I'm not Christian but Rev. Chris makes the religion seem so much better than what other religious leader types have made me feel about it in the past.
Nice. I have a theology class and my teacher is very relatable and has quite interesting and uniques experiences. I find myself smiling whenever I enter the classroom.
This is how religious leaders should be like! I know theres a lot of people who are judgemental but that's not a good representation of how Christianity is like

Just a suggestion, go join a board game group or something, somewhere you can meet people face to face, see them as they are, and without the pressure inherent with a bar or dace club. But you can also back out of if it gets heated or awkward unlike school or work. Bravery is the real miracle. Good luck out there.

Rev. Chris is that really good part of religion. He's so pure and wholesome and I love him. He doesn't use it to judge or to hate, but just to love and accept. Bless his heart ♥️
Most priests I have met are like this, the clergy like Islam is given a bad rep by media.
He acts how God wants us to act, he is a good Christian representation in my opinion
He is exactly what a Christian should be, not shoving stuff in people's faces all the time, not banging on about it on a street corner, not preventing their children to watch films that have cartoon dramatised violence in. Just love and acceptance.

In the past, my parents have been way too protective, and have stopped me watching stuff that is completely harmless. However, I understand their point of view - from an outsider's perspective I guess some stuff can look not too helpful for under-18s.
I was just saying it would be nice if some Christians would be more relaxed about popular culture as quite a lot of it is fine. However I acknowledge we still need to be wary and guard our hearts and minds from things that can be unhelpful.
He is such a nice and cool guy, but he would also be if he was atheist or born in another country or whatever. I like to judge individuals and concepts/groups separately (as far as possible), as there are both idiots and good people in every group.

As a daughter in a similar situation I felt like crying when Chris said that, because it is about the same thing I told my dad when we found out I'm not his biological child. He spent days talking how it was all my moms fault until I told him I didn't care whose fault it was, because it definetely wasn't mine.
He abandoned me anyway.
So to any dad going through this: I know you're hurt and I know it' s difficult, but please have compassion for your kid. It'll need it, because their identity and their parents love for them, both moms and dads, will be what they'll be questioning. They'll need you. Remember: You're their Dad, no matter who was the "sperm donor".

I personally wouldn't even know how to react to that situation.. That is just a big bowl of drama and pain right there.. Not gonna lie.. the mother did kinda mess up bad then, so I would understand it if he wouldn't want to be with the mother anymore but for the child..... it is still your brought-up child, and that is something a father shouldn't forget

@@luthfilhadiyasin277 to clarify: by the time my dad "found out" (did a paternity test) I was 13. Mom and Dad had been seperated for almost 10 years and he had married my stepmom about a year earlier. Although my parents had taken a break at the time aroubd my conception he hadn't cared to ask or make a test within those 13 years. I wasn't told about the whole shenanigans until 2 years later, which didn't make things any better for me. Mom and Dad didn't really talk to each other anyway, so there was no question of staying with her or anything of that sort. Just a daughter (or not?) you had raised for 13 years without any doubt who he chose to abandon.
I get him being angry at my mom. I get him not wanting to talk a single word to her. I get that he felt betrayed. I get that he wanted to tell me that he's not the guilty one. But neither am or was I. And that's the point. It's not the childs fault and they should not be the ones suffering the consequences.
The fact that Rev Chris has a beard now makes him even more wiser

Compulsive lying is usually a form or side-effect of mental illness. Lying, even when it's not necessary, even when you don't _want_ to, is usually because at some point in your life, you *needed* to, or at least felt you did. It can be trauma-based. My suggestion would by a psychiatrist or psychotherapist.
YES! Some people use it automatically as a defense mechanism, usually when they've been in situations where they fear giving the "wrong" answer because of reprisal or shaming as a response. It's also a common symptom of Bipolar Disorder or PTSD, therapy is a good idea.

It can also be a sign of trauma. For me personally I struggled with lying automatically for the first few years of young adulthood because the home life I had growing up was one of abuse in which providing certain answers to anything could result in getting hit, so naturally some trauma victims will be prone to providing whichever answer they think will least provoke. Sometimes it's the truth and sometimes it's not but it's a defense mechanism. It doesn't make it right and it's something people work on but it is what it is not necessarily intentional, spiteful lying.

As someone who has continued to work constantly with my partner, it always saddens me to see people talking about how there isn't a "spark" anymore. There was never a spark to begin with... The effort you put into getting to know them at the start was that "spark". You don't just stop working on a relationship because now you think they're yours for good.

So basically the post got so much traction the girl somehow knew the OP posted in Reddit. The OP met her and her sister who were packing up her stuff. The girl lied to her sister about why she was leaving OP so OP told the sister the truth in front of the girl. The sister and the girlfriend cried, and the sister shouted in anger to OP and left him all confused. It seems it's a family habbit? So OP lost his GF and doesn't give anymore update.
To be fair the explanation is completely ridiculous as socks are very porous and easily let through the taint and germs. To protect the hand (from germs) she could start buying disposable gloves and start using toilet paper/bidet like a normal person.

If he has the strength to still be in her life when the biological dad doesn’t have the courage and respect to step up, that’s great. But he has every right to leave. Especially, if having the person who’s been dishonest with him constantly in his life forever is too much. I don’t think people understand that parenting goes both ways. It affects the child’s life greatly but also the parents’. It’s a serious commitment that should not be half assed and having that foundation be grounded in lies, manipulation, and betrayal is a dangerous place to raise a child in. It’s not a black and white situation that everyone’s making it out to be.

My husband and my path crossed multiple times and out family all knows each other through work. We finally met at a bar. I was the bartender and he was the patron. I gave him my number. We dated for 8 years before we married(married almost 2 years). I love our story and I love telling it. He is my best friend that I wish I had met sooner.

Apparently both her and her sister does this (based on what I read in the thread), so it might be some really fucked up parenting and/or childhood trauma. It sounds kinda funny at first but it's actually pretty sad that she is so scared of getting poop on her hands that she does this...

I really, really like Rev Chris; he carries such a respectful, kindly & hopeful outlook because he believes that everyone has value and deserves love. He seems to posses a great insight into the human character together with a compassion guided by the Bible. JOLLY EPIC, I say!

I'm a polytheist, so I'm not on the same page as him with religion, but, having studied the Christian religions before I decided on my religion hoping to fit in, I'm actually rather happy that he is proper in his presentation of christianity and its values.

I'm not in a relationship, but this is some golden advice I will take with me into the future 😊
In my experience, a lot of times, when people ask for relationship advice, they've already made a decision and just need it be validated by an outside source as a way to deal with the fear of making the commitment
I've been watching your videos for sometime now and of all the adventures and reviews that you have in both your channels, this one's my favorite. I'm not religious anymore but when Rev. Chris says "You're precious", I'm reminded of what being a Christian is really all about. Thanks, Josh, Ollie, Rev. Chris and the rest of the families and the team. I heard a story like that from a close Male friend of mine once. I'll change their names to Mark and Julia in this story to protect their privacy.
So, Mark had a girlfriend a couple years back named Julia. They had been dating for five years and were engaged. Julia had (finally) agreed to move in with Mark and things seemed to be going great at first.
And then one day Mark called me and told me Julia had run away after a fight in the middle of the night, and hadn't come home next day either. I asked him what happened and he starts telling me one of the most bizarre stories I've ever heard.
He had this half-wall with a built in aquarium that he was really proud of. And then shortly after Julia moved in, he noted that some of the fish seemed to go missing. It was mostly the smallest fishes, so he assumed they had been eaten by another bigger fish or died somehow.
But then he had woken up one night and noticed Julia was absent from the bed. He waited, thinking she was just in the bathroom or getting a glass of water, but when she didn't come back for quite a while he decided to go see what she was up to. Apparently, he found her by the aquarium catching fish in a hand net, and then eating them alive. When he asked what the hell she was doing she said she just wanted to take a look, because she thought the fish might be sick. He told her that he saw her eating them and to cut the crap. So she got defensive, grabbed her carkeys and left.
Who the hell eats live fish from an aquarium?! 🤮
