Here's how I built a full metal expanding Iron Man Mark 5 "suitcase". This case can unfold into a full metal iron man suit complete with lights, lasers, and fire. The suit is fabricated out of 16 gauge steel that I plasma cut and bent into shape. All the pieces slid into each other to fold down into a suitcase that also features a handle to cary. This was my first time plasma cutting and working the steel in this way so there are definitely things I would change but over all I'm happy with the result and I hope you like it!

For your next use an exoskeleton support system. You are going to have to figure out the weight issue on your own. I would use heavy indes plastic under steel/gav. For a power source batter bank lumbar pack.

The Arc Reactor is where it is because it's EMBEDDED IN HIS CHEST.
It kind of keeps his heart from being torn to shreds by micro-shrapnel.

@@lolchipperson11person12 Could, BUT you're forgetting, the palm repulsors are NOT the only offensive beam weapon the armour has, the OTHER one is the Uni-Beam projected from the Arc Reactor.
I don't recall off-hand if they ever used it in the movies, BUT it is a mainstay of his offensive arsenal in the comics.
Having it there is more than just an aesthetic choice. It's a necessity AND a practicality.

What everyone misses is the exoskeleton! That is what multiplies the strength!! I’ve seen a couple of exoskeletons in the military, maybe you could plate armor one of those exoskeletons.
All the tech is available, you could minimize some Ivision pros, and fit them into the helmet then you could have augmented reality and ai.
I have seen this Italian dude that has developed thrusters mounted in the back and arms, you could minimize that tech also and make it fit the suit so the suit could fly, and I bet you could minimize a great deal of weapons and weapon systems to fit the suit!
Now they have developed in Asia some kind of battery that does not go flammable by any means, so you could use that tech too!
I thinks its about time to make a real functional Iron Man suit.

Request: Build the turret from portal, that senses motion, opens up and then targets people and autofires nerf bullets/air soft bullets once a target gets in sight. Maybe add some audio too if you want a extra challenge.
