"Good Mourning" is actually a great movie title. It could be a drama about a family dealing with a loss or it could be a murder mystery that involves a morning news show.
Eh, it's not too late! It could be done - better concept, same title, more box office lol
Sounds like an 80's goofball comedy to me.
Hello, I like the idea of the murder mystery that takes place in a morning news show. Can someone please make a movie about that!

@@wonderlucky1912 yes please! Maybe where the morning news show host reports the scene of their own victims’ murders 😳
I think it'd be funnier if he got a text from a random number that just said "good mourning" and thought it was a threat and someone he knew was going to die. It'd still be stupid, but in a different way.
I already think this movie prompt is funnier than MGK's movie
no this is seriously so funny
Literally such a simple difference yet this plot is EXPONENTIALLY better than the one he came up with. Lmfao
And that would’ve even made way more sense for a stoner comedy, playing off the whole paranoia aspect, ditching his technology so he can’t be tracked and traveling cross-country with his friends, the media thinking he was kidnapped and the police searching for him, (which he and his friends are unaware of without their phones, so now think it’s the government out to get them), just so many more opportunities for entertaining plot points

Ah yes. The living embodiment of my least favorite literature trope: the miscommunication
And through text, too. Where you can literally send them a reply asking for clarification that they can respond to at their leisure! This "plot" could have been resolved in like 20 minutes. Maaaybe by lunch time if she was busy.
Curb your enthusiasm does it best
UGHH DONT REMIND ME OF THIS PLOT THING. When a movie can be resolved by two characters having a conversation... I just can't.

Sometimes the miscommunication trope makes sense and works okay, a character hates/is scared of another, is super shy/anxious, etc and needs to build up courage to confront them only to find it was a miscommunication. But here? Nothing has established that MGK's character would be afraid of asking/unwilling to ask his girlfriend what she means.

Stoner films were funny back in the day because 1) they were made by comedians/actors and 2) even though it was illegal for the most part, it was still relatable in an unspoken way. Danny’s critiques are so right on. Thinking smoking weed is somehow badass or subversive when it’s literally a legal and government regulated aspect of most states. From Cody Ko fainting into his bowl of cereal to being paralyzed in a hospital with his “girlfriend”, MGK’s reaction to everything in this movie really is just “Wow. That just happened.”
Ummm awkward, Sunday funday, awko taco
I really like it when the plot of the movie is caused by a minor inconvenience that could’ve easily been solved at the start
Ok dont read my name!,,,,
@@dontreadprofilephoto1728 i wont
Honestly yeah when done well that could be pretty interesting
So... What you're saying is that the solution was super easy, barely an inconvenience?
"where's the pot potter" is lowkey funny af
That was the best part of the whole movie in my opinion 😂
I mean we all have some crazy movie ideas sometimes... he just has the cash to actually make it.
I once had the idea of a movie of a family living a normal life, then they have a car crash and the movie ends.. cause you know .. life ^^
Probably was high at the time of that idea too
Edit: duude i haven't seen the last scene lmaoo
The main protaganist making better facial expressions than KRplusrs do in their thumbnails just shows how genius this movie actually is.
hey its the comment guy
OwO is everywhere
Oh no... From Grian to Greg... Nowhere is safe
The movie is horrible
Personally i think the movie is shit but hey ig
MGK ruined Megan’s rise. I was rooting for her after she exposed how Hollywood executives treated her, even at such an early age. How they only typecasted her as the “hot girl” and how she wanted to show her talent by taking more serious roles. And then…she plays a hot girl in MGK’s movie. Gag.
plus, it's clear in the interviews and everything that MGK is definitely abusive
she ruined it for herself
How so?
@@dudebbro exactly!!! like that freaking engagement ring that HURTS to take off??? people thought that was so romantic and it just screams controlling
Ah yes, but she is lesbian(TM) in the movie so that makes it OK(TM)
Danny I only put up w this for your vids. Thank u for making me know about something I never needed
with movies like this, i always think back to when it was pointed out to me that people think stoner comedies are easy to make and that because it’s a stoner movie, it doesn’t matter if you get high while making it. but classic stoner movies like the ones that came from Cheech and Chong were filmed with them almost completely sober and had a lot of work put in.
That “where’s the pot, potter?” actually made me laugh
See I wanted to laugh because with a real comedian or actor saying it, it would’ve been 10x funnier.
same but in a how is this a real scene in a real movie way
Yeah, me too. Maybe the only mildly funny scene. The hair also helps, lol.
I WAS JUUUUST ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS 😭😭😭😭😭 I had to pause the video and everything, why do I find dumb humor like this so funny 😂😂😂
That reminded me of the ghost stories dub. "Move the board, board mover"
Fun fact: mgk said this movie was inspired by Megan fox literally dming him saying “good mourning” and him flipping out and over obsessing wondering if it was meant to be a bad thing or good thing. He literally said he almost lost his mind trying to figure it out 😂 can’t believe he made this movie
@@MaimV I’m saying 😂
…he’s so weird
Maybe my mans should have sobered up for like… even a second while he was trying to figure out what was happening there
@@SamGlaze or just a simple google search could have cleared it right up lmao
he could've literally just texted a "?" back or something this movie did not need to exist
"London Clash" is the name that a 12yo who just discovered pogo punk gives himself.
You're so hilarious dude. I start my day with u. Keep it up please
Out of everything that happened in this movie the best part was the fact that MGK’s impersonation of Draco and Harry wasn’t bad
right? his british accent was pretty good actually
It's funny because MGK looks like an American Draco Malfoy
Agreed tbh
"...I dun like Draco very much .." fucking killed me ngl
it was slightly enjoyable. but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end 😔
i laughed at "wheres the pot potter!?" and ill never forgive myself for it
I saw this out of context somewhere and I thought it was funny. I had no idea it was part of an actual movie 😂😂
Bro Draco would've been so much less of a prick with some weed
don't feel bad I did too
I think quite a few people got a small laugh out of it, it caught me off guard and I smiled. If you defend the movie or MGK because of it though, thats when you should feel shame
@@judyh3707 i can only consume MGK content through the lens of someone else. My body can't take that cringe solo
Honestly him being high while writing this is a good explanation for why it's so.... bad. I feel like "let's create a movie where I get the text good mourning instead of morning and think I'm being broken up eith and there's a scene where we get high and talk to a lobster" sounds like the kind of ~hilarious~ idea you'd come up with while high
The Bazonga line KILLED me. That was gold. Good work Dandi Gorgancola
I will admit, "where's the pot, potter" got me, I'm sorry and I apologize for laughing
You're not alone my friend
My God we're doomed.
that line was actually funny not bc mgk tho
okay but that ones the only actually funny one
I went looking for this comment in fear of being alone
13:25 when you said "they're both paralyzed" I thought this is a joke. But then it cuts to them actually being fucking in full-body casts in a hospital. I'm literally crying lmao
me too!!
Thank you Danny.. now I can’t get “ i WaNnA bE tHe NeXt SnL cAsT mEmBeR” out of my head. 💀💀💀
