developers to the platform and creating a huge ecosystem. Its easy for the companies to say that the 30% fees charged by them is not appropriate. But Apple provides them access to a readymade market, which otherwise would have been difficult for any other medium to provide the kind of access that App Store provides. As a user it is hardly my concern how the revenue is distributed, because these game companies are going to gobble up this extra revenue in mos to the cases, which otherwise would end up with Apple.

What if Apple watch can deliver a life saving cardiac shock and prevent cardiac arrest. This could bypass the use of bulky life vests for cardiac patients. That would truly be earth-shattering!! Especially for severely cardiomyopathic patients!!!!!

We make laws and regulations based on use and use cases. My phone doesn’t drive me down the road so it doesn’t need an inspection, but it’s replaced the personal computer for many... which should be open to developers just like MacOS or Windows.

Apple is actually in the green here, you cant want to use Apple's enormous platform to reach gamers and not expect to pay them for it, as they said the 30% is common, the only reason they are bringing a suit against apple is because the other company's were needed that game on their platform, apple doesnt. and lets face it, apple is the giant, so they probably think they got a better chance at scoring big with them.

Apple is Microsoft in the 90’s. They own the machine developers use, they favor their own services and launch the phone with their own apps. Why use anything else? The App Store is there to fill in the gaps for features Apple hasn’t implemented itself yet. And they get the data to see what would work best for new features based on apps people already use such as Parental Controls, Apple Music, etc

I've wanted an iPhone for a long time, but every year the new Samsung phone looks so much better. And thus I get a galexy. But I hope apple releases a phone with better hardware and software than Samsung soon. I'd definitely cop

recession over? We haven't even rich the middle point. The recession ended a while back for the rich, but not for the rest and there are a lot of jobs that will take a lot to come back or will never come back and its going to take time to retrain those people

It’s Apple’s marketplace and device so their rules and their security standards. 30 percent revenue share for access to it is fair. Same with Amazon. No revenue on app no fee. Payment processing is not an accurate comparison as it only handles the payment and not the service/product sold.
Heii70 Yes the consumer phone designed by Apple and Apple is expected to support apps that are screened to their standards. My kids download 3rd party apps on their iPhones but I tell them it is at their own risk if it causes the phone to be unstable.
Fortnite is trash I don’t even play it on my IPhone 11 Pro Max and when I get the 12 Pro Max I won’t play it on it either.

@@enriquetoledo5778 I've always noticed Apple is generally for the masses. The computer illiterate. It's great for grandma, or the person that is overwhelmed with all that can go wrong with Linux or Windows. A pretty design does go a long way in getting people to fork over their money. Don't forget the sweat shops in China though. Those nets on the Apple buildings there aren't for show. Its so they catch the bodies of suicidal Chinese as they scramble to meet quotas to get you your iphone.
