A ton of fighting game series has not gotten a lot of episodes lately, especially the likes that is Guilty Gear with Sol being the ONLY representation in Death Battle.
Personally I want more KOF episodes, but I can understand if Guilty Gear gets more episodes down the line.

I never liked skipping to the fight whenever I wanted to just see the fight scenes and didn’t like watching other channels just post the fight either so this is pretty nice

Torrian left to do bigger, better things. After working on Gen:Lock and Red vs. Blue: Zero, he left Rooster Teeth and joined Respawn Entertainment (the developers behind Titanfall and Apex Legends).
This is still one of my favorite death battles. The fight choreography is a masterpiece to behold.

This animation will never not be incredible. And the fight choreography is amazing. Easily one of the best Death Battles ever.
I guess they saw that fans were doing this and decided to do it themselves. But regardless its nice to do this so people can rewatch if they don't feel like sitting through the full episode again. And this is a good one to start. One of their more impressive episodes of the earlier 3d fights.

Alternately, So many youtubers upload the fights alone (usually without even a mention that they come from Death Battle) so Death Battle is evening the playing field. Plus, it gives them plenty of content while working on new seasons, since they can upload one fight a week (off season) and keep that going for years.
Whoa this is cool, they uploading the fights themselves as their own videos. This is one of the best ones too.

DB are trying a lot more things to increase traffic, like the YT Shorts for example. I think they gained like 300k subs in the last couple of months, so it must be working.

Okay, to be honest, Death Battle JUST uploading their fight sequences while on break is absolutely based. They know they're going to lose money from people not clicking on the longer video, but they'll do it anyway for our convenience. Legends.
I mean it might actually even things out…
Seeing the individual fights might make people revisit the episodes proper again to look up what decided the outcomes.
Oh goody, they're doing THIS now! Also, still one of my favorites, along with Balrog VS TJ Combo. Something about two fighters who are undoubtedly superhuman but otherwise are fighting like normal people with actual martial arts just makes it feel more grounded, like you could almost do the same stuff they're doing, minus the obviously superhuman feats.
One of the things about this + the TJ/Rog fight is it feels... 'even', for want of a better word. Many DB results are glaringly obvious just from the pre-fight analysis; with these, however, you really feel like it could go either way... makes things more interesting!
This is such an iconic episode. No one can deny that. This was just so epic.
What a Battle. The immaculate choreography, the amazing use of voice clips for both combatants, the underrated backing track, this fight is absolutely one of Season 5’s best. My only gripe is the death isn’t really all that special and only adds to the boring selection this season has. But aside from that, this is absolutely one of the best fighting game episodes in the show’s history and an amazing send off for Torian as The Main 3D Animator.
It's absolutly an amazing episode, but unfortunatly, it can't be THE best one of Season 5 because Afro Samurai vs Samurai Jack exist.

It won’t.. they said it’s gone cuz it adds unnecessary extra time into a fluid animation where if that’s there.. it takes away from the animation & it’s storytelling

@@PeteTheGrouch They make previews of the fight animation with the FIGHT graphic ending it, than jumping and starting the actual vid, its the closest the fans will be getting the FIGHT graphic back, hope you enjoy it ^^

This is still amazing 5 years later, I hope we can see Kazuya in an episode next season with Tekken 8 releasing soon.

I would love to see a rematch between Ryu and Jin with all of the new Street Fighter feats that have come out since this particular battle was released and all of the new Tekken feats that will be available after Tekken 8 drops next week!

They very likely did this to counter people who would pirate or steal just the fight animations & upload them on their own on YT.. so DB is doing it to in an attempt to end those people
And they’re not doing this for future seasons.. it’s obv keeping the analysis.. this is just for their old episodes to counter people who steal just the fight & get into copyright territory
They pretty coming back on summer like last year.
they sometimes miss character details.
They sometimes misread cannon events.
They sometimes misinterpret a character’s abilitys.
But they always put on one heck of a show.
And combining all our fandoms is what we’re here for.
and we gotta give them props for that.

The death ball explosion underwater, threw a small island into the stratosphere.
Then they both fell from space to earth WHILE HUMAN without a scratch.
True devil kazuya and angel Jin are on another level compared to Akuma and Ryu.
The feats of kazuya making a volcano erupt with the laser and him destroying a single satellite, got them very close to Alina's feats. After Tekken 8, they are on a different scale.
Let's also not forget that devil Jin destroyed half the earth with a single laser blast, ending most life on earth like it was nothing, just for fun, in his arcade ending. There isn't a single sf character capable of such a feat.
Then you also have angel Jin purifying bad energy and syphoning it off, basically a counter to dark hado (they won't match up angel Jin against Akuma for that reason. It's more likely Akuma vs kazuya or angel Jin vs Ryu with his light hado bs).
Tekken devil Jin and kazuya are on the same level of dragon ball z characters up to and even after the freezer arc. Akuma at his strongest is a small island/mountain level. Jin and kazuya are continent if not planet buster.
He is stronger, faster and has WAY more stamina. And also neverending special abilities, like telekinesis, wind control, electricity manipulation, teleportation, intangibility, can control and produce crystals that shoot lasers, regeneration (Jin took a .50 cal bullet to face and it did nothing), soul absorbing powers and resistance, can feel energy around, can fly, shoot lasers, create force fields, can absorb/ nullify attacks, can somehow best death (hehiachi didn't due from ogre stealing his soul and Jin didn't die after killing Azazel, which would kill anyone), regeneration (Azazel grows back limbs and head, which true devil kazuya can do as well having absorbed him), invisibility ( might be teleportation, mainly from devil Kazumi), resistance to radiation (jacks explosions are nukes, because they are powered by plutonium. Hehiachi took like a dozen small nukes point blank), don't need air in space.
They could just fly or teleport in the air and nuke Ryu or Akuma, destroying the entire continent.
@@kato093 Nope, it wrecked the island and sent a single rock into the stratosphere, which pales in comparison to the meteor shattering feat E. Honda has, who is fodder to Ryu and Akuma. And falling from orbit isn’t impressive.
Erupting a volcano still isn’t as impressive as E. Honda’s feat.
Non canon, Devil Jin isn’t that powerful. All you’re doing is shooting yourself in the foot by trying to use it.
It countered the Devil Gene in particular, not “any evil power” in general. It wouldn’t work on the Dark Hado.
Nobody in Tekken is even remotely that powerful, don’t kid yourself. E. Honda’s meteor feat surpasses everything in Tekken.
A lot of those are just false, can’t be used/don’t matter in the middle of the fight, or flat out don’t help at all.
Again, nobody in Tekken is that powerful. They’re island level at most, that’s it. Mid tier Street Fighter characters are country level.
Try again, Ryu and Akuma still stomp.
Definitely the last thing I expected DB to do, but I very much welcome it! I am one DB fan that likes to watch the fight on its own after the full episode comes out, so if DB keeps doing this, I’ll definitely be a happy camper. Picked a great one to start off too - Ryu VS Jin is easily still one of the coolest 3D fights to this day!
I went from accepting it begridgingly, to doubting the outcome, to accepting it but still loving Jin more, to once again being kinda doubtful but one way or another I love that Tekkens introduction to Death Battle was this awesome fight and seeing Jin go all out
I just kinda wish they changed his personality more in line with his Tekken 5 characterization or at least not have him be as much of a jerk

Pretty sure they're doing it to keep the show in the back of people's mind while off season. If we assume one fight per week and half a year being off season, then that could last them for seven years, not counting new episodes made during those years.
That's seven years of easy content bringing in ad revenue, keep the series in people's mind, and pulling the rug from under youtubers who upload the fights without crediting Death Battle.
That outro feels so old-fashioned, I love it.
Awesome! This will always be a top 3 fight for me. Everything about it is great, the music, the animation, the pace. The person that directed this deserves a pay increase
This is still my top 3 favorite Death Battles. Music, Animation, choreography, tension, escalation, probability, and conclusion.
Jin: "You know, playing a Death Battle in which *I get killed* just two weeks before my new game comes out doesn't really make me feel that good."
Ryu: "Eh, we'll just have to wait and see, bro."
Fight animations seems for the most part, to be the important part of episodes like this. So it is interesting they're doing this now. But I wonder what's next since starting strong with Ryu VS JIn. There are 180+ options remaining you know.

I can't wait for another awesome battle of SF vs Tekken, this was insanely epic. Imagine the production of a new fight with SF6 and Tekken 8 models, would be absolutely incredible!
The lore behind both the Satsui No Hado and the Devil Gene are interesting because they center around the burden of controlling the Evil within. Imagine if Street Figher 6 and Tekken 8 had a crossover where the legends of both the Satsui No Hado and the Devil Gene tie together.
If only such a game could happen.

@@ianlebersztein3711 Why? Vergil's powerset didn't change much with DMC5 (to my understanding) and Sephiroth's powerset has not changed since vanilla FF7... and they only do rematches if the result is different given new information from later installments.

this fight is such a masterpiece i miss torrian's animation so much
i personally feel like for awhile death battles 3d fights kinda fell off after machamp vs goro (yoda vs mickey, batgirl vs spider-gwen, the inferior link vs cloud, akuma vs shao kahn and others were pretty stiff imo) but season 10 has really stepped it up and made a comeback! dimitri vs guts, goku vs superman, and galactus vs unicron have really started to reach the level of quality of death battles like this one and im really glad

@@circularnectarine1439 Yes, the movie released on 2009 and the DeathBattle Jin vs Ryu released 2019. On the movie (you can see yourself) Jin have another form like demon, he defeated his final form demon father kazuya. If you see the movie its not one form, its 2 more form because its the animal femon form and the final controled demon form (more human)

Glad to see the animations themselves get some love, but if all of them are to be uploaded separately, then maybe consider changing the subtitles to look a bit better as white outlined, brightly colored subtitles do not look great in my opinion. Subtle ones look the best in these kind of videos.

This was always a good battle for me: Classic Good vs Evil (even if Jin is more an Anti-Hero he fits the role), good escalation of abilities, good mix of powers and choreography, and hype soundtrack.
Jin is not an anti-hero, you don't cause World War 3 and still be considered an anti-hero, he's evil looking for redemption, at least it seems in tekken 8.
Still one of my favorites to rewatch, honestly didn’t even matter who one if the fight went differently but made this well I would’ve still enjoyed.

One of the coolest fights, had me worried that jim was gunna win but glad ryu came out on top. Two duds who fight their entire lifes(jim sort of). Just like scorpion old vs old, this felt like old school vs new school, 2d vs 3d, capcom vs namco.
Haven't seen a fight with this level of energy in quite a while. And in that old RWBY battleground too! Nostalgia attack

@@Xenocreed first form devil kazuya was stated to be multi-city block level in tekken 8 by Raven. And that same form crushed devil jin. And devil jin had to go angel form to stop an island busting attack from final form kazuya and fought equally with him. Meanwhile power of nothingness ryu survived a fight with sf5 base akuma who is way stronger then when he destroyed an island in base in the past.
@@BigJohn303Devil Jin right now just scorched the planet with a single blast of his laser in his ending. It should be continental to multi continental when the calc results are finally out.
And Angel Jin and TD Kazuya should scale above this.
Tekken gets inconsistent in scaling, but the new Devil Jin feat is accurate and far from an outlier. Keep in mind that Jin was trying to lift that ball's mass, added by the force of Kazuya's powerful push. It's all lifting strength, and lifting strength really isn't directly proportional to Destructive Capability, Attack Potency, and most of all, Strking Strength. Besides, this is bigger and far heavier than ANYTHING Ryu has ever lifted. He can tank an entire island exploding, yes, but can he lift the entire weight of the island? The answer is no, but Jin was able to.
One of the CLASSICS. A fight that most people loved and agreed.
This is still my favourite death battle episode of the whole show. It still will be for a long time
its funny watching this and the DbX where Ryu fought Liu kang now considering that Ryu would probably lose to both, those 2 have both grown as characters, conquered there inner demons and became powerful divine beings arguably the strongest being in there series whereas Ryu has remained relatively the Same seriously there might just have to have Liu Kang fight Jin, Ryu has fell behind

Angel Form
Jin still gets stomped. It took angel jin to stop an island busting energy ball from final form devil kazuya. It was outright stated by jin to have the power to destroy an entire island. An island buster was seen as a big deal. Base akuma alone is island busting.
@@BigJohn303 You do realized Kazuya managed to stalemate Shin Akuma (Yes Akuma is using his Shin form during that fight and Angel Jin managed to stalemate Azazel Kazuya who should be stronger now.)

@Gearmonster Murray makes clear that street fighter and tekken are not canon to each other. But akuma is canon to tekken. Meaning there are two akuma's. Tekken universe akuma and street fighter universe akuma. Tekken universe akuma is way weaker then street fighter universe akuma feat wise.
